"It's Time for the MONORAIL PUB CRAWL!" April 2013 Trip Report**COMPLETE 7/14

Finally here to catch up from the beginning! I bookmarked your TR but knew I needed a good amount of time to enjoy it and comment.

Phew, I was nervous about your travel day with that horrible weather! Yay for the smart choice of making it to the airport early!

BEAUTIFUL room! I think my favorite was the one where Belle is holding Cogsworth and all the princesses are around her. It's rather entertaining, haha.

I've tried that cobb salad from Brown Derby before, and it just wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I don't think there was anything wrong with the avocado in mine, and I did keep the bleu cheese in there, but it just didn't please me. It was an odd flavor.

UGH, the obnoxious teens on ToT even got ME frustrated! It's so irritating when kids are like that. Yeah, I understand that psychologically they believe that they're invincible and all that stuff. I get that. But when someone corrects them or asks them to stop, then they should come to their senses and think that maybe what they're doing isn't right. Those girls were clearly doing it because they thought they were being cool or whatever. It's one thing if teens are being silly together, but once they start doing things that bother others, I just want to kick them all!

Having an annual pass just makes the world a better place even when you're back at home!

I FINALLY got that Monsters Inc shirt that you also have! I have been wanting it for a while, but I was waiting for it to go on sale. The other day I went to the Disney Store, and they were GONE! I then happened to pass by the clearance shirts that I thought was just for the kiddies when we saw that purple color! They only had 2 left and only 1 of them was a M, so it was PERFECT! Best $10 spent!

I've never been very interested in Food and Wine before, but the things you tried are things that actually make me want to go! Maybe we have similar tastes or something because I would've tried all the things that you tried!

The Grand Floridian tea looks like such a fun and relaxing experience. I think that'd be fun to do with my mom or with my cousins.

They really need to have the rules for Vinylmation stay the same throughout all the trade locations especially now that there are so few! Most places allow two spots; there was one CM that allowed us three even! The only ones that you HAVE to trade are at DStreet from what I know. At my Disney Store, they just have a clear box with 3 there, but they have 2 underneath as mystery that you would have to trade.

Haha, I had wanted to get that Snow White shirt too! We are way too similar, it's hilarious! Especially because we have the same name!

Oh, I love those princess shoe pins! I traded for the Cinderella one, and I THINK I still have it. I haven't seen the entire set before. SO CUTE! I might want to search for some of those the next time I'm there! They have characters shoes as ornaments just like they have those ear hats, and the pins are so much easier to collect.

So excited for all your live updates!

I hope you and Corey had a great time on your trip! I loved your review of Sanaa. I have been toying with the idea of trying that place out on my next trip!

I know, I was soo happy I did that! I would have only been a couple hours of late but that is still a long time in disney time.

It was a beautiful room. I loved it!

I am glad I am not the only one who didn't like it as much as they thought. I normally love chopped salads, but it did have an odd flavor.

Haha love your wisdom on that. I am sure I would have been like that when I was younger but I really hope not.
Having an annual pass just makes the world a better place even when you're back at home!
It does. I love the fact that I could leave tomorrow and not pay for the parks. I have a trip planned in December and then in March. After that I don't think I am going to renew. We want to try Disneyland and I want to try a cruise.
I FINALLY got that Monsters Inc shirt that you also have! I have been wanting it for a while, but I was waiting for it to go on sale. The other day I went to the Disney Store, and they were GONE! Wow good deal!! I have been collected the MonstersU vinylmation. I only need like three more!
I've never been very interested in Food and Wine before, but the things you tried are things that actually make me want to go! Maybe we have similar tastes or something because I would've tried all the things that you tried!
Oh, you should go during Food and Wine!! It is SUCH a great time to go. I enjoy Epcot so much more when there are food booths. Although this trip report is the Flower and Garden which coincidentally has the food and wine now. I love it!
The Grand Floridian tea looks like such a fun and relaxing experience. I think that'd be fun to do with my mom or with my cousins.
I loved it. I think I am doing it again in March!
They really need to have the rules for Vinylmation stay the same throughout all the trade locations especially now that there are so few! Thanks for that tip about Dstreet! I actually traded there and thanks to you, I knew about the rule!
Haha, I had wanted to get that Snow White shirt too! We are way too similar, it's hilarious! Especially because we have the same name!
That is funny. And we spell our names right! I hate when there is an added a in there
Oh, I love those princess shoe pins! I traded for the Cinderella one, and I THINK I still have it. I haven't seen the entire set before. SO CUTE! I might want to search for some of those the next time I'm there! They have characters shoes as ornaments just like they have those ear hats, and the pins are so much easier to collect.
They are pretty cute! I let Emme trade me one of them. I forgot which one she took.
So excited for all your live updates!

Wow thanks so much for your comments!!

Great update and pics.

Thank you!!

I hope you and Corey had a great time on your trip! I loved your review of Sanaa. I have been toying with the idea of trying that place out on my next trip!

We did have a great time and I am sad to be back to reality. It might have one been of our best trips yet! You should try Saana. I really liked trying it.

Hi everyone! I am back from WDW! I had a great time!

Last I left off we were at Magic Kingdom PM EMH.

I really wanted to watch Philharmagic but Emme didn't want to so we decided to go on the carousel instead.

The castle looked exceptionally beautiful with the wet ground.

I was being lazy and did not want to get up on a horse so I decided to sit in the little carriage thing.

This was my neighbor.

Meee!

Afterwards we decided to do a little sword pulling. I have never done this before. First Emme pulled.

Then i pulled! I wasn't strong enough.

I headed over to the Tangled area next. I didn't see it all trip so I finally wanted to see it!

It really is a gorgeous area with the lanterns and the music playing in the background. It really is a darn shame Rapunzel doesn't meet there. I don't know why?

Next it was new fantasyland time!

There was basically no one there. Have I mentioned I love EMH??

Walk on for Little Mermaid ride- so that is what we were doing!

Finally the first decent picture of Sebastian I took. It is hard to get his eyes as I believe they are a projection.

When we got off of course we headed straight for Ariels Grotto, of course with no one else in line! Amazing!!!

There was one family getting their picture when we got in but after them there wasn't anyone else in line. This was probably at like 11:30 at night so all of the CMs and Ariel were just slap happy! it was the best character interaction ever. Emme had her Ariel toy and wanted to show Ariel it. Ariel just loved this toy!! She thought it was so funny that there were two heads for her!! And she thought Prince Eric was cute.

These CMs were just dying of laughter. It was awesome.

Of course I had to get my picture with the beautiful Ariel so I was next

I loved her!

Welcome back. I'm sure you had a fantastic time!!

Oh my I will just never tire of looking at MK nighttime photos. Stunning!

Ha, such a cute M&G with Ariel. I much prefer finned Ariel over the legged dress wearing version. So comical that I also had the same Mickey sticker that Emme has when I met the Mermaid.

I'm so glad you guys enjoyed your trip! I hope it wasn't too hot. Can't wait to read alllll about it.

Every trip I go I promise myself I will make it through an extra magic hour, and every time I fail in that aspect. This next time, it will happen!!

Okay...I'm caught up again.

Loved the Monorail Pub update and the drinks looked yummy.

Thanks for the Panama Beach update...looks like you had a lot of fun, and it looks beautiful. Sorry for the awful flight home though.

LOVE the interaction with Ariel...so very sweet; great pics.

Welcome back!

I just love the pics from the Ariel M&G ..... so cool that all you got to spend some quality time with her! :)

After our meet n greet with Ariel we went to Gaston's Tavern!

And yes, I had to get lefou's brew! It was midnight but i thought it would be fun! Patty got Emme milk so she could drink it and go to sleep.

I look crazy! I think I only had about half of this.

Then we headed for the exit.

We went into the Main Street emporium to go shopping. Patty wanted to get Emme a pin starter set. While she was in line a kid came up to me and wanted to trade pins! He wanted my Art of Animation that I bought to keep. I felt bad when I told him no! I told him I would trade a princess shoe but that I didn't think he would want it. I felt bad telling him no on trading. Was that mean/wrong of me?? I know CMS have to trade but as a guest do I have to?

While in the store I saw Sarah Bricker- haha stalker! I knew they were there while I was there but I didn't see them until just now.

Precious Moments display! I collect disney precious moments.

Everything looks so serene this late. I want to participate in more PM EMH but I am just so old and value my sleep! At home I am in bed by 10:30 and even though I am at disney I just can't stay up that late, sadly.

We got back to the hotel relatively quickly.

Next up: our last day!

This morning was our last day at Disney. My flight left at 5PM so I had to take Magical Express at 2pm.

We had a Kona breakfast reservation this morning but we decided not to go. We were too tired. I always miss that darn Kona reservation. In december, I am definitely going though!

Patty got here car packed up and then I got my luggage checked in. I don't remember what I did with my carry on- either I kept it in Patty's car or I checked it at the hotel?

We got to Magic Kingdom and the street party was going on.

After the street party I went to the Rapunzel area to check it out finally in day light.

It really is a pretty area. I know I have said it before, but it is a darn shame that Rapunzel doesn't meet there!

My favorite feature is her tower and the waterfall.

We had a date this morning and it was at Be Our guest!

The line didn't take too long.

We sat in the library room since that is the brightest and most comfy room!

I ordered the turkey sandwich and the strawberry cupcake AND the chocolate creme puff!! Haha, I wanted to have both.

I got the green beans with the sandwich.

I really enjoyed the turkey sandwich. The greens and onions in the sandwich were really nice! I was worried the bread would be crusty but it wasn't. It was very soft and light! I hate crusty bread.

The creme puff was bigger than I thought it would be and delicious!

The strawberry cupcake is still my favorite because i love the strawberry mousse inside!

We visited the rose room.

And I got my picture taken in front of the beautiful stained glass mural.

It is really such a great counter service restaurant. I love it!

After breakfast we went on Emmes favorite ride- Little Mermaid ride!

On the ride I had a freak out moment that I didn't remember where I put my pandora bracelet- I really hoped I had it in a safe place as I have like $800 worth of beads on that!!

On the way out of new fantasyland we realized each of the 7 dwarves signs on the walls around the mine road were themed to Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid.

One of the dwarves using a dinglehopper

Another one of the dwarves(Doc?) with Lumiere.

When we got to the hub we passed the street party again! This time Emme participated and danced her little tush off!

After the dance party we wanted to do one more ride and that was Pirates.

Mermaid scene, such a creepy scene!

After this I had to get my last snack of the trip. The citrus swirl!!

A little crooked. I was so annoyed with this family by us. They were sitting in between my table (half of the family to the right and half to the left). The little kid kept moving between the two scenes and was literally pushing me to get past me! I was so annoyed. Just trying to eat my citrus swirl in the shade and I am getting shoved.

We made a very leisurely pace out to the front. I realized I was really running short on time and that we would need to hurry up if I wanted to make magical express. Patty made the decision that she would just drive me to the airport. Which was fine with me! So, we spent a little bit more time in MK.

Emme got one of those long suckers!

She was eating it on the way back and she started to fall asleep in her mom's lap and her arm was leaning over with the sucker and then the sucker fell on the dirty bus floor! Haha!

WE made it to the airport with plenty of time. We didn't realize there were tolls on the way, luckily we had some change.

Emme cried when I said goodbye and it broke my little heart!

At the airport I found out the news about the boston bombings so that put a damper on my trip. How horrible that was. I ate my cake pop at the airport which was delicious. I got one for me and one for corey. He loved that souvenir.

When I got home and unpacked I realized I left one croc in disney! I called them to find it but they never found it! Hmm..something fishy there! I did find my pandora bracelet there, it was in my bag all along.

Anyways, I had a great trip! It was fun to go at a more relaxed pace and fun to go with a little girl. Being in disney with a kid is completely different, and fun!

I loved the flower and garden festival with the food addition and am looking forward to hopefully going next year.

Thanks for reading and I hope to start my new trip report soon! I will post a link when I start!

Hahaha....have you ever been driving along, and you see like one shoe in the road? I always wonder how just ONE shoe and not TWO shoes end up in the road. Thanks to you Rach, now we know...

Hi Rachel! Nice finish to a great trip! Glad you had your bracelet tucked away safe. :)

Kona for breakfast is definitely on the itinerary! That is my favorite breakfast in WDW so I'm looking forward to it and even better that you will be there!

BoG for lunch sounds like a great choice. Who wouldn't want to dine in a castle? Plus the food looks good. Were there French fry options with the sandwich? Oh, and I'm with you about the strawberry cupcake - THE BEST!

I look forward to your PTR. Is this for the December trip or did you slip another trip in there. :upsidedow

Glad you had a good time on your most recent trip!

Aww, that does sound like a fun meet with Ariel.

I have a small collection of the Disney Precious Moments too. They are so cute. If only they weren't so expensive. :(

Great wrap up Rachel. There's never anything wrong with a little extra MK time, that's for sure. Nice to have a drive to airport.

Thank goodness your bracelet was safe and sound.

Looking forward to the July TR. :goodvibes

Awesome pics! :goodvibes

It was definitely hot but it was bearable. I failed miserably on PM EMH this past trip.

Okay...I'm caught up again.

Loved the Monorail Pub update and the drinks looked yummy.

Thanks for the Panama Beach update...looks like you had a lot of fun, and it looks beautiful. Sorry for the awful flight home though.

Panama City Beach is awesome! My favorite beach ever. The ariel interaction was perfect!
Welcome back!

I just love the pics from the Ariel M&G ..... so cool that all you got to spend some quality time with her! :)
Thanks!! It was so funny. I love character meets like that!
Hahaha....have you ever been driving along, and you see like one shoe in the road? I always wonder how just ONE shoe and not TWO shoes end up in the road. Thanks to you Rach, now we know...
Haha. Yeah I always wonder how that happens! I just can't believe they never found it!

I am so excited for Kona. I can't wait to meet you and everyone else! It is actually my Trip report for my july trip last week.
I just found out that I get to vegas for work in september! I thought of you because don't you always go to vegas for work?? It is only for 2 days but I think I might fly in a little early and late to take in some sights. I have never been there!

Glad you had a good time on your most recent trip!

Aww, that does sound like a fun meet with Ariel.

I have a small collection of the Disney Precious Moments too. They are so cute. If only they weren't so expensive. :(
They are expensive! I have a small collection too actually. I have 5 of the big ones and then like 4 of the ornaments. They are adorable, especially the parks ones.
Delurking to say that I really enjoyed your TR! I can't wait to read the next.
Thanks so much for joining in!!
