It's time for Maleficent to get to steppin'!!!!

"Joleficent" has arrived on the scene.....and she looks MAGNIFICENT!!!!! It's the same girl that plays Elsa but she makes a pretty good Maleficent too!!!!

We don't need this green one any more.......don't get me wrong-I'll miss her dearly because I grew up with green Maleficent but we don't need both.

Ah, what Disney needs- for their friend of Elsa to have even less availability!

I think they both look great, though in some of the photos the mask/chin prosthetic on green Maleficient looks too fake- so I think plain Maleficient looks better in that respect.

I like em both. I prefer the classic (not old!!!) Maleficent for parades and maybe the Villains special m&gs. But I think the new one would be much less intimidating to young children in the regular park m&gs.

We saw the movie this evening and now DD is asking to meet non-green Maleficent at WDW. She loved it!

I'm okay with green Maleficent in the Fantasmic show. From far away her costume and makeup are striking. Up close, the prosthetic seems to peel easily and look tacky...not sure if this is because of the piece itself or due to the CM having to do her own makeup, but a lot of the green Maleficents look really...strange.

I voted both, but then looking at the pictures... ewww. The fantastic classic character does not translate well to in person. Either improve the prosthetics and makeup. I saw her at a little distance at the Halloween party and thought she looked OK.

BUT, the Jolie-new version is so good and relatively close in spirit, I say use it in the parks except for very special circumstances.

So I am hedging my vote to MOSTLY the Jolie version.

I voted both since I tend to like the different Maleficent's for separate reasons. The classic green Maleficent will always represent the villain that terrified me as a child. The new movie based Maleficent is absolutely stunning IMO and appears more natural and will be more child friendly at the parks.

In my perfect little world, I would like to keep the classic Maleficent for the Villain's shows and parades while utilizing the new movie character as a great character interaction for meet and greets. Although I can see how that would be confusing for younger children and some park guests.

Thanks everybody for voting in the poll!!!! We almost have a 3 way split!! Well- Disney just released pictures of the new Disney Infinity 2.0 and it's not good news for the green one!! It looks like Joleficent is here to stay!!!!

I don't like the new one at all. The old green is more striking. The new one is more frightening because she looks too normal. It's easier to convince little kiddos that the green one isn't real.
