There is a bridge you can cross. It looks like a lot of walking, but it's not that bad, really. Of course, after walking around MK and Epcot, walking around POR seems like a walk to the mailbox LOL

:lmao: do the mansions have elevators? or just stairs?

A question for all POR experts. I requested AB so that I can get a trundle, so my kids don't have to share beds. CRO told me that I can't request a trundle room unless I am a family of 5 since they have first dibs on the option. I have stayed in Magnolia Bend before and absolutely loved it! A few years have gone by and my 15 yo son will not tolerate sharing a bed with his little sister. I can bring an air mattress if it is necessary, but would prefer not to. Any advice?

Thanks in advance!

I would think that if you told them you had two different sex children they would assist you. I cannot imagine them making these two share a bed.

We're a family of 4 and we had a trundle bed in the past. The trundles go to families of 5 with a first priority, and then they'll be booked out to a family of 4. I'd say your chances of getting a trundle are pretty good as the AB section has a lot of rooms with trundle beds.

When I was a kid, my Mom and I used to share a bed and my Dad and brother shared the other.... Will this work???

Us Too! We have a family of 4...I requested this when I made the reservation, called back 2-3 days prior to arrival and requested again, and then we arrived to check in I just said (very nicely) that if there was a trundle room available we would really appreciate getting one...I explained that two sisters sleeping together was asking for a "not-so-magical" vacation and a trundle would solve our problem....bingo!...we were given a trundle room. :thumbsup2 It may not be possible, but I bet they will do everything they can to make your stay magical!

Thanks for the replies!

I will make the request to the room assigner right before the trip. If I am not comfortable that they will accommodate the request, I'll pack the air mattress.

I appreciate the suggestion about splitting up, DH and DS15 might be a little squished in the doubles. DD and I would fit just fine!!!

Mkycrzy1971,

Have a great trip! I just noticed your counter!!! Let me know how it works out for you at POR!

Subscribing. After reading a lot about POR, I am considering staying here when I take my first trip to WDW in 2 years (hopefully). It looks beautiful and relaxing!

Thanks for all the info!

I went to POR during spring break and the CM was very accomodating. Based on the unofficial guide I had decided that I had wanted AB and I think it was bldg 18. 14 is close to everything but I was afraid that it would be too noisy. They said nothing was available in non-smoking for that bldg and had me in the mansions. I didn't want the mansions and the CM found non-smoking in bldg 27 which I thought was close to everything except the parking lot and that wasn't such an inconvenience to me.

im sure they do just look in disneys website and from there go to por and they have the adress there.

but i do have a question for anyone, this will be my 1st stay at a dis hotel and i hear soooo much about mousekeeping and tiping but do you have the same person everytime clean your room? or is it diff each time?

Most of the week you will probably have the same person but, since they do have time off, there will be someone else cleaning your room at some point. It could be any day of the week. Just in case, if you are tipping, leave something every day.

What is it customary to leave each day?
I tip $4 a day and give extra when I request extra things. We are a family of 5 but I feel that they clean the same size room no matter how many people are there... That's just us though. :)
