My DD's will be 4 and 3 when we travel. I have a double umbrella stroller so that we can carry stuff and they can ride when (not if) they get tired. I am planning on bringing them back to POR for the afternoons. Is this easy to do from POR? That was one of the biggest reason I chose POR. It looked pretty central for a moderate resort. I will check out the traveling with kids board too.

Wasn't trying to make this into any sort of debate at all. I thought for sure that on one of the Dinsey DVD's when talking about the hotels they said any guest staying at any of the Dinsey Resort Hotels could use the ammenities at any other Disney Resort Hotel. If I misunderstood that or heard it incorrectly, or missed any exceptions they may have stated, I appologize. I think for my own sake I'll take a look back though some of those DVD's. Other than that I'll leave it alone.

Just over 6 months till our stay at POR. I guess it makes the wait harder when you book over a year in advance!!

For the double stroller. Its just a pain getting them on and off the buses, folding them up, unfolding them, etc. We have a double stroller for our kids. Its bigger than a double umbrella. I always tried to find a spot on the bus where it would be most out of the way and always stood with it. I've been on the Green line in Boston more than enough times where standing isn't an issue on public transportation for me. No sence in me taking up a seat while holding a stroller. So if you can deal with getting it on and off the busses, then you shouldn't have any issues. (again not wanting to start a big debate, just passing along my previous experience based on the question asked. :teeth:)

handicap18 - Don't worry about any debates that never really took off. It could have but we all put that to a stop. ;) Everyone has their right to ask any type of questions they want. That is how we get answers! This board is great for answering our questions and I have learned a lot.

Now the stroller bit...IMHO I brought a Graco Duo-Glider stroller and it really was a pain in the butt to get on and off the busses. I realize that it is much larger and bulkier than a double umbrella stroller. When the busses are packed, strollers are even worse! After our first experience, we have always rented the double strollers.

this is my favorite place to stay of all the ones I have stayed at We primarily stayed there cause my son wanted to fish and this is one of places he could do that and boy did he fish, lol I would definately stay there again. We rented a boat and we also used the boat to go to DTD. I also would like to try POFQ just as something sort of different. Enjoy!

No need to apologize to anyone--don't worry about it! I too sometimes misunderstand (who doesn't??). I hope that you did not take my response to your post negative:flower3: ---just wanted everyone to know the Disney policy so that it did not start a potential problem. Enjoy your upcoming vacation...we leave in 7 days, 5 hours and 50 minutes!! :cheer2:

Cathy - Here is a link to another post that shows a picture of the new H2O products. New Toiletries
Figures you would be on top of this one!!! :rotfl2: :thumbsup2 They look bigger but not very Disney-like. I only wondered cause if we run low on the shampoo we are bringing I was just going to use Disney's. I also see from pics that there is a blowdryer. Thats a big help. I will only have bring my curling iron then. Thanks!

Just back on saturday am, awesome trip. Weather was very nice. Crowds were moderate, but took advantage of fast passes. No dreams, we didn't even see the dream team! We stayed in building 27, room 2742. Awesome location!!:goodvibes Any ?'s!!
Yaaaa:cheer2: I requested building 15, 16 or 27 for these very reasons..close to everything! Glad you had such a nice trip but where was the dream team??? Are you doing your own trippie???

Ugg, we had the same experience with our double stroller...it was great in the parks etc but the bus part was terrible...trying to get it folded and out of people's way..and it was so heavy. So this year we are trying two umbrella strollers that can hook together or not. They are really lite weight. Hopefully it will work out.

how many requests should you put in? we are not going for a while, but I want to make sure I get it right. we want pool view, first floor, mansion. I don't have to put non-smoking, since all hotel rooms will be non-smoking by December. Is 3 too many? Should I request a particular mansion instead of just saying mansion?

This isn't a great picture, but here it is

I read that the new mugs come in the travel style only, though someone please correct me if I'm wrong on this. You can get a black, silver, or blue handle.

Can you use the more generic mugs only at POR or at other places in the World, too?

Sorry if this has been asked/answered a bazillion times before but I'm new at this...:)

On the subject of mugs, can you use these refillable mugs at either POR or POFQ? If I walk to the other resort for one of their snacks I wanted to know if I can carry my mug since they seem to be sister resorts.

I believe the POR/FQ mugs are interchangable, since all other PO amenities are interchangable. The new mugs look nice - I can't wait to get one, or two! :)

looking at staying POR in the mansions but was wondering, how do you get around the lake? do you have to walk clear all the way around the resort to get there?

There is a bridge you can cross. It looks like a lot of walking, but it's not that bad, really. Of course, after walking around MK and Epcot, walking around POR seems like a walk to the mailbox LOL
