Its THAT Time of the Month Again...

Can anyone tell that I REALLY don't want to sit down and pay my bills?

I hate this task too..I do not know how I paid bills before ON-LINE banking cause I HATE writing checks--!!!! BUT IT MUST BE DONE..so i will be thinking of you while I DON'T want to do mine either!!!!!

I can pay all but 3 of my bills online, and one of them is going to be direct pay out of my checking account soon. Since I only get paid once a month, I can usually convince myself to sit down and pay the bills right when my money is there, but there are times when I just don't want to. I think for the next 5 months I won't mind, because I will be making my cruise payments!

Tink - I have never done the on-line banking thing, but I am very interested. Do you charge all of your bills to one credit card (one that gives rewards, I hope? ) and then write one check to the credit card? Are there any fees associated with this?
Can you explain it to me?

Bean, I pay the bills because I usually don't mind doing it too much. Besides DH is the wage earner in this household. I figure that the LEAST that I can do is SPEND the money!

Mickeyfan - we are paid once a month too and I pay everything on one day. But that makes some stuff pretty early...and some stuff pretty LATE. So I had better get going here! (And I don't HAVE any fun stuff to be paying for... - I REALLY wish that we had a POUT smilie! )

ACK!!! Well at least I have Quicken up and running, but in my Billminder I was reminded of the fact that our quarterly local taxes AND water and sewage are due this month. ACK!!! That is ANOTHER $350 to be spent this month...

I only have a few things that I still mail a check for I even said something to my DD's dance school that it would be nice to be able to pay online to them too

Yep Kath - got the majority of them done this afternoon. Now it is time for that game I like to call "Juggle the Credit Bills."

I don't KNOW Nikole - sometimes I would rather deal with 'that' time of the month than bill paying time of the month.

And janette - can you tell me about the on-line bill paying? I just signed up for my Discover Card at their website and signed up for SmartCheck - their on-line bill paying.
I was a little concerned about giving out my bank info, but I did AND I made my first payment that way. Are the other places similar? You submit your bank info and tell them how much you want to pay and then you are set? Seems pretty simple to me. Do you print confirmation of payment for each bill? Please, if you have any hints, let me know.
