Either tomorrow afternoon or Wednesday, I'll be making the move back up to the lake again for the next 8 months or so..:yay::yay::yay: We've been having a string of absolutely gorgeous weather here and I can hardly wait to make my great escape..;)

I still have to get groceries - and pack the last minute stuff - but other than that, I'm good to go..:goodvibes

Not sure if I'll be able to climb over all the totes and such to get to my internet connection when I arrive up there (LOL) - and I'm sure I'll be pretty busy for awhile trying to get unpacked and all settled in - but sooner or later I'll pop in for a bit to see how everyone is doing here.. I've been so busy lately with my various projects; getting packed for the lake; enjoying the outdoor weather; etc., I actually forgot my password when I tried to log back in tonight!! :rotfl:

Hope you're all having this awesome weather that we've been having.. Looks like spring has arrived!!!!! :yay::yay::yay::

Oh goody.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

C. Ann, if that crazy woman is back this summer, do us all a favor and shoot her on sight. No one can go through another summer of that drama....:rotfl:

Have a safe trip and it sounds wonderful to be spending the summer in such a beautiful place.

Cheers

I was happy to see your post here this evening. I had noticed you hadn't been here in a while. I'm glad you're headed home and I hope it'll be a lovely summer for you. :cloud9:

Yay! We still have 4 more weeks before we head to our place on the lake. Unfortunately, we can only go on weekends as it's 90 miles from work. Someday, though, we hope to be there from May 1 to October 15 every year.

Which lake do you go to?

Yeah, you're back :thumbsup2! Best wishes for a safe trip to your peaceful safe haven. :goodvibes

Yes, we're enjoying the beautiful spring weather and nature's rebirth of colorful flowers/trees too. :flower3:

It's a welcomed site this year after a long cold winter of much snow and ice that destroyed our heat pump!
:guilty:

C. Ann I am so happy for you, I know how much you enjoy being at the lake. Enjoy the next 8 months and happy spring/summer. :flower3:

I've been wondering if you're back at the lake! :goodvibes

I hope you have a great summer there.

We are looking forward to getting back up north to our property, may do so this weekend as it's supposed to be about 70. Can't wait!

Great news, C. Ann! I know you love your lake home, and I wish you 8 months of good weather! I wouldn't mind packing it all up to go live by a lake all summer. Enjoy!!

I'm here at the lake now - arrived last Wednesday.. It was an astounding 87 degrees when I got here - and two nights later, I was looking out the window at snow showers..:rotfl: Today is sunny - mid 50's - and going down to about 30 degrees tonight.. The nights are going to be cold for awhile, but the days are looking pretty decent - sunny and in the 50's or 60's till Thursday night - then it's supposed to start raining off and on right through the weekend..

Only problem I encountered when I arrived was a cracked water pipe - but that's pretty much something I can count on every year.. My son-in-law put a temporary fix on it and will do the normal repair in a week or two..:)

I've been busy cleaning, unpacking, and getting settled in, so there hasn't really been any time for DISing.. Still have more to do, but thought I would pop in for awhile and see what's been happening on the boards.. Figured I deserved the break..;)

I'm so happy to be back here!!! :yay::yay: Looking forward to a great stay and hoping that I can make that December 1st deadline before I leave to go back to DD's this year..:thumbsup2

Thanks for all the good wishes! :goodvibes

:goodvibes Congratulations! Enjoy your time there.

Glad you made it there ok C. Ann. I love reading your posts from the lake. I hope you dont have any problems this year and that its nice and peaceful for you. So what projects do you have planned for the summer? I am a little behind sometimes, is it the scrapbooks, ceramics, quilts? I wish I was crafty like you!1 Also you should do a little cookbook too!!

I'm counting on having a peaceful year..:goodvibes I refuse to invest my energy in unhealthy relationships and I think I have made that abundantly clear to those who "needed" to hear it - not only here at the lake, but in every aspect of my life.. :)

For now, the "projects" are finishing up some crocheting; quilting; returning to my crazy devouring of books (lots of Amish books on hand to start with;) ); working on my recipes (the muffin collection - as well as the other "general" recipes); and later on, possibly going ahead and having my DD and her DH bring up my ceramic/resin/plastercraft painting projects.. :)

I also need to repaint the large rocks outside that my late DH did years ago.. He carved/chiseled various cartoon characters/animals/fish/etc., into them - then painted them and sealed them with polyurethane - but after years and years of not having been touched up, they're starting to fade away.. I'm afraid if I don't get to them this year, we may lose them forever..:(

There won't be any scrapbooking done up here - just not enough room to spread everything out - but I'm sure that if I get tired of my other "projects", I'll find some new ones to jump into..:)

Since I'm here so early in the season, I'm hoping that I might catch a glimpse of a "moose on the loose" - from a distance, of course..;) Camera is all charged up and close at hand at all times, so here's hoping I get some shots of some interesting wild life..:thumbsup2
