It's soo hott in California :(

Just another day in paradise for us Phoenicians. :cool2:

I feel really bad for those of you who are in 100+ temps with no a/c. The only way we manage to stay sane here in the desert is to hibernate from June-October in our a/c cooled cocoons.

Yes, it's hot but --
- It's much more pleasant than Las Vegas or Orlando
HEY! :rotfl2: It's only supposed to be 112 today. ;)

I can handle it here way better then I could handle the heat AND humidity in Orlando. :scared: YUCK!
I'll take a dry 112 degree day in Vegas, over a sticky, muggy 85 degree day in Orlando anytime!

I like that. And yep, that's pretty much what we are doing right now. Hibernating in our "A/C cooled cocoon" until October! :rotfl:

Just returned from lunch and I had to use my windshield wipers. Also one of my co-workers ran back into the office to get her sweater. I'm in Newport Beach, CA. :confused3

I am near Sacramento as well and today it is supposed to be 112! BLEH! And of course we are going to the Music Circus tonight. Luckily it is no longer outside but we have to wait outside before they let us in. I am hoping since it is so hot that they let us in earlier than normal! We leave on Monday for Disneyland and the extended forcast says mid 80's. That sounds like Heaven compared to the 100's we have been having here all week plus this awful smoke! I can't wait to leave!

I remember going to Music Circus when it was hot...they SO didn't let us in any earlier than normal, but it was just a dress rehearsal so maybe it will different for you...hopefully it will be!

The smoke is SO horrible today! I doing anything outside because of the smoke.

Rub it in why don't you! Get out a green crayon and color me in, because I'm in envy.

Today's weather is so weird and I wonder if it's going to be like this during this weekend when I'm going to stay at DLR. The morning was cloudy and it reminded me of being at the beach. Once the afternoon came, the clouds disappeared. It's so weird, there shouldn't be clouds in LA/OC in July!

Personally I LOVE the hot weather. I live in by Salt Lake City, Utah, where we get both extremes of the weather spectrum (sometimes within one day of each other-the weather here is so annoying and random!) and I would much rather be sweating in 100 degree heat than brushing snow off my car in 12 degree weather. Even high sixties I can barely stand. Its gotta be 70s to 90s for me!

I'm not happy unless it's 80. 70's are too cold. In the 80's is just right. :cool1: When it is in the low hundreds our house gets too stuffy in the afternoon. Inlaws live up in Lincoln but they have a pool and AC so sometimes it is better to be there! ;)

KC- best wishes to your son. Hope he is feeling better!

I live about 15 minutes from LAX Airport, and work 5 minutes from there, and the days have been warm, but not hot. It's really comfortable here.

My cousin is coming out from Spain on Saturday, spending a few days here, then going to Vegas for a day, and then driving to San Francisco before coming back to LA & returning to Spain.

I told him to bring all kinds of clothes because he's going to run into nice weather, HOT WEATHER and who knows what weather in SFO.

Oh how I remember those Music Circus nights before they had AC! My Aunt has season tickets and some years we have seen more of the shows then her and her seats are in the front row so you have the heat from the lights too! The smoke this afternoon was terrible, at this rate I'll never get rid of this bout of bronchitis and asthma.

OK.....all you Sacramento area folks, do tell, what is MUSIC CIRCUS?

I'm just melting. Our house with tons of windows gets all afternoon sun, and even with new windows, new AC, new insulation and new patio cover, I can't get it lower than 79 in here today (well when its 111 outside, what should I expect right?).

It's a musical theater production in the round for the summer since 1951 which used to be under a huge tent. Now they have a nice building with AC.

Yes SO much better than the tent! Last night was Sound of Music. Didn't quite like the actress playing Maria but then no one can quite compare to Miss Julie! But the children in the production were adorable especially the little Gretel! As was the lady who played Mother Superior! However the restaurant we went to before, it seemed their AC either was broke or wasn't working right and I was DYING!

And usually I bring a sweater as they have it cranked so cold in there but I didn't need it. It wasn't even cold in THERE last night! LOL!

omg, you girls have no idea!
im 6 months pregnant and I NEED A/C!!! LOL
I have that baby cranked down to keep my body temp down.
This is just way to hot!!!

Were driving down to DL tomorrow morning, and im looking forward to the cooler weather. After the 5 hour drive. :) he he

Blech I agree, this smoke is grossing me out! :smokin: I can't wait for the fires to end...sending pixie dust to all the firefighters out there pixiedust:

And I love to see all the Sacramento area folks on here! Apparently I'll have to check out this Music Circus, sounds cool :)

oh stop whining, the year before this time, it was 105 degrees everyday and at night, its insanely humid. :thumbsup2

At least now, it does get pretty chill and nice at night. :)

Then again, i am kinda used to it sitting in 105 degree heat for the whole summer last year.

At least you all don't have to worry about humidity plus the heat !!

In Virginia, the humidity is UNBEARABLE ! it's gross.

I go out with my hair wet and it dries within 2 minutes.

You're right. I went back east once that kind of heat is worse. Anyway, today was only in the low 90's. Much more tolerable. :cool1:
