It's Opening Day!!! What are the lines to get in/crowds like???

Excited for all those who get to visit SWGE today! It's 6:30 am in CA right now. Just curious as to what the lines are like to get into the park?

I'm interested too. I've been looking for live feeds and can't find anything. I'd love to see pictures of how long the line got. I'm guessing with the reservations it probably wasn't that crazy.

DL is using a reservation system that limits the amount of people in the land at one time. That is keeping the crowds and SR wait time down. Will be interesting to see how they handle the hour overlap at 11 and also when the first groups time over at 12.

Honestly from what it's been described as & what I saw last night, that's what I saw too. Like it was a mix between Star Tours and Mission Space. DFB even said despite them saying it was super interactive, most of what you did didn't *really* seem to affect the ride outcome. Not what we were hoping to hear! :/ But we'll see, we have a weekend full of people who will blog about it.

I think that's putting it a bit harshly. The reviews I've read have been saying it's fun, though not the best thing since sliced bread. It's similar to Star Tours but not as rough. But the overall "package" of SW:GE is fantastic.

Not sure how else you would compare it. It certainly isn't like anything specifically. Its a new experience.

I have been watching some live streams this morning and the crowds look very manageable. The walkways seem pretty empty. They may have been to conservative with their reservation limits.

Not as rough as star tours? Geez I think star tours is not rough at all and not very exciting. I’ll probably hate this thing then lol.

My first reaction when they even announced this ride was “ well this is basically gonna be star tours in a new ship “

I`ve read some positive reviews of Smuggler`s Run, but it`s pretty clear that ROTR will be the real E Ticket.

Based on the disneyland app wait times and what I've seen on Twitter it seems that they are treating this as somewhat of a soft opening. Apparently they are letting in 2000 guests per 4 hour block. That is nowhere near full capacity. Looks like this is a month long test to make sure everything is working smoothly. I think June 24th will be the busiest day until ROTR opens. At least I'm hoping so because I'll be there June 8th.

Yep. Both are considered E’s by Disney but Rise will be the cream of the crop.
