IT'S OFFICIAL!!!****OCTOBER 2014****...ROLL CALL!! Join the party!

Woohoo! Work schedule is finally set! Mostly. We get to check in October 31! Almost November, but still an October date so I'm sticking with this thread! Can't wait for our five nights! Virtual planning until the discounts come out.

Want to go for my son's 11th birthday 10/18-10/25. When are the discounts usually released for this timeframe?

Looks like I may have to "cheat" on this thread and join either March, April or May 2015 thread too! Last night DFi asks if I am set on Jamaica for our "babymoon" and I said I don't really care where I go then, just excited for another vacation. I asked where he was thinking instead of Jamaica and he said "I don't know..maybe Disney again?"

HE'S HOOKED!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Aww that is awesome! So envious! DBF and I were talking and while we want to go to Hawaii in 2016(not sure if Aulani will make the itinerary) he said he wants to do all inclusive before that...no mention of Disney :sad1: BUT I'm still hoping if we make this trip super awesome amazing that could sway him. :goodvibes

We are all set for WDW October 15 to 18th. One day at each park and two nights of Halloween Parties! We will be stopping by Sea World and Universal too. Just a quick trip this time. Seven days - seven parks!

We are booked in at the AoA hopefully in a Cars suite. The only ADR's we have right now are at the 50's Café and Sci Fi for the 15th. I could not get BOG for any of our four days. Hoping to get a fastpass for lunch if they are done their testing phase by October and have rolled out fastpasses for restaurants by then. Fingers crossed!

Put me down for October 25th to November 1st! Here comes another Halloween nut ready for costumes and birthday celebrations!

Fingers crossed that you have an awesome trip. Honestly, I think the Lego store in DTD is enough to make my DFi return. Toss in a meatball sub from Pop,the Transformers ride at Universal and ToT in DHS, and that is his perfect vacation haha

Celebrating DS 21st birthday at F&W. Staying at Bonnet Creek (our favorite now) October 11-18.

I'm hoping if I ply him with awesome food(jalapeno cheese pretzels!) and a more relaxed schedule this trip he'll be more eager to go back. Lots of TOT as well might help!

This will be my family's 2nd trip to the World and our 1st Trip for MNSSHP! We're all set and booked for POR October 4th- October 11th.

This is our first mnsshp trying to decide if Halloween night for the party will be too crowded and if we should choose a different night..we ate going 10/26 leaving 11/1..any thoughts??

Finally booked the trip. We are staying a day longer than anticipated. Oct 27-Nov1. We are staying at Caribbean Beach Resort.

I was online at exactly 6:00 am and got all of the ADR's I wanted including Be Our Guest! Now the wait begins for booking Food & Wine Festival special events and seminars.

Where can I find the special events info?

I have revamped my plans again and ADRs, still watching for a 2 ADRs I couldnt get and trying to avoid making more. I am second guessing myself terribly this trip.

I just checked and tried to make an ADR for BOG, as the CM told me I could start booking on April 22. Well that date was greyed out and it took me a couple of minutes to realize today is not the 22. Duh. Double duh to me because I should know its the 21st because today is my birthday. We have a stat holiday so I am off work and doing some Disney planning this morning (DFi is working). Bad point of today? I now have to start saying I am "in my thirties"...I totally milked the year of being 30 because I insisted I was not technically IN my 30's yet, I was just barely at 30.

Anyway, guess I can make my BOG tomorrow. Anyone know how long it usually takes to eat dinner there? Just wondering if I am better off with a late dinner near park close? I don't want to waste alot of precious park time in the restaurant, esp. if the reservation system works as I understand it, which is that you get the next available table after your reservation time. basically, I am wondering if I get a 5:00 reservation am I potentially there till 8 or 8:30?

Can't help with the questions, but wanted to wish you a :bday:party:My birthday is Friday (which is where the 425 part of my screen name comes from). :goodvibes

The Food & Wine special events are usually released in early August. Lat year, information on the wine tasting events, cooking demos, and other special events were only released several days before you could begin to make reservations. Compouding past issues of obtaining reservations, last year DVC members, Disney Visa cardholders, and annual passholders were able to make reservations a day before the general public. Many of the popular events were already sold out by the time general reservations could be made for the events.

A good website to watch for Epcot Food and Wine fest info is www.disneyfoodblog.com.

Thank you! And a Happy Early Birthday to you!

More general questions for everyone. I am trying to determine best time to go between March and May 2015, so I looked at the results from March/April this year, historical crowds etc. Anyway it says our time at Disney last year (May 8-10 park days) was crowd levels of 2 and 3. We hit RD or EMH each morning and used old FP, and never waited standby longer than 20 minutes for everything, and usually stuff was walk on or less then ten minutes. Looks like the only time we will get that next year is in mid April, otherwise we are looking at levels of 4-6. My question is what will a 6 feel like compared to a 2?
