Do not paint Governor Palin as the Enemy of Women - she is not - she may be yours, in your head, but you do not speak for all women. Moreover, I think we, as a country, are well past the days when birth control would/could be outlawed.

John McCain is unable to lift his arms to shoulder level BECAUSE THEY WERE BROKEN REPEATEDLY while he was a prisoner of war and being tortured in Vietnam. He was badly injured initially when his plane was shot down and RECEIVED NO MEDICAL ATTENTION from his captors. Then his broken limbs were REBROKEN. His awkward stance and inability to throw his arms around someone and hug them is A RESULT OF TORTURE.

Actually she is not "very against" personal rights. She is pro-life, but she has been very supportive of gay rights in Alaska - not gay marriage, but gay rights which is more than I can actually say for BO. Heck, he even refused to have his piture taken with a staunch gay supporter and asked a gay bashing nutcase preacher to share the stage with him at his rallies.

So - you are against capital punishment of a culpable adult who has been proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and sufficient aggravators have been proven to outweigh mitigators beyond a reasonable doubt -- yet - you think it's fine to kill innocent babies. Please explain.

I know what you were saying and have repeatedly said about Palin - AGAIN -your assessment may apply to you but do not consign other women to your belief.

Finally - yes - I honestly believe that birth control options will never be outlawed. Honestly - I don't believe that abortion will be outlawed either -- it takes years and years to get the perfect case in the perfect posture to get the case before the SCOTUS -- who knows - by then everything could change.

If you are so comfortable with McCains choice for VP, how do you feel she is qualified?

His first, important decision he had to make as the Rep. nominee was to pick his VP. He did not choose the most experienced, someone who could step in and take over the helm.

His choice was obvious pandering. Because of that I think he is using her to gain the undecided womens vote. But, I believe most people will realize her inexperience, and choose not to be taken in by it.

First off, I have not read all the posts nor am I very much into politics!


As much as I would have loved to see a woman in the White House, I feel somewhat uneasy about McCain's choice. Call it my gut impression but I think it made me a Obama/Biden voter. I guess I will have to wait and try to learn more about this woman and her achievements beside having 5 children and being a 'hockey mom' and a member of the PTA etc. Right now I just don't think she has enough experience to possibly lead our country should McCain have to step down for whatever reason.

He put his arms around her, not over her shoulders. My point, badly stated, was there was no genuine warmth between them. When Biden was introduced by Obama you could tell that they liked each other and could work well together. I just didn't get that vibe today.

The homes that the McCain's own are mostly financial investments that are made by Cindy. John said that he didn't know how many they own, because it probably changes a lot as she buys and sells new ones. She is in charge of that aspect of their finances, and he is more than happy to allow her to do it.
So what's Obama's excuse? Does Michelle run the common knowledge aspect of that family. Maybe he should have said ask Michelle, she probably knows how many states there are, and besides, that's above my pay grade.

I am fascinated by that as well. I had no idea there was any possible selection that JM could make that would cause so many on the left to 'lose it' so fast. I note that this is true not just for the DIS CB, but for the whole political universe.
