Nice how you ignored most of the article - especially the part how he voted less "in line" the preceding years - the 95% was for 2007-- however- the point is -- saying that McCain votes republican the majority of the time is a "DUH" statement. See how Obama votes democrat the majority of the time as well? Well, duh.
But -- let us not gloss over the fact that in 2007, OBAMA voted 40% of the time with Bush.
Actually, I quoted from your website verbatim. John McCain opposed Bush 23% of the time for a high and recently opposed Bush 5% of the time.
Do the math: Obama voted against Bush 60% of the time while John McCain voted against Bush 5% of the time. At his most "maverick" self, John McCain opposed Bush 23% of the time.
Again, your point?
Well, I guess I am going to have to start looking to move, cause Obama has no shot to win now.
I know all the Dis Dems on here are "satisfied" with his choice but I don't truly feel that he just gave the election to Mccain. I am not going to even to bother to vote, I am so disenchanted with this election. He should have chosen Hillary and he would have won this election hands down!
I do not know who Biden is and I think that is part of the issue why he won't win and Mccain will win.
So as they say love it or leave it. Canada here I come.![]()

Now I KNOW you listen to Rush, lol!!! Turn off the radio.![]()

This whole notion of "I have to become a citizen of another country if my guy doesn't win, " is astonishing to me. I really don't like Obama's politics, or his questioanble connections to people like Wright and Ayers, but I would never leave America over it. Sometimes our party is in power sometimes its not. Either way, I think the United States is wonderful.
Unfortunately, given the current media climate, only people who's over-inflated sense of self-importance overwhelms their sense of self-preservation and their love for their friends and family.Who'd want to be a politician, eh?
Why would it be a surprise that Obama voted against Bush 60% of the time in 2007 - when his campaign was underway?
My point was made -- you clearly excerpted an Obama talking point to pin McCain as being the same as Bush. The figure was from 2007. Moreover, if it isn't obvious that a republican is going to vote republican most of the time and that a democrat is going to vote democrat most of the time - well - there's no point in going on, is there?
It's a lovely country, but bear in mind that there is a 2 year waiting list in Canada for US citizens without a confirmed job offer (with a job offer its closer to a few weeks or less). With a good immigration attorney, the costs related to your expatriation will be in the $2k range for yourself, more if you have a spouse and/or children.Well, I guess I am going to have to start looking to move, cause Obama has no shot to win now.

No your point, assuming it was to prove that McCain isn't a Bush clone, has not been made. It's been reinforced via the your own link.
The point still stands: John McCain at his "maverick" best only voted against Bush 23% of the time and voted against Bush 5% of the time in 2007. Those are the facts no matter how you wish to spin them.
In anyone's book, voting with someone 77% - 95% of the time is NOT opposing them. Unless you've got evidence to dispute those numbers, my point stands: McCain is a Bush clone and is welded to Bush via his own votes.
See what happens when you assume?![]()
My point is for the, is it the third time, that a republican will vote republican the majority of the time and a democrat will vote democrat most of the time. To state the "95%" talking point ad nauseum is "devisive" as all politicians tow the party line. Just as it would be to state that Obama has voted nearly 100% democrat during his brief tenure as a US senator.
I think this horse is dead.

Fine, and Barack Obama is nothing but a party-towing, nearly 100% of the time, typical Washington politician.![]()

But don't you think that the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA should also think the country he wants to lead is wonderful as well? Don't you think he should be proud of his country.....don't you think the FIRST LADY should be proud of her country? Oh wait.......I do believe she said she "can FINALLY be proud" of this country. What the @*#$?!?!?!

Cool. I have a friend that was thinking of moving to Jersey only he heard it was full. I'll let him know to keep an eye on the election as there may be an opening come November.
