It's Obama/Biden!

Three words: Hannity and Colmes.:scared1:

Seriously, Have you listened to Rush Limbaugh lately? He makes Jerimiah Wright sound like a preschooler when it comes to hate mongering. Turn off the radio and walk away. Obama did it.

The PP, never said anything about listening to Rush.

You can't compare a conservative who doesn't listen to Rush, to BO, who attened, was married and had his children Baptised in a church that was run by a Hateful, racist pastor.

And who, is decribed in his own book, as his "mentor". Obama was without a religion before going to Trinity Church, but the best way to establish "street cred" as a community organizer, and ultimately the politician that aspired to be, was through the church community in Chicago. Black liberation theology was also a philosophy that was consistant with his other socialist beliefs. He was quite at home at Trinity.

It seems likely to me that no matter which VP Obama chose, he'd still get bashed for it.

Now I KNOW you listen to Rush, lol!!! Turn off the radio. ;)

Are we sure the conservative 'doesn't listen to Rush?'

Yes, Wright is a racist and pretty much crazy and Obama apparently called him a mentor although I personally haven't read that. Guess what!? My oldest and dearest friend is a bigoted, racist but I love her. It's possible to embrace the good in people and to throw out the bad. Her daughters come to me for help when her beliefs get in their way and she loves my son-comes to his games, takes him out for lunch. She'll be voting for McCain. We're all in this together and we must take what we need from every relationship. I think I learned that in church. Funny huh?

Rmoney hammered mcCain on policy, not ability. That's what the Dems attacked Obama for. If McCain was in lock-step with Bush, he would have voted 100 percent in support of Bush-pushed legislation.

He has butted heads with GWB on many things, including the way that the war was being run. He urged the president to increase troop levels long before he actually did. That wise approach has resulted in cutting deaths among civilians and military by over 75 percent. The same surge that Obama did not support -- voted against and said it would be a disaster. Guess all that experience that Obama has is paying off...

McCain has been labeled a maverick long before he ran for president, thus the names of the major legislation he has sponsored -- McCain-Gore, McCain Kennedy, McCain Feingold, et al.

Of course, the only legislation that Obama has passed was to rename a post office and send $52 million American taxpayer dollars to Africa. He also managed to pass resolutions congratulating the White Sox for winning the World Series.

He's not a Bush Republican -- just a Republican.

Better than being a BLF Democrat with no experience and can't speak in public without a teleprompter. Even his "extemporaneous" remarks are from a teleprompter with bullet point talking points.

I love how Obama says that determining when life is worth being protected is above his pay grade. He's right -- he's not ready to lead if doesn't know why people use birth control or when to put on a condom. Life usually starts soon after. If you've been to 5th grade sex ed class in the US. Oops that right Obama was in a Muslim school in Indonesia in the 5th grade so he missed it.

So, ahhh, McCain voted with Bush only 95% of the time instead of 100% of the time. That's makes all the difference in the world between being a Bush clone and a maverick? This should be an interesting sell. ;)

First off, you are the one who brought up Rush in the PP. I am a conservative and I never listen to Rush.

The difference between wright and your friend, is that Wright was his mentor, his person who brought him to Christ. How could he bring him to Christ while spewing such vile hatred? Would Jesus spew the same hatred?

How much of the time do democrats vote with deomocratic presidents. Most of the time.

If both senators and presidents are either both conservative or liberal, they are going to pretty much vote together mostly all of the time, because of their belief system.

so of course Bush and McCain are going to have close beliefs on legislations because they are both republicans. However, they have disagreed on alot more than most.

I guess its ok to say that BO has the same Voting record as Jimmy Carter?

I bet Jesus wouldn't have spewed half the crap coming out of the religious right either. Just saying ................

McCain, OTOH, has no problem with it and even made peace with Falwell after Falwell blamed 9/11 on ............ gasp .................. America.

McCain has denounced Falwell.

Falwell was never McCains pastor, never married him and never baptised is children. You may not think so, but there is a big difference. BO wrote all sorts of things about Wright also in his book. Which I believe was written after he heard a sermon from Rev. Wright.

and,..I rather listen to the "crap" coming from the religious right, then the "crap" coming from the Non-Religious left.

OK, a couple of things about this whole Wright situation:

- Obama claimes that Wright was his mentor. According to Webster:

Main Entry:
1men·tor Listen to the pronunciation of 1mentor
Pronunciation:
\ˈmen-ˌtȯr, -tər\
Function:
noun
Etymology:
Latin, from Greek Mentōr
Date:
1616

1capitalized : a friend of Odysseus entrusted with the education of Odysseus' son Telemachus
2 a: a trusted counselor or guide

OK, so we're not talking about just a good friend or associate (as many here would like to believe). We're talking about a guide, a counselor, someone who taught him things, someone he went to for help in making decisions.

- Some people say that perhaps Obama never realized what Wright was teaching. Yet these same people would have us believe that Obama is a very intelligent man. Doesn't sound too smart to me if he can't pick up what this clown was selling for so long. Either he is smart, and he chose to listen, or he's as dumb as a door knob - you're choice.

- Others say that Wright hasn't been teaching this garbage the whole time, but only RECENTLY started speaking like this. Sure, he waited until BO was in the spot light to suddenly start spewing racist garbage just to help out his good buddy. Sorry, but he's too good at spewing garbage not to have been practicing it for a long time.

- Well, Obama left the church after this happened. Sure he did, kicking and screaming the whole way. He left only because he had to. To stay was political suicide. It also took him quite a while to officially distance himself from his former mentor.

- Well, McCain knows so-and-so. Knowing somebody, and calling somebody you're mentor are 2 entirely different things.

In your post you said that you have a friend who is a bigot. I trust that this friend of yours isn't your mentor. In fact you say that she comes to you for advice - not the other way around. I have some friends too who are bigots (mostly democrats by the way), I can talk to them about lots of different things, but I sure don't go to them for guidance.

You also said that in church you were taught that we're all in this together, and to take what you need from a relationship. Good. A church SHOULD be teaching things like that - NOT to hate others because of their skin, like BO's church was teaching.

McCain has denounced Falwell.

Did you miss this:

McCain denounced Falwell before he embraced him. :lmao:

Of course, it's different. Must be tough watching a good talking end up only being talked about by those who wouldn't vote for Obama anyway. :lmao:

and,..I rather listen to the "crap" coming from the religious right, then the "crap" coming from the Non-Religious left.

Actually, you may not be aware of this, but there is also a religious left.

Then there's this wonderful sermon:

Geez, looks like Jesus was a leftist liberal. :goodvibes

Well, I guess I am going to have to start looking to move, cause Obama has no shot to win now.

I know all the Dis Dems on here are "satisfied" with his choice but I don't truly feel that he just gave the election to Mccain. I am not going to even to bother to vote, I am so disenchanted with this election. He should have chosen Hillary and he would have won this election hands down!

I do not know who Biden is and I think that is part of the issue why he won't win and Mccain will win.

So as they say love it or leave it. Canada here I come.:sad1: :sad2: :worried:

Alot of us - are pleased with his choice. ;)

Not a very strong talking point -- once you see the whole story.

From your linked website:

However, McCain's support of President Bush's position has been as low as 77 percent (in 2005),

So to sum up, McCain has indeed voted to support the unpopular Bush 95 percent of the time most recently, but less so in earlier years. And Obama has voted pretty close to 100 percent in line with fellow Democrats during his brief Senate career.

Your point? ;)

New McCain talking point: He's the maverick who opposed Bush somewhere between 23% (at the most) AND 5% (recently).

Go for it.

Ok! now we have a good, solid ticket!!! It's gonna hurt the Senate when these two are elected. Biden was my 2nd choice. I'm happy!
You've got to be kidding!! Biden!! A loose cannon, just what OBAMA needs!! Great for all the republicans !!! Go MCCAIN!! :cool1: :cool1:

From your linked website:

Your point? ;)

Nice how you ignored most of the article - especially the part how he voted less "in line" the preceding years - the 95% was for 2007-- however- the point is -- saying that McCain votes republican the majority of the time is a "DUH" statement. See how Obama votes democrat the majority of the time as well? Well, duh. But -- let us not gloss over the fact that in 2007, OBAMA voted 40% of the time with Bush. ;)
