It's Obama/Biden!

Well, I guess I am going to have to start looking to move, cause Obama has no shot to win now.

I know all the Dis Dems on here are "satisfied" with his choice but I don't truly feel that he just gave the election to Mccain. I am not going to even to bother to vote, I am so disenchanted with this election. He should have chosen Hillary and he would have won this election hands down!

I do not know who Biden is and I think that is part of the issue why he won't win and Mccain will win.

So as they say love it or leave it. Canada here I come.

He's been a presidential candidate three times and has been in the Senate for over 30 years. He's been on SNL, Daily Show, Colbert Report, Jay Leno, The View, Letterman, Bill Maher, Meet the Press and on and on and on several times. Don't get sad, get energized!!! I remember a day when the VP was not announced until after the Presidential nominee was fully nominated and no one ever knew who the heck the VP guy was. Biden is well known and it will be ok.

OK, a couple of things about this whole Wright situation:

OK, so we're not talking about just a good friend or associate (as many here would like to believe). We're talking about a guide, a counselor, someone who taught him things, someone he went to for help in making decisions.

- Some people say that perhaps Obama never realized what Wright was teaching. Yet these same people would have us believe that Obama is a very intelligent man. Doesn't sound too smart to me if he can't pick up what this clown was selling for so long. Either he is smart, and he chose to listen, or he's as dumb as a door knob - you're choice.

- Others say that Wright hasn't been teaching this garbage the whole time, but only RECENTLY started speaking like this. Sure, he waited until BO was in the spot light to suddenly start spewing racist garbage just to help out his good buddy. Sorry, but he's too good at spewing garbage not to have been practicing it for a long time.

- Well, Obama left the church after this happened. Sure he did, kicking and screaming the whole way. He left only because he had to. To stay was political suicide. It also took him quite a while to officially distance himself from his former mentor.

- Well, McCain knows so-and-so. Knowing somebody, and calling somebody you're mentor are 2 entirely different things.

In your post you said that you have a friend who is a bigot. I trust that this friend of yours isn't your mentor. In fact you say that she comes to you for advice - not the other way around. I have some friends too who are bigots (mostly democrats by the way), I can talk to them about lots of different things, but I sure don't go to them for guidance.

You also said that in church you were taught that we're all in this together, and to take what you need from a relationship. Good. A church SHOULD be teaching things like that - NOT to hate others because of their skin, like BO's church was teaching.

Actually guys, my friend mentors me in some areas. She has incredible taste in decorating and is a marvelous cook! When I need help with these areas of my life, I call her instead of my mother, lol! I also look to her because she is such a wonderful friend. She's always there if someone needs her, almost to a fault. She has a huge heart and can not say no to anyone. I have to watch that I am as good a friend to her as she is to me because I see lots of people using her. She was also an incredible parent. Her children were not spoiled but did not need. She allowed me, invited me to be in her daughter's lives and she made sure they knew they were loved at all times when they were growing up. SO; I believe it is possible to take what you need from people and leave what you don't need or want behind, without hatred. What can I say? My knowledge and faith in God has taught me these things I call morals. I am also very tolerant because that is the way I see my God, tolerant, understanding, loving and forgiving. Would I have stayed at the church in Chicago as long as the Obamas? Their friends were there, they enjoyed the fellowship, perhaps the sermons were a bit entertaining but believe me, I've had some crazy pastors! Did I abandon the church because of them. No, I'm not one of those people who church hops. I am confortable with my religious beliefs and no pastor can shake that foundation for me. Why is that so hard to understand?

If I didn't know who Joe Biden was, the only thing I would get from this description is he's a three-time loser that likes to appear on TV shows a lot.

I'm sure there are lots of folks that the only thing they know and care about Biden is that his last name is (D).

There is an enormous difference between a pastor who is "entertaining" or a little crazy, and a racist hate monger. Also, (I'm guessing) you aren't interested in being the leader of an entire country as Obama is. He will be representing all of us, and the fact that he has a racist hate mongering mentor/close family friend should be of concern to everyone.

Did your friend "bring you to cooking?"

Did your friend cater your wedding?

Did your friend cook for your children's baptismal reception?

Obama was spiritually mentored,had his children baptized by, and refused to distance himself from this man. Wright grew his church on BLF teachings. That's what he teaches, that's what he preaches, and that is who he is. Obama only "dumped" him when the political fire got too hot.

Are I guess you must be comfortable enough in your cooking beliefs for another chef to come in convert you to Cajun...

I believe this pretty much loses Obama the election for sure.

Biden has a big mouth and says alot of stupid things that offend people, like he has done already.

Also, he has said on TV that if he was to lose to John McCain in the election he knows he lost to a good person, who is his friend and has the skills to be a good president.

Lastly, I believe not chosing Hillary is a huge mistake. I am no supporter of Obama at all(as seen in my sig), however I can tell you that without clinton, he is going to lose.

I wasn't quite sure what to think about Biden. So I came here, found this thread and read this post. And now I don't have any doubt whatsoever. Obama is a shoe in.

Biden speaks his mind. Maybe he's the guy who's hijacked the "Straight Talk Express". If Biden wants Obama to be president, shouldn't he be forced to give back the "Straight Talk Express"

The NoBama crowd is "shocked" and "appalled" and "perplexed" that a politician can actually have respect for a political opponent. Do you mean to tell me that Biden has some integrity? Will the American people stand for integrity? Good thing John McCain never said anything like that and shown some political integrity of his own. (Oops)

So far the NoBama crowd is telling us that someone who has integrity is riding around in McCain's
Straight Talk Express". And since that person is not McCain, McCain is going to win. So is the "Straight Talk Express" like one of those bait cars the police are using to catch car thieves? McCain just left it out in the hopes some unsuspecting Democrat would drive off in it.

Lets look at complaint number three about Biden.

The NoBama crowd has cleverly deduced that Biden is not Clinton. I think that realization should really be put into conversational context:

Republican Bob: When NoBama (the word NoBama is alway followed by spit-takes and knee slaps) chooses Hillary, we're going to slaughter them.
Republican Ted: He has no idea what's going to happen to him.
Republican Bob: But what if Nobama sees through our foolproof plan and chooses someone else?
Republican Ted: Easy. Instead of attacking NoBama's VP choice for being Hillary, we will attack his VP choice for not being Hillary.

Like I said, this pretty much shows Obama has it wrapped up. About the only thing that can stop Obama now is if McCain start's showing integrity, get the "Straight Talk Express" back and picks Hillary Clinton for his VP choice.

Even though I don't agree with most of what Obama proposes, I just can't imagine allowing a politician, or anyone for that matter, having such influence over me that I would feel compelled to want to leave my country. Maybe you are just feeling frustrated and expressing your emotions this way, but try to keep things in perspective.
