It's Obama/Biden!

OK, now this is just getting too creepy

Obama Bi(nla)den.

I don't think they could have planned it better if they tried. :rotfl:

It has been mentioned but not in detail. Maybe it falls in the same category as McCain cheating on his first wife, or his involvement in the Keating 5. Everyone makes mistakes, which ones are the most important are left up to the voter.

I don't believe the PP was asking anything about McCain. She was asking if any teachers who support Obama, can still support him after hearing about Biden and what he had done.

I guess most of you are too young to remember when Biden tried to get elected the first time. He was caught plagiarizing. It's barely mentioned now and I believe no one on this thread even mentioned it.

Is that no longer important? To me, that emphasizes his morals: None.

How many of you Obama supporters are teachers? Can any of you still support him? What do you tell your students? That it's ok for a VP, but not a student?

Oh my God, Biden forgot to use quotes. Forget the war, the economy, the forclosure ............... it's the punctuation.

You can't make this stuff up.

Here's what you tell your students: People make mistakes. To use a mistake of over 20 years ago as some sort of moral barometer is dumb if the person has apparently learned from that mistake.

And plagiarism isn't murder or like throwing your first wife on the junk heap because she wasn't the swimsuit model you left behind because she was disfigured due to a horrific car accident. Please, bring on the moral issues.

So it is ok for one guy to make a mistake 20 years ago, and he should be forgiven, but not for the other guy

As you so often say, you can't make this stuff up.

Best line of the day, a guy on the TV just said it proves that Obama needs adult supervision.

Actually I think this was a very smart move by Obama's people. Think about it, now they have a built in excuse for when they lose. I can hear it now "If he had chosen Hillary, then the Dems would have won."

And actually, this puts Hillary in a pretty good spot. If by some miracle Everybody looks past all of BO's faults and the fact that he doesn't stand for anything except "change", and he wins, then Hillary can say that she knew he was going to win, and that is why she "let" him have the nomination. If (and when) he loses, Hillary can step in and say "See, I told you so", and try to run with that for the next election. So even if BO had asked her to be his running mate, I doubt that she would have accepted, when the alternative is just too good for her.

I don't think we will really know why she wasn't picked for VP. I certainly would have welcomed it. But no, I don't think you can overcome the inexplicable hate of Hillary by many conservatives.

This go around it seems that the republicans were the only ones defending HRC. I don't know what's more disturbing 1. that her own party chomped her up and then spit her up in favor a new guy, or 2. that I, actually, feel compelled to defend her.

IDK, I think both things are equally disturbing.

better than needing depends and a nursing home..like Mccain........

That statement is not suprising coming from a liberal supporter.

You should hope when you are John McCain's age, that you look and act alot younger then your age.

Watching Obama and Biden

Can we say Doom and Gloom Democrats?:sad2:

Historically, VP picks don't decide an election.
The key word there is "historically". When was the last time someone this old, and this far from his party's base, and from the party of the incumbent with such a low job-approval rating, been the party's nominee?

McCain's pick is irrelevant.
If that were true, I wouldn't have written what I wrote.

Surely, you jest
No, I don't jest. I think you're wrong. You think I'm wrong. That's not necessarily surprising. It's called disagreement. It is one of the main reasons we have elections in the first place. :teacher:

Clearly ego (and baggage) got in the way of forming that ticket - on the part of one, but possibly both of them.
Ego is a requirement of the job: No one without an over-inflated ego would put themselves and their family and friends through the invasive idiocy of a Presidential campaign.

On this I agree completely.

.

Well I guess you disagree with me and the majority of Americans and many many political observers. We don't have elections to decide the partisanship of media outlets. -- Or did I miss something in the Constitution?

You're obviously watching with the sound off...

I watched with the sound on -- Biden did a good job -- Obama not so much. Biden should be at the top of the ticket - he's going to end up taking control of the campaign.
