Morning, we had a lovely lie in this morning not getting up till 8.15 as we are staying onsite today. It is currently 9.25 am and we are still in our room, DS17 has just got up and the oldest is still asleep but it doesnt matter because the lines will not be a problem. How relaxing is that?

Only in America, just been on the news that every year on todays date, people moon at the Amtrek train. Apparently several years ago a man in a bar offered someone money to moon at the train and that is where the tradition started. They even have a song .My bum gets a tingle as I hear the train chingle, beep beep. then they drop their pants. Weird.

I forgot my pedometer yesterday so am adding a rough 10 miles to the total walked, I think we walked more because we didnt really stop yesterday, so total now 35 miles.

It looks overcast this morning but the heat will be there once we are outside. I am going to get the eldest up now, cya.

have a nice day

We had a relaxing time in the room, not leaving it till well after 10 am but we didnt care because we knew the lines would not be a problem. It was a pleasant change not having to rush out.

Islands saw us having a leisurely cruise on Popeyeś Bilge Boat Rapids, unfortunately, Bluto kept trying to capsize our boat - 3 times he tried. He tried the hardness when fellow passengers all donned coats.

We had just escaped Bluto when we were called into help Dudley Do Right. He let us down by directing us down a 60 ft waterfall - but we survived. I think this was because he had fitted safety restraints so we didnt fly out of our seats.

We had just got our breath back when we were forced down a 85 ft waterfall by an angry Trex. We hadnt done a thing to it!

A minute or two later we were scouped away by a blue dragon, who soared us up into the clouds. It was like being on a rollercoaster as we twisted and turned upside down. It dropped us right by the doors of the Mythos Restaurant.

This was really handy as it was lunchtime. :) Again the restaurant didnt let us down. Both me and DH had Chicken a la Oscar (chicken, crab, mashed potatoes and veg), DS19 had BBQ steak sandwich and DS17 Pastabilities, noodles, pasta and vegetables. For dessert, we had shot glasses with cheesecake, chocolate and key lime fillings. Needless to say everything was delicious. It has won award for being the best theme park restaurant in the world several times.

We had just left the restaurant when we were approached by a man dressed in a black cloak, hooded and wearing an iron mask. He showed us some nice comfortable seats to rest our legs. They were not that comfortable and suddenly harnesses came down and trapped us. Next we heard an evil crackle and suddenly we were hurdling 200 ft up into the air. I left my seat behind for a few seconds. We did manage to escape him when we returned to earth but he recaptured us twice more before picking on some other innocent passerbys.

We grabbed a nearby scoup car heading for New Year. We especially wanted to see the Statue of Liberty but some evil villains were destroying it. Some how our little scoup car had been caught up in a fight between good and evil. Fortunately, Spidie was on hand to save us and we got to see parts of the Statue.

Again we were approached by the cloaked man, he grabbed the kids and tried to send them to the moon. Luckily we escaped only to find ourselves on a lime green train that rocketed into the sky. It had a new fuel called gamma which they had introduced due to the rise in gas prices. It hasnt been tested that well so the train shot out of the tunnel like a rocket, twisting, diving and soaring before finding its brakes and releasing us. We nearly hadnt caught it because I had just sat in it and put my safety belt on when the engineers rushed over (well really walked but it sounds more dramatic) and told me my seat was broken. Glad they did, wouldnt have fancied travelling with no harness.

We spent a few minutes afterwards smiling at DH as he went back to the wrong locker block to retrieve my bag. I had the number written down on my hand so we didnt forget it, which has been known.

We didnt have any further mishaps as we made our way back to the hotel. A quick stop off at the room before finding some loungers by the pool. DH, DS19 and DS17 dipped into the pool. Music and games were on.

I was joined by a group that had decided to play volleyball. Luckily I didnt get hit and, fortunately, lightening was in the area. The pool closed and we relocated closer to the pool and ordered a couple of smoothies and that is where I am now, sitting by the pool in the heat, the sun hiding behind the clouds for a while.

They were fun games for the kids and adults pretending to play guitars by the pool which made the whole place lively. It did have a little shower but nothing heavy and as soon as DS17 got sick we went back up to the room to change. I think we are going back to Universal shortly.

A couple of notes about lengths of rides in normal lines for those interested.

1050 am Spiderman 40 minutes
Popeye 5, 10 and 10 minutes
1130 am Dudley Do Right 45 minutes
1205 pm River Adventure 20 minutes
2 pm The Hulk 30 minutes

On behalf of the citizens of Orlando, we apologize for all the afternoon rain and hope that you're enjoying your visit nonetheless. It's that time of the year!

Thanks Bob.:goodvibes I would rather be here even if it rained all day though I prefer the sunshine. The thing about your rain, is it doesnt come with the cold temperature we are used to so it isnt unpleasant.

Anyway this is how we finished today.

Hi, after having a bit of time up in the room, blogging we went out to Universal Studios. Here we got involved with a real twister, that left us needing some food.

Chilli dogs for DH and DS19. Me and DS17 just shared a tray of French fries as we sat watching people go on the Jaws ride. The French fries are really nice from this takeaway shop.

Afterwards we dodged Jaws, lasered aliens and joined Homer Simpson on a ride round a theme park. As we were going on this ride you could see lightening in the distance. when we came out the heavens had opened and we were in one hum dinger of a t storm. We hung around the exit for a while but had to move, we dodged through a nearby shop, restaurant before legging it over to the Starbucks shop. We had a coffee by then the rain had started to ease off a bit.

We went on the Mummy ride which was really good and then left the park. The lads walked on ahead because we had to make a stop off. They really enjoy doing things by themselves every now and then. We headed back to the hotel. DS19 grabbed my computer, DH and DS17 soon crashed out and I waited for DS19 to finish on the computer so I could do this, then go to sleep.

Till tomorrow, bye.

Excellent day-like the bit about using Gamma-because of the rise in gas prices  .I have'nt heard you mention any eating of churros or sipping frozen lemonade-which i love doing walking round the parks-ohh i can taste them now-oh well only 8months to wait :sad2: .x.

Their messy room. I promised a hotel room photo and this is the only one I have found so far without us in (kids and Hubbie shy) so excuse the mess. Squitty has posted some excellent room pictures on the hotel pictures thread which ours was the same decor but didn't have settee.

Brill pictures again. I LOVE Green Eggs and Ham and it is hardly ever open when we are there
