She did. That's why she was finally able to let go. Her daughter told her that her ex-husband cried when he heard about what happened to her. She also got the news that she was a great-grandmother. I think she needed the closure with her daughter as they had some issues as well. Once that was solved everything went downhill, but she held out until she could resolve those issues.

I am so sorry to hear you news, Alison. You and Fran gave her the precious gift of your friendship (priceless) and I know the love you gave her meant the world to her. Your flying the daughter to her bedside was what Arline needed in order to be at peace. She is in our prayers today, as are you, Fran, and her loved ones.

I can tell that from experience it touches your heart, my grandmother whom I love very much and we never had "issues" but she waited until I got there, I was a couple of hours away, and she stayed with me and talked to me and sometime in the night when we were both asleep she passed, with me lying right there next to her. It is one of my treasured moments.

I am so glad she got the closure that she wanted.
