It's never too early....WHO'S GOING DURING 12/04???

Our trip has been moved up. Good because we'll get there sooner but we will miss out on the Christmas decorations,MVMCP, ect.. Maybe next time:D !
Please remove me from the list.

My very 1st post!

My wife and I will be at WDW starting 12/4! We'll be staying at the Vistana Resort (timeshare). Can I ask a couple of questions? I'm not tuned into all of the Diney Jargon yet.

What is MVMCP?

Can you please give me a quick run down on the LeCellier Candlelight Processional?

Also - What else would you recommned for a couple to do/see during their December Disney trip?

Thanks all.

Mike

WELCOME MHELY (aka Mike)!!!

MVMCP is short for "Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party." It is an after-hours party that requires special admission tickets and it is well worth the funds.
Here is a link that explains it fully:

With the Candelight Processional, the event is free with admission to EPCOT, but if you reserve a dinner package with a select restaurant, you are guaranteed a seat. I'm trying LeCellier for the first time this year because I've heard so many rave reviews on it. Here is more info on that:

Hi delswife!

Your trip report actually made me come out of lurk mode. My crew will be there from Dec 18-27th. So far, we are 10 and counting!

So, no SIL????:p :p :p

That is so cool! Glad your posting. It's much more fun.
We will have to meet someplace. And NO SIL!

tink2~ We will be in the MK on the 8th. Thats the on;y thing I know for sure so far. I'm excited to be there when you are too!

:teeth: We're going from Nov. 29 - Dec. 9! It will be myself, ds, dh, and my MIL (who is thankfully NOTHING like Delswife's SIL ;) ). Does anyone know when MVMCP tickets will go on sale?

delswife/Robin - be sure to post your itinerary somewhere so we can all watch for you! Unfortunately, on the 8th, my clan is doing Discovery Cove.

But I have to have to see your crew in action sometime, somewhere in the World!

Yes delswife!

We will have to meet up someplace! I just can't wait for December!!!

I want my Son-in-law to do the Petty rookie experience. I would not have known about it if not for you and growinupdisney! They should give you two a commission!

This trip is going to break the bank!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :wave2:

Can you guys help me out? Which 10 days would you pick?
From Dec 1-10 or Dec 10-20? taking Crowds, deals etc. into account.

This will be my first time the first week of December, but I did go the second week last year.
The crowds were wonderful, pretty non-existent. I'm thinking it will be the same for the first week.
Both weeks fall under the same season as far as deals. They should both have the same AP rates and such. We stayed at ASMu last time for $49 per night!

I'm going to be there with my wife and 9yo girl and 22 month old girl. We'll be at ASMo Dec 4 - 12. Any ideas on what parks to hit on what days? We are planning on 5 days of Disney and two days to Universal. We've never seen Universal and the new Mummy ride looks fun.

Since December seems to be so slow, try to hit parks on their early entry days. I usually avoid EE like the plague, but since the crowds aren't bad to begin with, you can get a lot knocked out by noon. But I would still stay away from MK on a weekend, and maybe even skip MGM on its early entry on Saturday since MGM can get crowded also. I do have to say though, AK is much less crowded than the other parks on the weekend.
Best bet is to have a rough idea based on EE, then finalize it when you see what events/parades are going on on what nights. Last December, Spectro wasn't every night, so we had to adjust accordingly.

Wow, Zurgswife, GREAT list!!! You can add DH and me too! Dates are Dec. 10-19 at SOG. I will be solo for the first half until DH finishes school, then he will meet me.

Any talk of a mini meet yet? There are sooooo many DISERS that are going to be there at the same time! It would be so cool to meet a few people. I just love being part of this great family!

Isn't the official Dis meet usually the first week of December?
I've already warned my dbf that he will lose me at least one day to my fellow "Disney dorks" if that is the case. lol!

December is starting to look exciting. We are still planning on Dec.5-10. Also considering arriving a few days early or leave a couple days late to check out Universial - we have never been.

This is an awesome thread!!

kaseyC,
Looks like we will be at SSR at the same time! I'll be there Dec. 5-8, then moving on to WL. I can't wait to check out the new resort. From what I read, the pool area alone seems awesome!

I'm trying....again..

It will be me, my grown DD, and my granddaughter, who will be 6 in September..

Hoping to arrive Nov. 27th and depart Dec. 5th..

If all goes well and I get our house sold before then you can BET we'll be there - and maybe for even longer!!

We plan on doing MVMCP, 1 day at Sea World, and 1 day at IOA..

Keep your fingers crossed for us to make it this year - last year was a total disaster!

Oh - forgot to mention - I already have Pal Mickey for my granddaughter.. (Shhhhhhh..she doesn't know anything about him...;) )

My Mom, my daughter and I will be in WDW 12/4 - 12/8 and then 12/9 - 12/12 we will be taking the Disney cruise. First time my mom and I have taken a cruise. We're always way too excited for our WDW vacations and now with the cruise too, there's no living with us. My daughter took the Disney cruise last September and got engaged.

We've got a 3 bedroom house with a pool reserved and I just went and bought our hopper passes today. I'm ready!
