So. I FINALLY wired my games station up properly and everything should be working A-OK.

Problem the first. My monitor has given up the ghost. A noodle scratcher.

Solution: My brother had a spare monitor. It works. Sweet! That was good of him :)

Problem the second: The computer with all my ROM games on it (Dreamcast, N64 and Gamecube) doesn't recognise my joypads. Need to get two more. D'oh!

Problem the third: Booted up my modified Xbox and indeed, it has 404 games pre-loaded on it. Works fine... but I can't find the controllers! D'oh! Of the three problems this should be the easiest to solve - just go on a massive hunt through my electronics boxes.

Mission the first: Xbox controllers. I MUST have some somewhere!

Mission the second - wire up the Dreamcast properly. Should be able to (I broke the connection in the wiring process)

Mission the third - new controllers for the PC. That will have to wait (money)

One ray of sunshine - my Dreamcast now WORKS! The graphics are a little more jagged than I'd expected, but messing about a bit with the mClassic should fix that... but that's a job for tomorrow to find out :)

OK, this is a noodle scratcher... my MacBook Pro, that I've had for years, appears to run the SAME emulation software as the PC, faster, and more reliably. AND it accepts the controllers. I may be looking to sell the dratted PC on now, barely a month after I bought it, albeit at a premium now it's pre-loaded with games...

Sorry to vent my frustrations so publicly here on the Community Board, I just need to shout from a cliff, if you see what I mean...
