Also wanted to ask your opinion on splitting the tips ? His does everyone do this
We're going with mil & fil on the DDP staying separate villas on OKW
tables are booked for 7 of us thought we would be better splitting the tip between us can this be done using magic band or is there an easier way ?

As you are in separate villas you will be on 2 DDPs therefore you will need 2 checks.

It's really easy for them to do - just tell your server when you first order who is on which check - they will bring them and you can each pay your tip however you want

They will bring separate checks automatically if you are in seperate rooms. They will add your portion of the tip automatically too since you are more than 6.

Then the other villa just 2 adults

Do you think we will we have to pay the higher tip rate?

As you are a party of 7 they will automatically add the 18% gratuity to your checks even though you will be getting 2 checks.

18% is the standard amount usually reduced for poor service however most times we tip at least 20% especially when we get good service

If you do get poor service and you don't want to pay the 18% please speak to a manager - they will reduce it for you if you explain the issue. TBH we have never had too (we use TIW card which adds an 18% gratuity too)

As Elise said it will automatically go on at 18%, which isn't a higher rate IMO. I always tip at 20% unless I get poor service. I think I have called for a manager and tipped low once in a decade of eating at Disney restaurants.
