Its my 1000th post and....

my wife still does not get it. Am I alone? I was all excited to post for my 1000th time and she made fun of me. It was well natured, but she does not get my excitement for this park and board. I dont see us going for a while and I am using the boards to try and get through the next 2 or 3 years. I guess I just wanted to know that I am not the only person who's spouse just does not understand.

Nope . . . not alone. Hubby does not like WDW either - but unlike you, I don't let it stop me. I go with others. Heck, I even bought at DVC knowing he would only come once in a while!

Live it up. Life is short. Do what makes you happy. Go with someone who gets it - just not another woman.

I don't call my DH Grumpy for nothin'. He doesn't enjoy Disney, doesn't get the boards and really doesn't get my upcoming solo trip BUT he is supportive in my going so I have to give him props for that.

The boards are great because you are surrounded by people who DO get it and LOVE it as much as you do!

My DW gets it, but not near to the extent that I do. Our #2 son and his family have agreed to come and join us next year in October, for our trip to WDW. As a result, I've already started making plans for when to call MS for our rooms at BWV, figuring out when to puchase their tickets, seeing what places they want to eat at, etc... She just shakes her head when I get in this mode, but always enjoys the end results while at Disney.

My DH doesn't get the Disboards at all.

He does go to WDW with us and puts up with it but it's sure not his favorite type of vacation.

I know he'll be glad I've been on the boards after our short Sept. trip when we still get to do alot because of all the hints and tips I picked up on the boards.

I appreciate all of the support. My wife does enjoy Disney and has had a great time the last three years as we have gone, however as I mentioned will not go every year. I would love to be able to go without her as many have mentioned, but that would mean cutting our family vacation up because we cant afford to do both, so I guess I am going to have to compromize for a bit, but it sure does hurt. Oh well, marriage is all about compromize. Again, thanks for the understanding.
