Count me as one of the Dis-Newbies, and one whose husband sort of chortles as I report my Dis-coveries.

Usually his response: We knew that/I knew that/We would have found that out/Do we really need to know that?

My reply: Well...if I had read the boards before our April trip, we would have known about Lightening McQueen being out of town

Funnily enough, my husband was more of a WDW fan than I was, both as a kid growing up and right up until we took our toddlers in April.

"was" being the operative word in that sentence

I was so excited when I made my 100th post. I can't imagine how I will feel when I get to 1000.

As for my DH, he is amused by my addiction. Once we get to WDW, he appreciates all I have learned and how smoothly our trips go.

My DH doesn't get it either, probably never will. But, at least he's stopped looking at me like I'm nuts when I talk about planning our next trip which will not be until the end of 2009 or beginning of 2010. At least, he doesn't give me those looks while I'm paying attention, lol.

congratulations on your 1000!!!! i just had mine the other day. luckily, i married a disney lover just like me! his whole office is disney! he loves that i'm a disser cause i've learned so much! he counts down the days on his calendar @ work till the next trip only 17 more days now. he said the other day, " i knew it had been awhile since we've been to wdw", (8 months ago) i'm very lucky, he's so much fun! yeah, i haven't encountered not going to wdw for that long, so stay on these boards and we will keep you going!!

Congrats!! That's a lot of posting!! I am almost at 400 and I am very excited! it does sort of fly by, doesn't it?!

My hubby has come to really enjoy the mouse! Not as obsessively as me, but 2 of us may be a bit much--especially since I have 3 miniatures in training!!

HAPPY 1K!!!!!!!!!!!

My DH loves that I am on the DIS boards - I have an outlet for my endless DIS talk!!! He also enjoys the "DIS-coveries" (great word SAVVY!) that I come up with. But he doesn't like that I found out the filet at KONA is gone! (Love that FOOD PORN) - Maybe TOO much INFO?

DH doesn't understand posting things on boards since he is just not into computers that much!

Anyway ... we both enjoy WDW but I get to enjoy hearing about other's adventures and plan for our own while DH is just not as interested in that. Sometimes one person is just not as into WDW as another.

my wife still does not get it. Am I alone? I was all excited to post for my 1000th time and she made fun of me. It was well natured, but she does not get my excitement for this park and board. I dont see us going for a while and I am using the boards to try and get through the next 2 or 3 years. I guess I just wanted to know that I am not the only person who's spouse just does not understand.

I think I am divorced because I did not marry a disney lover! Just kidding, but he really did not see the 'point' of the parks! I think he was from another planet! The boys and I LOVE it! So now I am on my own and can plan any Disney vacation I want without hearing, "We're going to Disney, again?" I understand you, just be thankful your wife is good natured about it.
