It's kind of fun to do the impossible - Disney with a 1 month old *new 2/13/15*

Hard to believe Emma is 3 months old already! She is beautiful!

I know it is just your normal life, but I feel like traveling with 3 little ones to Disney should be commended. It seems like you guys were really able to make it work with everyone getting to experience some of what they wanted to.

I have spent 3 days at Epcot this month (2 for my girls trip to F&W and the 3rd on a day trip this past weekend) and your pictures are making me want to go back right now! I just love World Showcase!

Aw I love the photo of Emma now at 3 months! So cute.

LOL On the "what's that" from Olivia regarding the spots on the screen - too funny. I look forward to riding it with Aria, though I bet it will be the new film by then? We'll see. It definitely needs some refurbing. Funny about poor Peter falling asleep! How did you get out of there??

I'd have gone to the left for some amazing Margaritas but I'm sure Andrew would have enjoyed those beers with you guys. Sounds like fun, and the treats look great too. I did get myself a cone at the end of our October trip and the ice cream was fantastic, though I don't think i'd know how to eat that treat?!

My daughter loves your trip report, but says it's hard to switch to a mans voice in her head because most tr are written by women. :goodvibes

Happy 3 months Emma!! pixiedust:

I'm a little behind, but your pictures at sunshine seasons looks like you had a great meal! We went there on our trip for the first time and I loved it!

I love the picture of all the kids on the bench, so cute.

Woah! Whatever that ice cream thing is with words I don't know, LOOKS AMAZING. I am starving now. :rotfl:

Emma is so adorable, time sure is going fast!

Great update! The Croque Glacé sounds like its pretty delicious!

Happy three month birthday to Emma!!!

Patrick  that voice is just so majestic.

Yep, I'm ready for a Soarin' update. I hope they keep the music (which is actually my ringtone) but the quality of the film is lacking.

Emma's face in the picture with the three kids :rotfl:

I need to try those Croque Glaces. They look so good!

Great pics with Belle aka queen of everything!

Well I am late to the party but I'm joining up all the same. I applaud you for traveling with such a wee one; I remember the first four months of my daughter's life very vividly. She was nursed....and that's all I did. I nursed. And nursed. And nursed. If she fell asleep on me, I tried to sleep, too. She grew from mildly small at her birth weight to off the chart by age 3 months in height, weight, and head circumference. It was non-stop growth spurt, and I was WIPED. I'd never be so brave.

You have adorable wee ones, and I love that you take them to Disney to experience the full effect of the magic while they are little. <3 I'll try and catch up soon!

Thank you! I know, time definitely flies. In some ways it feels like she was just born and then in other ways it is hard to picture how life was without her

Well, I guess we just do what we have to do and figure out how to make it work and know everything won't be perfect. Either that or leave the kids behind (which we may do at some point :lmao:)

I know! I love walking around World Showcase so much. If we lived in the area I feel like I would be there all the time

Well, based on how quickly Disney is building the parking garage at DTD I think the new Soarin' movie should be ready for Aria to ride on with her daughter :rotfl2:

Oh don't worry - margaritas were coming up as well! Not sure if we did it right but we kinda just held the brioche and bit into them. They come in these like paper sleaves so you can hold that without getting too messy - but with the heat they started melting pretty fast.

haha - not quite sure how to react to that :lmao: I think the guys that do write TR should have a club or something to provide moral support for each other :rotfl2:

Thank you Lauren! We did have a nice meal there. I wasn't totally sure what to expect (other than the strawberry shortcake) especially thinking that we would get there for breakfast - but glad I remembered the positive reviews for the fish tacos and the food the kids got was good too!

So basically what the ice cream thing is is a brioche bun that they put a scoop of ice cream in, sauce of your choice and put it in something that kinda looks like a waffle iron to seal it

This is taken from Disney Food Blog as I didn't get a good picture of the inside of ours, but this is roughly what our pistachio with raspberry sauce one looked like on the inside (just ours was more melted):

Thank you! It really is - she really has a little personality now ... and she even rolled over for the first time last night!

The Croque Glacé really was good - I mean, sweet bread, good ice cream and fresh sauces, what's not to love :confused3

Thank you Courtney - I will pass that along to her :thumbsup2

Love Patrick - he will make a strong presence in the trip video I am putting together (I swear I am still working on it)

I am very excited for the update to Soarin' ... the concept is so great and immersive so just thinking if they take all the learned from making it originally and adding in new technology, etc. and it could be really awesome!

Since like day 1 Emma has always made great faces - so often has that "woah, what's goin' on here?" look

Definitely think you would enjoy the Croque Glacé - love that it is so customized and not just a few set favors - and that they make it right in front of you!

Belle is definitely one of our favorites - though our absolute favorite will be coming up next update :thumbsup2

:welcome: thanks for joining!

Wow, sounds like quite the experience! Emma is in like the 80th percentile for height but only int he 40s for weight ... she is definitely growing and she definitely loves to nurse - we just found there are a lots of attractions you can nurse a baby on :lmao:

Wow, Emma is 3 months old!! I remember I started reading your PTR after seeing from your siggy that you had a 1 day old! That picture of her is so adorable.

Where has that Croque Glace been all my life?? Looks amazing!!

Glad that Olivia enjoyed it and very excited for the update that Soarin' is going to be getting. Do you know if it's happening to both parks simultaneously?

OT side note: Wow, Olivia's neck is super flexible in that picture of the 3 kids. I tried doing that and it's uncomfortable. Don't know why I felt the need to say that, but i'll just leave that here.

Mmm, both beers look tasty.

I can't watch that guy in France for long..he makes me so nervous!

I can not WAIT to visit the new ice cream place! Hoping it won't be too cold when we visit.

Fun meet with Belle, too bad it was in the sun, especially for that long of time.

And to think when I first started the PTR we had to have Emma listed at TBD :rotfl: She does take some cute pictures if I say so myself :goodvibes

The Croque Glace was really good .... messy, but good!

I am very excited for the update. I am not sure the timing up it. I think the Shanghai Disney is getting the first update. Then I think EPCOT (though unclear if they are getting the same one Shanghai is or a different one) - but not totally sure

Judi has a condition where she has some hyperflexibility (basically joints allow for some extra movement - so if she holds her arm out straight it will actually go a bit beyond straight). Olivia seems to have gotten that from her - so that is probably driving what the heck is going on with her neck :rotfl2:

Love, love that the level of beer quality is improving across Disney World ... I mean, still a lot of room to go, but getting there. They were both pretty good -though I definitely preferred mine :thumbsup2

I agree with you about the performer in France ... I just feel like with how many hundreds of shows he has done he has to of fallen at least one, right?

I bet you will ove the L'Artisan de Glaces - it wa really good!

Definitely a nice meet with Belle. And at least the meet itself was in the shade - just the waiting line was in the sun

Ahhhhh so your one of those guys that recites pre-shows to the "enjoyment" of everyone. :p

Yeah, even if there's no one in line, Soarin' is a pretty good time commitment.

Haha, glad you were able to find the time to get a photo documenting "travelling with kids".

Aww nice of you to take over on line waiting duties there Phil. I did find it interesting that someone who worked there for a year was trying to do all the stuff not done, and one of those things was meeting Belle? In a year? In the park where you presumably work? Interesting.

You know, in that last pic, Belle actually looks a little "cartoony"... in a good way. Very authentic.

Ok, I need to try those brioche ice cream dealies! Sounds amazing.

And to echo everyone else, Emma is so cute! Olivia and Peter are completely adorable, too!

I'm sweating just looking at your photos!

That's funny that Olivia pointed out all the spots on the Soarin' screen. A little detailed oriented there.

Does the ice cream melt quickly between the warm brioche and the weather? At any rate, it looks delicious.

Emma is 3 months! I wonder if she already has a favorite WDW ride. You have to wonder at night in her little baby dreams if she dreams of train whistles, Monorail conductors, and large pantomiming friendly characters.

Anyhoo, those fancy ice cream sandwiches look great, though I do bet they get messy! Love the shot with your three little ones. Felt exhausted just looking at that.

So, I'm sure I could look this up, but I'm feeling lazy and uninformed, so: what are the details of the (rumored) plans for Soarin'? :confused3

Wow, I didn't notice until seeing the comments, but Olivia really does have a flexible neck!

Man, I often feel like I don't have enough hands with one kid around - I don't know how you do it with three! :worship: That picture does seem to sum it up well, though. :thumbsup2

Mmmm, I had (most of) one of those Croque Glaces on my last trip. Great treat and I never would have known about it without the DIS (and I had an ice cream martini with it). Yum!!

Yum! I love Sunshine Seasons!
Hehehe I have a German friend who would be very proud of me if I hit Deutsche on SE and practised a little!

So I got to lug it through the roughly 32.7 miles* that is the queue and we split up into two clams - myself with Emma in one and Olivia and Peter with their mom in another
:rotfl2: That queue is soooo long!

Mickey also asked everyone to keep quiet as Emma was sleeping:

pw06_2ca_udpu1.gif
Awww, that's so cute!

Wow! Emma is getting so big! Look at her, what a cutie.
Yeah, the film on Soarin' really needs to be cleaned up. I still love the ride though.
Those Croque Glace look amazing. On my list for next trip!

Well, I prefer to think of it as making everyone's vacation more magical ;) I do try to not impact others too much but in this case I was mostly trying to get Olivia more excited/less nervous about the ride and others happened to hear

You are right Rob that Soarin' does take some time to get through b/w the relatively long walk, then the wait to get in the pre-show area, then lining up and watching the Patrick video, getting into the theater and settled, then the actual ride, then walking out.

Yeah, a bit like National Geographic showing the us in our natural habitat while we wait for the matriarch of the clan to return from the hunt (for adventure!)

Yeah, from talking to them I definitely got the sense that they didn't get to spend as much time in the parks as they would have liked - whether that was due to them not being able to/allowed or just time went to fast for them and they missed out ... seemed like they were trying to take in what they could. I think they were trying to see one of the fireworks that night which they had never seen yet either (I think the Frozen ones) and they had only seen Wishes like once or something. Was a tad puzzling to me

I totally get what you are saying - that Belle definitely looked like she came straight out of the movie - made for some good pics :thumbsup2

Ok, I need to try those brioche ice cream dealies! Sounds amazing.

The brioche ice creams were sooooo good - definitely give them a try! Just be aware of the heat and the melting factor ;)

Thank you! Obviously I am biased but I think we have some cute kids :goodvibes

That's funny that Olivia pointed out all the spots on the Soarin' screen. A little detailed oriented there.

Does the ice cream melt quickly between the warm brioche and the weather? At any rate, it looks delicious.

Yeah, it was pretty hot - especially in the sun just waiting in line for characters to come out - which we did twice ... so the "hot" look increases in future updates. Fortunately we did find some beverages to help us out a bit ;)

Well, I think some of the spots have gotten pretty noticable at this time and I think she was just trying to take it all in so she was just asking about a lot of things.

So the ice cream melted a bit from the heat but not so much from the warm brioche. The machine seems to mostly heat the edges to melt them together. So the bulk of it doesn't get that warm and they are in the machines so briefly that the heat doesn't really get to the ice cream. For at least our first few bites the ice cream was definitely totally solid - it was just the heat from the sun that started melting it.

Love the picture of all three kids waiting on the bench outside Soarin'. A true depiction of family vacations.:rotfl2:

Your snacks/treats throughout the WS all look delicious. And probably the smartest choices for combating that awful August heat. That stinks that the Belle M & G line wasn't in the shade. But, thinking about it, I guess there aren't tons of shaded spots available in the WS, and the one nearest was probably reserved for the princess herself. :confused3 Still, I think it's great that you all stuck it out and got that character interaction. I know adults complain a lot about the heat, so I can't imagine two kids handled it well. (Even at 1, Landon gets cranky if he starts sweating.)
