It's kind of fun to do the impossible - Disney with a 1 month old *new 2/13/15*

I'm in!

Major props to you and your wife for bringing a one month old to Disney World! Considering your adventures thus far, I think you were incredibly successful!

(I must also comment about your Bibbidi Bobbodi Bodega - I love it! Olivia looks great!) :goodvibes

Wow, Phil! I've been busy away from Disboards for a little while, and sure was fun getting caught up! So many great photos and moments, that I don't have enough time to comment on everything that stood out to me... But I did enjoy your review of Sana! We've never tried it before and it looks great! (Boma is one of our most favorite restaurants in all of WDW, so it will be hard to visit AK lodge and not eat there, so maybe we'll have to do both on our next visit!) And I wish that I had not read your review of O'hana right before lunch, I agree about being able to fill up on just those pot stickers alone, and now my sack lunch at work just isn't going to be satisfying. :rotfl2: Love the Anna & Elsa photos too! :thumbsup2

Thanks for catching up Matt ... I think you all would love Sanaa - and if you have to go to AKL twice that is the burden you will have to deal with ;)

'Ohana potstickers for lunch would be great! Thanks! Think the A&E photos came out well ... was glad the PP Photographers took so many

It's nice to read a good report on CRT - I was beginning to wonder why anyone went there haha!

Love the DIY princess makeover - I can't talk DS into Pirates League so I'll be trying a DIY pirate makeover before our pirate and pal's fireworks cruise!

I was very happy with our CRT experience - definitely a meal I was worried about b/c ... I mean, that is quite a bit of $ to pay for a meal you are unhappy about

There ya go! An eye patch, maybe paint on a fake beard .... bring along a parrot, you know, nothing too big ;)

Okay, Peter glued to Anna is about the most precious thing ever. :lovestruc

Definitely worth the pain of getting!

Thank you! He was just so start struck it was really cute! Usually I love all the planning for Disney but the FP+ making was not the greatest for me so I was glad it was worth it in the end :goodvibes

So glad the A&E meet was worth the FP struggles. You got some great family shots!

Enjoyed your mine train gifs as well!

Yeah, definitely worth it ... though, as much as I love my kids, not sure if it would have been worth a 3 hour wait for A&E

Thank you! Figured I had to include something to prove I actually rode it :rotfl2:

I'm all misty-eyed over here, Phil! Between the adorable pictures of the kids on Prince Charming's carousel and the gifs of the Mine Train (I also loved the throwback to Snow White's Scary Adventures!) but most of all the kids with Anna and Elsa. That picture of Peter hugging Anna is just melting me! So so so adorable! And of course, tiny Emma's first meet and greets, so cute. What a great time with the Frozen girls!

Aw, glad you enjoyed them! (well, I am assuming it was good tears not angry tears). It really was a great morning and just immersion into Disney and Fantasyland ... and just why we keep coming back!

Haha Olivia's reaction to the Barnstormer is spot on! :rotfl2:

And I love the series of pics of Peter while in line for Winnie the Pooh!

I'm so glad you didn't make us wait for the A&E update!! Lovely pictures and I'm glad it was so special for the kids!

Yeah, it is rather short ... good intro ride for kids though - not the best for adults.

Thanks - thought it was funny as I was going through my pictures ... that was a tough couple of minutes

That would have been a bit of a tease ... definitely a special time - though, I must say, after the trip Olivia says the Mine Train was her favorite thing (generally adds meeting A&E too though)

Yeah, I can totally see the appeal of the carousel with kids.

Aww how nice of you to watch Aria (well Judi) so that Lauren could enjoy the ride.

I agree in the use (or re-use) of the old ride. As for the whole ride itself for me, I'll just say I'm glad I had a FP.

I agree with Olivia... Barnstormer should go around twice, at a minimum.

Awww how nice of you to document your wife having to discipline your son for something that was your fault. ;)

Oprah... Uma... Anna... Ema... Bahaha, Nice!

Congratulations on meeting the Frozen Crew. It is a tough FP to get for sure. I'm with Peter as well. Having seen them often on that last trip, I am decidedly in the Anna camp.

Well, my kids love carousels in general so to get to go on one in the middle of Fantasyland really floats their boat.

I was glad we were able to work it out so Lauren could go on the ride!

I really liked the Mine Train and think they did a great job ... but it really needed about 30% more length and one more dark ride part to be a true "E ticket" attraction. I am sure I would have waited a bit to go on it once, but definitely not sure if it is worth a 60 minute wait or anything like that.

I agree that Barnstormer should go around twice ... though not sure if Peter feels the same way :lmao:

Eh, pretty used to Judi having to fix my mistakes at this point ;)

I can see why Peter likes Anna - he tends to leap before he looks (literally and figuratively quite often) and she has that whole cute/goofy thing going on

:welcome: Thanks for joining Jenny!

Thank you - definitely took some planning and me having to show some flexibility but things went smoother than I thought and way smoother than I feared.

Thank you! Fun to make her over and just get her all excited before we even leave the room :goodvibes

Totally get it now. I was trying to figure it out in my head and it looked nothing like this :rotfl2:

I agree about the pool area. Could do some major upgrading to make it better.

I love the Lapu Lapu! And potstickers. Perfect combination

Aw, Peter is so cute getting the noodles. Little man.

That steak looks so delicious!

Your meal day sounds like our day, every day, back in 2010. We did 9 days of the Deluxe Dining - quick service breakfast, TS lunch, Signature Dinner....:faint: So. much. food.

I totally LOL'ed at your explanation of DIS meets:rotfl2: And it's basically right on. Once you've got that first meet done, the other ones come so easy.

Great idea about having your own BBB right in your hotel room. Can't even imagine how much they charge there:eek:

The walk is super easy to the MK! I was very happy to have this as an option.

Aw such a fun photoshoot with Alex. I'll be on the lookout for him, definitely!

Such a fun experience at the Royal Table! I haven't been there yet, but would love to someday...preferably my daughter (if that ever happens!:rolleyes1). I've heard mixed things too but so happy that it was wonderful for you guys!

Yep, we too, recently fell in love with the Carousel at Disneyland. Lots of fun and even more magical at night.

I'm afraid that's going to happen with DS and the Barnstormer too. But we shall see.

Love the M&G's with Anna and Elsa. Olivia looks sooo happy meeting Elsa!:cloud9:

I completely get what you mean about the carousel. I never even gave it a second look before I had a kid. Now, though, there's something magical about seeing them riding on one of the horses.

Aw, Peter looks so smitten over Anna. That's a great pic of the two of them, as is the one of Elsa testing out Olivia's snow powers. Super sweet.

I did wonder about them separating the two characters, but after reading how each of your kids (not including the little one, of course. Although I don't know if she was super sure of Elsa:rotfl2:) had their favorite and got equal times with each, I can see how it was a smart idea.

I love the fact that littles adore the carousel. My nephews are exactly the same. We walk in "what do you want to do?" THE CAROUSEL!

The cottage scene is one of my favorite things at the Mine Train too. Such a great way to reuse the old items.

Hahaha, I just had to laugh at Peter's upset face, because that's what my nephew does. He sticks his chin straight up in the air. It cracks me up every time.

Peter's hand on Anna during the meet and greet is totally adorable.

Oprah, Uma. Oh the memories.

I'm so glad that the meet and greet went well.

Phil, I'm trying to catch up a little here and there.

I haven't gotten anywhere near it in my TR (obviously since I've not even gotten to a park yet), but I love going on the carrousel too. It is just delightful to watch the kids faces light up at how much they enjoy it.

I'm glad you enjoyed the Mine Train. My only complaint would be that it's a tad too short.

I'm sorry Peter didn't end up liking Barnstormer; too funny Olivia asked if that was it.

I remember reading your PTR and your hassle with the FP+ for Anna and Elsa. I'm so glad it worked out and that Olivia and Peter enjoyed their time with them. You can see Peter's "crush" on Anna. Great pictures with both of them and I love the family shots too. These pictures made my day after a rough one.

I’d agree on the carousel too – and I’m sure it will get to be even more fun as Izzy gets older. But she lights up when she sees one. It was only a eh-we-have-time-and-there’s-no-line before her.

Glad Olivia wanted to ride the Mine Train with you! Haha, I apparently live under a rock because I’ve been on the Mine Train multiple times and Snow White’s ride many times in the past, but didn’t realize that parts of it were re-used there! Anyway, glad Olivia liked it. I agree, it could be longer, but I wasn’t expecting too much because of the small piece of real estate in New Fantasyland.

Aw, that’s too bad that Olivia couldn’t go with on the Barnstormer the first time. Never considered that before – it would be hard to have two small-ish kids and only one riding adult. Huh, guess Peter’s not a coaster guy (yet).

So sweet that Peter is such a big fan of Anna. Izzy used to only talk about Anna until I got her the set of Anna and Elsa toddler dolls from Target – now she’s all “Elsa Elsa Elsa!” I’m glad your FP+ troubles were worthwhile. So cute that Peter “claimed” Anna and wouldn’t let go of her. Sounds like Elsa liked your kids better than mine. :rotfl: Ours was rather “cold” – but at least that’s what her character should be. (Side note, Izzy hit a button on the remote tonight that turned our TV screen to snow and we told her Elsa was making it snow – she was happy to watch it!:rotfl2:)

Well, Peter and Aria both had to get close to Minnie, of course! Mandatory toddler rule! ::yes::

DD absolutely loves riding the carousel!! I've got a new appreciation for them as well! :thumbsup2

What a wonderful meet with Anna and Elsa! The kids look absolutely enchanted!!

LOVE, LOVE the pictures of the A and E meet and I am so glad that worked so well for you.... I can't wait for my boys to meet them in the spring!

Really love the pic of Peter all snuggled up to her. <3

Totally get it now. I was trying to figure it out in my head and it looked nothing like this :rotfl2:

Glad we got it straightened out in your head then ;) Wishing now I had taken a better picture of when we had all three kids in it. Obviously only works when one of the kids is still in an infant carrier but was a big help for us this trip :thumbsup2

I agree about the pool area. Could do some major upgrading to make it better.

I love the Lapu Lapu! And potstickers. Perfect combination

Aw, Peter is so cute getting the noodles. Little man.

That steak looks so delicious!

The pool definitely wasn't bad - I love the shape of it and the sprayers. Just didn't "wow" me like some other pools at Disney resorts do

Yes - a meal of Lapu Lapus and potstickers (with bread pudding for dessert) would be pretty darn perfect :goodvibes

Kid loves to eat! it is fun to see him get bigger and be able to take more food himself.

The steak (and pork) was really good!

Your meal day sounds like our day, every day, back in 2010. We did 9 days of the Deluxe Dining - quick service breakfast, TS lunch, Signature Dinner....:faint: So. much. food.

Wow - that Deluxe Dining is a ton of food ... I could see doing it for a short trip or if you were doing like a split stay for part of a trip, but for a full week seems like way too much and you would just start getting sick of eating and resenting having "another" meal to get too

Reminds me of the week we spend in New Orleans which was great but by the end of the week I had to cry uncle and throw in the towel ... just too. much. food. (and drinks of course ;) )

I totally LOL'ed at your explanation of DIS meets:rotfl2: And it's basically right on. Once you've got that first meet done, the other ones come so easy.

Just kinda funny how it can be looked at. I think the fact that Judi came with me to the DISMeet in Hershey, PA and even met Leah who followed my trip reports, etc. there

Great idea about having your own BBB right in your hotel room. Can't even imagine how much they charge there:eek:

Just checked and the cheapest option is $54.95 - and that is just hair and makeup and a sash. If you want a costume included it is $194.95

The walk is super easy to the MK! I was very happy to have this as an option.

Aw such a fun photoshoot with Alex. I'll be on the lookout for him, definitely!

Especially with the adjusted monorail service having the walk as an option was great! Definitely keep an eye our for Alex ... I bet he and your husband would have some fun doing some wacky shots :rotfl:

Such a fun experience at the Royal Table! I haven't been there yet, but would love to someday...preferably my daughter (if that ever happens!:rolleyes1). I've heard mixed things too but so happy that it was wonderful for you guys!

I definitely think it is worth doing at least once to experience eating in the castle and from what i have read breakfast seems to be the most consistent - plus you can get into the park early.

Hopefully you will have a daughter someday, but even if not I bet your son could charm the princesses quite a bit! :thumbsup2

Good point about the carousel at night! Good luck with the Barnstormer!

Olivia was totally in her glory! She was so excited to meet them!

Obviously "Magical" is a word that gets thrown out a lot at Disney, but it is a great term for riding the carousel with kids and just seeing their eyes light up - and the placement right in the middle of Fantasyland is so perfect :goodvibes

Peter is pretty smitten with Anna :rotfl: It was so cute seeing him interact with her - especially thinking how shy he was the previous trip with any of the characters. Both Anna and Elsa were great with all the kids and we definitely felt like we got a lot of time with each which was great.

Yeah, hopefully they will still have some opportunities to meet them together - like at MNSSHP or similar - just to experience that but after having done it now I am glad they separated them. Plus you don't have to see poor Aurora in the corner being left out and no one really caring about her :lmao:

I love the fact that littles adore the carousel. My nephews are exactly the same. We walk in "what do you want to do?" THE CAROUSEL!

Oprah, Uma. Oh the memories.

I'm so glad that the meet and greet went well.

The Carousel is a great one to do first too - really kinda sets the stage for the day and immerses you in Fantasyland!

Looking through the full video I took I noticed even more re-used things in the first part of the cottage, like the turtle and some other creatures that I didn't notice originally. Love when Disney does stuff like that!

Peter does that all the time and lets out this growly "wahhhhh!" noise ... I try not to laugh at him when he does it but some times it is hard.

Looking through all the pictures of the meet I noticed even more how he wouldn't lose contact with Anna - was really sweet.

Thanks! :thumbsup2

Thanks for commenting Kathy ... I know things have been a rough for you lately so I am really glad the picture brought a little sunshine to your day. Definitely continuing to pray for you and your family and friends!

Love watching the kids on the carousel! They just get so into it and I think Peter was loving getting to have his own horse and be a bit of a "big kid" on it.

Fully agree about the Mine Train ... it's like 75% of an awesome attraction.

I’d agree on the carousel too – and I’m sure it will get to be even more fun as Izzy gets older. But she lights up when she sees one. It was only a eh-we-have-time-and-there’s-no-line before her.

I think the carousel will mean even more to you when Izzy is a little bigger. It is almost a right of passage now as each kid gets big enough to ride it - and ride a horse on their own. Really noticed that with Peter this trip :goodvibes

Yes - in the cottage seen basically all of the characters are the actual figures that were used in the Snow White's Scary Adventure ride - so Snow White and the Dwarfs, etc. I believe the old hag/queen on the outside is new though

It was so funny though how upset Peter was that he didn't get to ride Expidition Everest or the Mine Train and then he finally gets on the Barnstormer and he is scared out of his mind on it :rotfl2:

So sweet that Peter is such a big fan of Anna. Izzy used to only talk about Anna until I got her the set of Anna and Elsa toddler dolls from Target – now she’s all “Elsa Elsa Elsa!” I’m glad your FP+ troubles were worthwhile. Well, Peter and Aria both had to get close to Minnie, of course! Mandatory toddler rule! ::yes::

Yeah, not sure if it is just because she is younger and a bit "sillier" that younger kids seem to gravitate towards Anna vs Elsa ... guess Izzy is officially a big kid now though if she has graduated to Elsa ;)

Well, I think it was more "oh look, there is something we can climb" as much as "let's get to Minnie" :lmao:

DD absolutely loves riding the carousel!! I've got a new appreciation for them as well! :thumbsup2

What a wonderful meet with Anna and Elsa! The kids look absolutely enchanted!!

Definitely cool to see rides like the Carousel through the eyes of your children ... something magical about it!

Both kids were loving the A&E meet so much - so glad that it worked out FP+ wise for us :thumbsup2

LOVE, LOVE the pictures of the A and E meet and I am so glad that worked so well for you.... I can't wait for my boys to meet them in the spring!

Really love the pic of Peter all snuggled up to her. <3

Thank you! We got a lot of good pics (and a bunch of not so good ones with people's eyes half closed, looking the wrong way, etc. :rotfl:) - was glad the PP Photographers took so many! I am sure your boys will love it!

I know what you mean about the new appreciation for the carousel. We always used to skip it, but now actually look forward to that one.

I bet next time Peter rides the Barnstormer it will be a completely different reaction! That is too funny that Olivia was even questioning the length of it.

I'm so glad that you're effort for the meet and greet was worth it. I can't get over how Peter had his arm around Anna - soooo cute.

Fully agree Sarah ... before kids not even sure if we rode the Carousel but now it is a must do and is very fun to experience it with them

I am sure Peter will grow into the Barnstormer and hopefully next trip he will be tall enough for the Mine Train as, with how smooth it is, I think it is easier than the Barnstormer

Definitely worth the effort and fun looking through all the pictures of Peter with his crush Anna ;)

I'm glad that Olivia liked 7DMT. All I'll say for now about our experience with it is that the seats are really small.

Aww poor Peter though. I mean, Barnstormer is a great first roller coaster to try out but I can get why it might be scary.

That girl is really giving the stink eye in the pictures.

Peter's love of Anna is adorable.

So is Olivia's face in just all the pictures with Elsa. Like, you can just tell how magical it was for them and it just makes me want to take my own kids (who aren't even like real yet) so much.

And very cute family pictures. Sounds like it really was worth all the hassle of the FP+.

Peter's expressions were cracking me up during these updates! Again, you are hitting all the hard to get things! A 7DMT FP and A&E?! Two castle ADRs in one day. You are like a WDW planning Jedi.

The Anna & Elsa pictures are wonderful and I'm glad you were able to get your FP time squared away. Can I just say I am glad I don't have young kids so I don't ever have to worry about that hassle, at least until I have grand kids which BETTER be years away. :rotfl2:

Loved the recap on the mine train. I am super excited to ride that in 8 days!!!!!! Woo Hoo! :cool1:
