It's Here!! We're Leaving for WDW!!! Travel Day!!

Here I am again dying to know what is going to happen next.... I sure hope that Lou gets better soon on this trip. It stinks to be sick at Disney!

C'mon Amy.... I am waiting :) Been a long 5-year old day :)

Wonder where Lisa is????????

Hey, Kelly! Long 5-year old days...spring fever...counting down til summer break...I'm right there with ya!

I think Lisa's there until the 28th, so she has a few more days yet...lucky duck!!

How're things with the house? You must be getting so anxious to have it finished!

Whew... two days of workshops and I mean LONG days. I will be glad to get back in my classroom tomorrow.

We went to see Mr. Al in concert with the kids on Tuesday and it was great. If you have never heard of him check him out at mralmusic.com. It was a wonderful show and we all enjoyed it so much.

The house is coming along nicely. I am ready to be out of the rental and in that house NOW. We are on top of each other and being so disorganized is wearing on me. BUT, the house looks great and I will try to find an updated picture for you.

Hope everyone has had a great week. I am so glad tomorrow is FRIDAY!!!

Maybe we'll get more trip report soon??????????

Hi, guys! Been busy at work and play...I love being outside in whatever spring weather comes our way! I'll try to post the next installment before the weekend is up, though!
Thinking of Lisa and hoping she makes it home safely and doesn't get the post-trip depression too badly! I can't wait to hear all about her fun in the sun!

Hello, hello! We are home! Sad to leave WDW, but, truly, happy to be home. Just popped in for a minute to say hi and that I will be back on Monday. We need tomorrow to SLEEP, do some laundry, reminisce about the trip, have a bit more "just the 4 of us" time, and maybe, just maybe, SLEEP!

DS9 has (or had) Influenza B, as diagnosed by a doc at Florida's Centra Care on Day 1 .... he did get better, but now seems to be starting up again. He is waiting for me now, so I need to go. We haven't had much sleep lately (coughing jags that do not want to respond to meds), so hoping and praying for good sleep back home in our own beds.

We did manage to have a lot of fun, just at a very different pace than originally planned. In some ways, it made us slow down and just enjoy the smaller things. DS9 was a real trooper and didn't complain once. Not sure if it is possible, but I think I love him even more now that I did 2 weeks ago.

I haven't had the chance to go back and read anything yet, but will soon.

We did have super weather!

Take care everyone and I'll check in again soon!
Lisa

I can't wait for another installment!!:cool1: I know what you mean about the spring weather, we've been trying to enjoy it as it comes.

Tracy

Amy: Waiting to hear more. Glad you have good weather outside. We do too and it has been fun. We went to Carowinds one day... an amusement park in Charlotte, NC. It is about 40 min. from our house. We have season passes. It is not Disney by any stretch, but fun.

Lisa: Glad you made it home safely. I am so sorry you ended up with a sick child too. Can't wait to hear all about your fun, though. We have been thinkning about you all week!

My DH has invited some good friends over for dinner at the GRIM RENTAL! OMG, what was he thinking??? At least they are good friends.

:)

Now, here's a backstory...for her first communion, we got Boo a cellphone...she's heading to Middle School next year and let's face it...Chief caved. So, she has flashed this Razor phone all over the place because she's sooooo excited to have it.

Lovin' your trip report.
What a coincidence! I have a 7th grade DD whose nickname (here at home only) is Boo, or Boo Bunny. She turned 13 in April and her daddy ALSO caved and got her a Razr for her b-day. DH said the young lady in the Alltel store nearly jumped for joy when she asked if she could help them and he said "we're looking for a phone for her birthday". She knew a sucker when she saw one!!! We did ours "prepaid", so she is mindful of using HER minutes.

Keep the report coming!

Melanie

Oh Lisa... Oh Amy..... where are you????

I am waiting to hear how your trips went and just how you guys are doing.

I drove to Atlanta on Friday to present a workshop. I love teaching adults once in a while. I get to go ALONE and stay in a hotel ALONE and order room service ALONE. Then I come back home to my family and am refreshed! :)

Hope you guys are doing well.

Wonder if Jaime is home?

Hello! I'm here! Just busy .... and to tell you the truth, with DS10 (was 9, turned 10 Thursday!) sick, we had a stinker of a vacation. :<( He did get a bit better, but with being sick and on meds, he was pretty much in a haze most of the time. Even sadder, now he doesn't remember much of the vacation! Ugh! Breaks my heart. I may write a short trip report, but I am not really in the spirit of it myself.

Yesterday, we had DS10's Cinco de Mayo birthday party with 16 children. DS is better now and had a great time! Crazy, but fun!

Last night it rained heavily here and we have water in our basement. So, after teaching Sunday School this a.m., we've been moving furniture, pulling carpet and shop-vaccing most of the day. Not fun! Forecast includes rain much of the week --- major bummer! Pray for sun and wind!

Busy week ahead. Cancelled garage sale due to water mess in our house, have funeral to coordinate for Tuesday (my turn at church), need to make 8 cakes tomorrow for funeral, it's Teacher Appreciation week (We LOVE you teachers!!) and it's wrap-up week for Literature Circle -- so I will be at school 2 full days this week finishing the books the students wrote/made. I think I need to add "professional volunteer to my SAHM-status job description!

I love Amy's Pollyanna game -- I usually have a Pollyanna-ish disposition -- so my mood as of late is uncharacteristic of me. In the spirit of Pollyanna, I realize that water in our basement could have been a whole lot worse -- especially if it had happened while we were away!

Kelly -- How is the grim rental? Did you have fun with your company -- despite the setting? Hope so! When is school out for you?

Amy -- I hope all is well with you. I'm sure you are just super busy with school. When do you get out?

According to DS12 and DS10 and their countdown, we have 15 days left of school.

According to me, we need to start a NEW countdown to another WDW trip -- since this once was so stinky. However, DH does not agree. I really need to work on this. As I've said previously, he seems to think we need to save $$ and plan for a vacation to Massachusetts to see his family. I must say, it would be a fun vacation -- but it isn't DISNEY!!

Better go wet/vac! Anyone want to help? Anyone, anyone????

Lisa: I can't believe you had a flood! I'm so sorry. Glad your DS is better. I know that birthday party was great. Your plans sounded so wonderful.

We get out of school in 22 days. NOT SOON ENOUGH! My assistant has been out for 6 days and WOW I miss her. These kids are nuts and there was a full moon..... I AM TIRED!

Last night my two oldest daughters were up sick and today they were home with Dad. My oldest was in the living room of the rental and someone tried to break in the front door!!!!! My DH is supposed to be leaving to go to a golf tournament tonight and I am worried sick about being here with the girls by myself. The owner of the house was just here and suggested we file a police report. I really wish we were in our new house in our nice safe neighborhood.

Both girls were negative for strep and the stomach stuff and gone away.

Hope you guys have had a good day.

Oh yeah, dinner was fine with the friends :)

Happy Mother's Day to all of the moms out there! I hope you are having a great day with your families.

Amy -- I hope all is well were you are. We miss you around here. I know you are busy with it being the end of the school year and all. Hoping you'll have a chance to pop in here sometime soon!

Kelly -- Hope you are having a good day with your children and DH and I hope everything in the new home is coming along well. Not too many traumas, I hope! Lucky you to have a WDW trip to look forward to!

Jaime - How was your trip???

My side of the family was here yesterday to celebrate Mother's Day and some birthdays (our boys, niece, nephew) and also for our WDW show and tell. :<) Fun to relive the best parts of the trip! Since DH doesn't care to go back to WDW, there is a chance (though it be small) that we may end up going back with my sister and niece. Just a pipe dream for now, but you never know.

The water in the basement saga continues. The carpet in our family room was dry -- however, the pad underneath was wet, so we ripped everything out on Thursday. Waiting to hear from insurance now. Half of our house (furniture anyway) is now in our garage. Guess that garage sale will have to wait --- hey, unless I SELL EVERYTHING that is out there and get new -- hmmmmm. Nah, I'd rather save $$ for another vacation!

Have a great day!

Sorry I haven't checked in with you guys since I've been back! I've been trying to force myself to stay off of other people's reports until mine is in swing and I've gotten through some of the TV I taped while I was gone! :happytv:

We had a great trip! And I can't wait to hear about more of yours...

Happy Belated Mother's Day to everyone.

Had a beautiful sunny, warm day yesterday.

House is coming along but I am ready now.

Hope everyone has a good Monday.

:)

Hi, guys! Sorry I've been away from the boards so long. Have gotten very busy with end of the year stuff at school and the girls' softball league is in full swing, so we have practices and/or games every night now.
Glad to hear everyone had a nice Mother's Day. I did, too...finally had a day to just enjoy the family all together...Chief took the day to do whatever we wanted (it was Lou's birthday that day, too...is it truly possible she's 8 already?!).
I will have a few days around Memorial Day (we have a four-day weekend from school), so hopefully I will be able to dust off the old travel journal and get the rest of the trip report up.
Thanks for hanging in there and know that I am thinking of you all!

Hi there. Just checking in to see if anyone is around anymore?

We have been collecting more Disney scrapbook stuff and will get going on that soon -- yeah, I know, I've said that before! I ordered a Disney Photo Pass video this week -- loaded with our photo pass photos as well as many of the photos we took personally. So, if it does take me 6 months to do the Disney scrapbook, that's okay -- we can still view the DVD. :<)

Amy -- how are things in your world? Hoping to read more TR sometime.

Kelly -- when is moving day? School out soon? I'm sure you are counting down to your vacation --how much longer now? I am SO jealous!!!

Hope all is well in where you are!

I'm still here.

Real Life does get in the way of trip reports sometimes, doesn't it? ;)

We moved in last weekend. Have NO internet at home so I have lots of catching up to do here and on Jaime's TR. Don't forget about me! :)

The kids' last day is Friday and I am done on the 13th.

The house is great... lots of boxes, but great.

Hope everyone is doing okay. :)
