We are 1/2 October and 1/2 November so I'll jump in here, since our check in will be in October. We are booked October 26- November 5. Really hoping for free dining, but will take anything.

Same here. Looking at last years discounts, I'm guessing the 26th-5 th, but we can go any day, just want to be there for Halloween and DD birthday on the 2end.

Us too! My main goal is to be there for Halloween. Last year we arrived on the 29th and had free dining for the trip.

That's what we're hoping for. We had free dining 8 of our last 12 trips. We had it over thanksgiving this past year because we checked in the 19th. I'll switch dates if they announce it, or any good discount.. We've never been there for Halloween. We've been there in September and gone to the party, but never been there on Halloween. The last few years have been terrible to trick or treat here in Ohio. We didn't even go in 2013&4, because it was raining and freezing out. So we figured why not?!

Newbie here, 7 nights at AoA 10/22-29. When we found out this coincided with food and wine, we didn't want to get shut out of more resorts (first phone call was not helpful, I figured out the basics myself online) or keep having to call back every day so we took rack rate and got plane tix with one of the rare nonstop flights to mco from our hometown. DH can only get that week off so switching dates for free dining isn't on my radar at all. Hoping for a quiet room or some pixie dust upgrades but not holding my breath. We just thought our kids (5 and 8) would like the theme.

I personally think that is a bad idea. they only offer discounts when rooms are not filling up. every room that is booked 'in hope' of a discount or free dinning is a room they consider sold. if it looks to Disney that they have a large booking already they may not feel the need to offer any incentives.
long story short, you could be shooting yourself in the foot by booking before anything is offered.

too late! I already booked 3 nights thru DVC owner. The other 3 nights I will wait for discount. I am open to anywhere for the first 3 nights so just going to wait and see. Figure if anything comes out it will be around june-july this year
