"It's Coming and it's BLUE" - A July 2010 TR - COMPLETED!!

Ahhh how cute you got to meet Thumper and Miss Bunny! <3
They were so cute! I'm really glad I got to meet them. :upsidedow
I'm such a big Lion King nerd, so FOTLK fills me with joy. ALSO YES THE LION SECTION IS THE BEST SECTION. Everyone else can suck it.

Every time we go to Animal Kingdom, we eat lunch at Pizzafari. I should probably get us to branch out a little more, but I had a friend that worked there on her college program so I have an odd sense of loyalty to it.

D'awww the character pictures! YOU ARE ADORABLE.

We requested Casitas 1-3, and were given room 2285 in Casitas 2. I really, really recommend the location - you get a parking lot view, but you just have to cross that parking lot to get to Bus Stop 2. The only thing is, it has to go to pick up people at the other bus stops, so make sure you get there early enough to accomodate that. On our first day, we wanted to get to the Magic Kingdom for the opening show, and we got on the bus with enough time to spare - but picking up other people took a while so we didn't get to see it.

But still, it's a really great place. And talking about it is making me miss it horrifically, oh man.
Yay! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks the Lion Section is the best. Everyone else just wishes they could be as cool as the Lions. :worship:

I'm also glad I'm not the only one who always eats at Pizzafari. I just can't eat anywhere else. I would feel like I was cheating on my beloved Chicken Caesar Salad. The salad guilt would be too much. :sad2:

That sounds like a great location. And thanks for the tip about the buses! I'll definitely keep that in mind. :thumbsup2
OMG ME TOO!! I watched that religiously! That, and Disneyland Fun, where I first heard, "Walking right down the middle of Main St. USA!" Oh, when they did the talent show to Jeepers Creepers?! Ugh, just pure nostalgia! Don't they go to Discovery Island on that one too, or is that another one? Oh and they sing a song with the Country Bears for sure! Oh Susanna, if I'm not mistaken. There was one girl in particular who, even at a young age, I found extremely annoying! Overacting like CRAZY!! BTW, I bought BOTH of those Sing-a-longs on DVD from Best Buy a few years ago but haven't gotten around to watching them yet....

Okay, I found it and my husband has you to thank for the next 32 minutes of misery for him, and pure bliss for me!! I took a picture for you!

ry%3D400

That's the girl on the front! The really super annoying one!
YES! And you're totally right...That girl made the most ridiculous faces. Her name was Tiffany. I only remember that because I still know all the words to the "Set Your Name Free" song from the Beach Party at WDW video. That one was my absolute favorite. I knew all the dances. To this day, I can still do the hula to "Pearly Shells". :rotfl:

I watched the Disneyland Fun one obsessively too. I remember them singing "Zip-a-dee-doo-dah" on Splash Mountain but there was like a weird rap section in the middle of it. I don't remember the all the words, but I remember it repeated "Z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-zip zip" over and over.
Awesome update, Kara! I am always so entertained by your writing, it's awesome! Let me know when you publish your first book, I'll be the first to buy it! :goodvibes
Aw thank you so much! That's so sweet. I'm glad I can entertain.

Whoa how have I not seen this and left a very long comment until now?! Well whatever, I'm here now!! The DIS should really provide text alerts for when you update, sheesh.

Anyway, as usual I am going to comment on basically every word you said so don't feel obligated to reply to every little detail because it will take you two hours.

1. I love that owl lamppost!! Animal Kingdom is the most creative park when it comes to making ordinary things like lamps or water fountains or chairs or whatever into something extraordinary! I think I went over this on my TR, too, but I really noticed tons of stuff I never have before on our last trip, and I plan to do that even more on our next one. (:

2. Love the pic of Everest from the Africa bridge. I always say that if some random person who didn't know Disney stuff (God help them) saw this, they'd never guess it was Disney or any theme park at all.

3. Very lucky you caught AK on a day that was a bit overcast! Same thing happened to us and we had the best day ever both days we visited AK. God, I haven't even gotten to our 2nd AK day on my TR yet!! I love that it has been going on almost a year LOL. Oh well, I warned you all it would be ages long!

4. I've never been to Pizzafari because I'm from New Jersey and I can't eat that pizza, it would be against my religion/DNA/etc, but I always love all the pics I see in there so I definitely want to visit next time. Everyone says Flame Tree BBQ is amazing too, so I want to try that as well. So much Disney, never enough time...

5. I love that you took out all that time to meet the characters in their safari garb! I love that too but never did it! The lines are always soo long when we're there, even if the rest of the park isn't crowded. Hopefully someday.

6. I WENT TO 6TH GRADE CAMP WITH SCHOOL TOO OH MY GOD. It was only for 3 days but it is, to this day, one of the best experiences of my entire life. I am the complete opposite of an outdoor girl and I never want to go camping for real, but my experience at 6th grade camp was the same as yours with the cabins and food and such. I am just going to stop here because I could tell at least 30 stories about how fun and crazy those 3 days were.

7. You look cute in every pic!! Work it!! Love the camera! Minnie is jealous tbh. Your mom is adorable too, especially in the Chip pic! She looks so happy and excited like a little kid. I love that!

8. Wow, I feel like a deprived child since I never saw the WDW Campout Tape. I did, however, religiously watch the Disneyland Fun sing along tape. My parents - I mean the EASTER BUNNY - actually gave it to me while we were at Disney World for my 5th birthday (first trip) and I remember seeing it and being SO excited to watch it but there was no VCR at our hotel, and my dad was just like "Well, we're AT Disney World so you can just see the real thing.." and I was like O RIGHT. I also remember being really concerned that the Easter Bunny would not be able to find me since we were on vacation LOLOLOL. My parents assured me that he is magic and could find me anywhere.

9. "They taught us the Hand Jive which I didn’t really need. I mean, I was born to Hand Jive, baby!" LOLOLOLOL I love you. "But I guess there are others who haven’t mastered the art of the Hand Jive." Um, LOSERS! Are there seriously people who haven't seen Grease 5,000 times? Trolls!!!

10. I agree with everything you said about FOTLK and the Best Section. It makes me cry every single time. It's one of the best things at Disney World for sure, and that is haaaard to narrrow down.

I have to look at my notes, but for some reason I really think we were at AK that day too!

Hey Kara, I gotta share this with you and Lia!! Dunno if you've found this yet...

http://www.youtube.com/user/DisneyParkAudio

They have a bunch of playlists from all the parks around the world. It's so much more music than the 4 parks 1 world cd and the quality is great. I need to find a way to put this stuff on my ipod...

BTW, I LOVE SNAKES!!! It made me so happy that you wanted to be the snake. She's so awesome.

Your trip to Camp Minnie and Mickey makes me REALLY want to go! I think I'll definitely spend some time there on my next trip. Miss Bunnie is SO CUTE!!

Whoa how have I not seen this and left a very long comment until now?! Well whatever, I'm here now!! The DIS should really provide text alerts for when you update, sheesh.
Brilliant idea. Or we could use the bat signal. Except it'd be Mickey Mouse instead of a bat. Or maybe we should just stick with text alerts...
Anyway, as usual I am going to comment on basically every word you said so don't feel obligated to reply to every little detail because it will take you two hours.

Same. I really want to spend a lot of time soaking up the details. It's such a gorgeous park and, until last year, I never really noticed that. So this year, taking in all those little Disney touches is a must.
2. Love the pic of Everest from the Africa bridge. I always say that if some random person who didn't know Disney stuff (God help them) saw this, they'd never guess it was Disney or any theme park at all.
I know, right? Isn't it amazing how that works? I have a bunch of Disney pictures hanging up in my room and people are always all "When did you go to Paris, Kara?" or "Wait, you went to Hawaii? I thought you were going to Disney..." It makes me smile.
Definitely. AK is so much more enjoyable when it's not quite so hot/humid. I love that your TR has been going on forever. I hope it never ends. It's an endless source of entertainment for me. :thumbsup2
Yeah, I'm not really a fan of the Disney pizza. It's too doughy for me. I'm more of a thin crust gal. But you definitely need to go in and look around sometime when it isn't crowded. It's a really cool restaurant.
5. I love that you took out all that time to meet the characters in their safari garb! I love that too but never did it! The lines are always soo long when we're there, even if the rest of the park isn't crowded. Hopefully someday.
Yeah, I was expecting the lines to be ridiculous, but they were nonexistent. It was around 11:30 too, so it's not like we headed right there at park opening. It was weird.
AH! I'm glad I'm not the only one who has ridiculously fond memories of 6th grade camp. I wanna hear your crazy stories! In case you haven't already figured it out, I'm a big fan of people's crazy stories. I come from a family who, whenever we all get together, will literally spend hours just sitting around and telling stories so it's in my DNA.
7. You look cute in every pic!! Work it!! Love the camera! Minnie is jealous tbh. Your mom is adorable too, especially in the Chip pic! She looks so happy and excited like a little kid. I love that!
My mom is totally a little kid while at Disney. She's just as giddy as I am and I love her for it.
Girl, you need to watch the Campout tape. And the Beach Party. They are amazing. And awww I don't blame you for being concerned that the Easter Bunny wouldn't be able to find you. I would have been the same way had we ever traveled during Christmas or Easter. Frankly I probably would have been like, "Mom, we cannot go then. We need to reschedule! I don't want the Easter Bunny to think we're ditching him!"
Trolls!!!
Frankly, watching Grease 5,000 times should be mandatory for everyone in this country. I'm adding this to my list of genius things to do if I ever become president along with daily one minute dance parties and the annual random sleep day, which is basically like a snow day except it can happen any day of the school year and no one knows it's going to happen, so they wake up in the morning, turn on the news and it's like "SLEEP DAY!!" so everyone goes back to bed.
10. I agree with everything you said about FOTLK and the Best Section. It makes me cry every single time. It's one of the best things at Disney World for sure, and that is haaaard to narrrow down.
It's so amazing. Sometimes, I'll just randomly start thinking about it and burst into tears. I CAN'T WAIT TO GET BACK AND SEE IT AGAIN!!
I finally learned how to add my comments into a quoted post! This makes responding to our lengthiness so much easier because I don't have to keep scrolling. I don't know why I didn't start doing this earlier. :rotfl:
I have to look at my notes, but for some reason I really think we were at AK that day too!
Ooooo I'll have to keep an eye out for myself in your photos then.

AH! That's awesome, Yuki! Thanks for sharing.

See, I actually hate real snakes. Like, they creep me out. Scales are disgusting. When I was in Girl Scouts for one year (I couldn't take it. I'm not really the organized activities type) we took a trip to the zoo and they forced me to touch a snake and it scarred me for life. But the FotLK snake costume is just so dang cool! I want it!

JULY 26TH PART THREE: Where Outlandish Giraffe Dreams Come True
Well, “You’ll Be in My Heart” came up on shuffle earlier and caused me to burst into tears, so I took it as a sign that I need to update this thing with the Tarzan soundtrack playing in the background for inspiration. It’s Animal Kingdom appropriate and it’s one of my favorites. I basically just push play and cry. It’s so moving! Phil Collins is a genius. And, in what’s become a running theme of this TR, it also features *NSYNC.

But before I get to the next installment, I do have a few random comments/questions/recommendations.

1. I’ve been missing WDW a lot lately, so I spent hours on Youtube the other day watching other people’s vacation videos. They were quite entertaining. This series especially. It’s always fun reading about/watching trip reports from people my age, and this one was very well done. Frankly, it made me want to go buy a video camera so that I can - or rather, force my dad to - record all of our vacation memories. It’d be my own little reality TV show. My family can stage an intervention due to my Mickey rice crispy treat addiction. We can inter-splice footage of me knocking people over during the mad dash to Toy Story Mania with a shot of me saying “I’m not here to make friends” all confessional-like. I’ll be 21, so I’ll be able to fulfill the requisite getting drunk and causing lots of drama by throwing a drink at someone and/or flipping over a table. It will be perfect.

2. Has anyone seen these for sale in the parks?
ponchominnie.jpg

I found it on the Disney Store’s website and it says they’re sold in the parks, but they were sold out online. In case you can’t tell, it’s a Minnie Mouse poncho. And it only comes in kids sizes (lame) but how small can a kids poncho really be? I’m only 5’3’’. I could probably make it work. I mean, I have no shame. I’d gladly walk around in a small-ish poncho as awesome as this one. Plus, I really only wear ponchos to keep my hair and my clothes dry, and since we’re going in July, I’ll be wearing shorts that are short enough to fit under a small-ish poncho. I don’t care if my legs get wet. And frankly, I hate the feeling of poncho sticking to my bare legs, so a too-small poncho would probably be way more comfortable.

So, anyway, if anyone has seen/sees one of these bad boys in the parks, let me know. I wanna know where I can find one come July!

3. It’s Spring Break and I’m using my (glorious) free time to finish bringing my family into the digital age by sorting through and scanning boxes and boxes of old pictures. So guess what time it is…Time to look at pictures of me as a little kid being adorable at WDW!

1.jpg

My very first trip to WDW!! I was 4 and Katie was 2. We were only there for the day, and I only remember bits and pieces, but the fact that I'm currently posting all of this on a WDW message board is proof that it struck a chord.

IMG_0003.jpg

My dad and I on the Mad Tea Party. You can only really see the top of my head. This next one's blurry, but you can tell I'm having a great time.
IMG_0007.jpg

Here we are waiting for the parade. I'm sitting in my dad's lap and Katie's in Mom's lap. I'm quite enjoying all of the 90s fashion.
IMG_0002.jpg

Evidently we headed over to the Grand Floridian for a while so my dad and grandpa could hit up the bar. LOL.
IMG_0001.jpg

And here we all are (minus my grandma) on Main Street. I'm rocking what is either a Chip or Dale hat. And I'm assuming we were about to leave because I look like I'm about to cry. Frankly, I'm about to start crying right now from looking at these pictures because my grandpa passed away two and a half years ago from cancer. I miss him lots.
IMG_0005.jpg

Here are some pictures from my second trip (again, only for a day) in 1996. They were in the process of painting/decorating the castle for the 25th anniversary celebration.

And here's a picture from my first trip to Epcot in 1998, I think. I'm really bad at remembering dates and we didn't properly label any of these pictures. :rotfl:
IMG.jpg

Anyway, this is as far as I've gotten, but there are definitely more coming as I dig through these giant boxes of photos.

And now to today’s update starring me and not starring Nanette Manoir…

With “Circle of Life” still running through our heads, we headed back to Africa to use our Safari FPs. If this were a previous trip, I would have been complaining about how ridiculous the Animal Kingdom’s layout is, how claustrophobic all of the trees make me feel, and/or how I feel like I’m melting. But because I was actually having a, dare I say it, PERFECT day at AK, none of these thoughts even crossed my mind. I just happily walked alongside my family, bobbing my head to the background music with a huge smile on my face.
592.jpg

593.jpg

594.jpg

As you can see, we definitely weren’t the only ones using our FPs at this time. It was kinda crazy. But once we actually entered the queue, things weren’t as bad as they seemed. We probably only waited 10-15 minutes. Actually, thinking back, I guess it could have been longer. All I remember is that the queue was really dark and shady, so I started feeling a bit drowsy. I was incredibly envious of the little girl in front of us taking a nap in her daddy’s arms, so I faceplanted into my dad’s back to take a nap standing up. It was not nearly as satisfying as being carried.

Kids, take advantage of the years when your parents can still carry you while you nap, and force them to carry you everywhere. Trust me, you will miss them when they’re gone.

595.jpg

Anyway, before long (I think), we were boarding our vehicle and heading out on safari. But first, we had to wait for the safari vehicle traffic jam ahead of us to clear up.

I took this picture of one of the other vehicles. Doesn’t everybody look like they’re having a great time? LOL. Frankly, I don’t blame them. You can only stare at random foliage for so long.
598.jpg

Finally, the road cleared, and it was time to head out!
599.jpg

CONTINUED IN NEXT POST~

I mentioned in the previous update that we’ve always had terrible luck with the safari. We’ve rarely seen any animals, and the one time an animal actually got close to our vehicle, it was an ostrich and it scared the crap out of me. I was sitting at the edge of our row and it was right there. I started crying/hyperventilating and tried to lean as far away from it as I could. It was not fun. But this time around, all of those bad memories were replaced with some amazing ones. The number of animals we saw and their proximity to us was incredible. It was really exciting!

First up, we saw some Black Rhinos taking a nap. They were precious.
600.jpg

219.jpg

But at the same time, those black birds you see everywhere were flying insanely close to the vehicle. I was praying that our driver would step on it and get us out of there ASAP.

Here are some deer-like critters doing deer-like things. I can’t remember what either of them are called.
220-1.jpg

602.jpg

Here’s a Hippo chillin’ underwater.
603.jpg

And then it was time to head out to the savannah. It’s gorgeous.
605.jpg

We wound our way past the Thompson’s Gazelles and the Zebras, and came upon the giraffes.
606.jpg

608.jpg

I love giraffes. A lot. I always have, I always will. As a kid, I used to watch shows about giraffes on Animal Planet, wishing that I could meet one and feed him some browse so we could become best friends. I really wanted a friend who was an animal. Humans just weren’t cutting it at the time. Plus, there’s just something so cool about giraffes. They’re so unique. I used to envision myself riding to school on my giraffe friend’s back, with my arms wrapped around his neck. I was a strange kid.

So what happened next quickly rose toward the top of my “Coolest Things That Have Ever Happened to Me” list.

This giraffe walked right over to me. Literally, right over to me. He (or she, I guess) wasn’t like “Oh, I’m just gonna wander over to the truck…” it was more of an “I see you and I’m walking right to you.” We even made eye-contact.
609.jpg

He got closer than this, but I was in too much shock to take another picture.

I didn’t really know what to do with myself because, really, what do you do when your childhood fantasy comes to life? I really wanted to reach out and touch him, but I figured that someone from Disney would come running out with a tranquilizer gun to take me out, so I settled on saying hello to my new giraffe friend the cordial way – with baby talk. Some combination of “OH MY GOSH HELLO! AREN’T YOU JUST THE CUTEST THING EVER! I JUST WANT TO CUDDLE YOU TO MY CHEST AND TIE LITTLE BOWS AROUND YOUR HORNS AND LOVE YOU FOREVER” came out of my mouth. It wasn’t food, so my giraffe friend wasn’t all that impressed. But he didn’t like run away or anything, so I’m taking that to mean that he liked me.

After like a minute of my “ooohing and ahhing”, he started to walk away, so our driver took that as his opportunity to start moving again. But before we left, I snapped one final picture of my new giraffe BFF.
610.jpg

Y’know how sometimes when people have really good experiences with a CM, they write Disney a letter/e-mail to acknowledge their amazingness? I kinda want to write a letter acknowledging this giraffe. I mean, he was wonderful, and he definitely deserves some extra leaves or something.

We continued on our safari and passed by this closed road. I love all the little details on this ride. I mean, it would have been easy for Disney to scrimp on the details because most people are so focused on the animals they don’t notice them, but they didn’t. Because they’re awesome like that.
612.jpg

Up next, we encountered the 1-2 punch of pachyderms: elephants and rhinos! Not together, though that would have been fun. Do elephants and rhinos even get along in real life?
613.jpg

614.jpg

615.jpg

As you can see in that last picture, there was a baby! It was adorable.
616.jpg

617.jpg

He was getting a drink from that watering hole, but he leaned so far in that his whole body wound up in the water. It was the cutest thing. I wanted nothing more than to jump out of the vehicle and join him for a swim. But, again, I thought of the tranq gun-wielding people jumping out of the bushes and decided against it.

Here’s a rhino family hiding in the foliage.
619.jpg

620.jpg

Again, the baby was absolutely adorable. He filled me with warm fuzzies.

Next, it was time to meet some lions. I was hoping that an African choir would appear out of nowhere and burst into NAAAAAAAANTS INGONYAMA BAGITHI BABAAAAA while a lion dramatically took his place atop the rock, but instead we got this…
621.jpg

Not quite the same. But I can’t say I blame him. Being king must take so much effort. Poor guy probably just needed a moment of ‘Hakuna Matata’.

At this point, the relaxing, “let’s look at the pretty animals” part of the ride ended, and the “What? Poachers captured Little Red? OH NO THEY DIDN’T. Somebody hold my earings” part of the ride began. I quite enjoy feeling the wind through my hair as we chase down the poachers. Ultimately, Little Red was safe, the warden found the scumbags, and we made it back in one piece. Hooray.

Safari complete, we decided it was time to head back to the Polynesian for a nap and some pool time, so we made the (insanely long, but remember I didn’t complain this time) trek from Africa to the bus stops.

Of course, just as we made it to the buses, the Polynesian/Contemporary bus was pulling out.
624.jpg

Did we A) jump up and down like crazy people hoping the bus would see us and stop B) wait for the next bus C) curl up into the fetal position and cry or D) none of the above? You’ll just have to stay tuned for the next installment to find out. ;)

Aww I loved the old school pics. They look exactly like mine. It's so much fun to look at how much WDW has changed since then. And to make fun of some of the hideous outfits our mothers made us wear, but we really thought they were cool back then. I do have some cute outfits I wore there though.

OMG. I WANT that Minnie poncho. I'm short like you, so I'd fit into the kid one! If you ever find one, you might have to send me one. :flower3:

Great update!!! :) Can't wait to hear what you did in response to the bus problem. :lmao:
I must say, I think our response to the bus problem was pretty creative. Actually, I don't know that creative is the right word. It's more like our quick thinking paid off. But more on that in the next update! :upsidedow

I know, right? I love looking back at old WDW photos. I love that even though a lot has changed, a lot has stayed the same. And yeah, I don't understand how some of the stuff we wore was ever in fashion. I look at pictures and I'm just like "Really? That was fashionable? Really? People actually sold/bought clothes like these? Yikes." :rotfl:

If I find the Minnie ponchos, I will definitely stock up. :thumbsup2

First of all, I've SEEN all those vacation videos on youtube too!!! I saw the exact same ones you are watching. Started looking for them like...2 years ago. They're the best! And just like you, they make me want to get a digital video camera. I have an old one that uses tapes and I can't find the wire that lets me connect it to my laptop.....

I have SEEN that poncho on the website and saw the adult size one!! So they DO exist! It's about TIME the brought them over from Tokyo Disneyland. It wasn't fair that only the Japanese got them, but now we can have them too!! I've never liked ponchos, but I WANT these!!

Adorable photos!!! Since my first trip to WDW was when I was 17, I don't have any of those cute pictures. Loved yours!!

It's awesome that you had a great day at Animal Kingdom. That baby elephant is so adorable. There's actually this cartoon about a little girl that has all these "wild" animals as pets and she rides her giraffe to school!!! They took your dream and turned it into a show!

I remember that I made my parents carry me until I was pretty big.....I really liked it!

Do you have any other vacation videos to recommend? I need more! :rotfl:

AHHHHHHH! They come in adult sizes too? Perfect. I mean, I still think I might prefer a kids size (depending on how small it actually is) but that is wonderful news! Fingers crossed that they have them in the parks come July!

OH MY GOD. That little cartoon child is me! It's like they got into my brain or something. Crazy.

OKOKOK before I get to your latest update, HOLY CRAP. Sleep Day is such a GENIUS idea. Please become president!!!!!! Thanks. I will vote for you.

Onto the update!

1. 30 Rock quote time!
Tracy: Imma make you a mix tape. You like Phil Collins?
Jack: I have two ears and a heart, don't I?

2. HAHAHA omg make sure that when you say "I'm not here to make friends!" in your confessional that your hair (weave) is slightly askew. I just watched that link you included and I love it already after the first installment!!! I want to do something like that so bad! I always try to do a video diary but never end up doing it. On my solo trip I have like Day 1 and Day 3, and that's it.

3. *GRABBY HANDS* I want that poncho!! I am 5'3" too, how small can it really be?

4. AWW I love the pictures you scanned! So cute! I love looking back at our photos from our first trip which was for my 5th birthday. There is one on our fridge and I always smile and think, whoa, that girl had no idea what she was in for with the Disney obsession that was going to come from this trip! I'm really sorry about your grandpa. Mine died of cancer in 2006 so I know how it feels. =( It's awesome that you have Disney memories with him. :)

5. FANTASTIC ANGELA ANACONDA REFERENCE!!!!!!!

6. Aww omg! That giraffe story!!! I love the pic of him/her coming toward you... so magical! God the safari is amazing.

7. Aw man, I wish the lions had been active for you like they were for us on our trip! We went on another safari on one of our last days and they were just laying on the rock again, so I'm thinking it was a kind of once in a lifetime Disney experience. *sigh* I love them so much.

8. Somebody hold my earrings LOLOLOL

9. I hate when that happens with the busses! I can't wait to have a rent-a-car next trip... have I said that enough times? LOL

OH yeah! Lia just reminded me of your awesome Angela Anaconda quote! My bff's name is Anndrea and in highschool, that was her theme song. And we would sing it in the hallway and stuff.

Yes, I'll gather a list of the videos you have to check out. I'm always scouring for the newest videos.

Not only will I become president, I'll become the GREATEST PRESIDENT OF ALL-TIME. FIREWORKS. EAGLES. HOT DOGS. AMERICA.

I was telling my family about my desire to film our entire vacation, and they seemed kinda excited about it, so we'll see what happens. I really wanna do it. My dad loves little projects, so if I declare him Official Trip Videographer, he'll get really into it.

Right? The poncho can't be that small. I mean, kids are all sorts of sizes, so if it's a "one size fits every kid" you'd think it'd be bigger rather than smaller.

I wish I could go back in time and be like "Oh, Little Self, you have no idea what you're in for. Start saving your money now. And also, don't start watching the Vampire Diaries because you will get addicted and then during the (ridiculously long) hiatuses you will be crippled with separation anxiety and find yourself obsessively refreshing Twitter, hoping that Paul Wesley has tweeted again in the 5 seconds since you last refreshed."

The safari is amazing. GAH. I can't wait to get back on it. Maybe my giraffe friend will recognize me like in that video where the lions recognize the guys who raised them and then released them back into the wild. That makes me sob uncontrollably.

That's awesome. My friends weren't really Angela Anaconda fans (LAME-Os) but my parents LOVED IT. We still make references to Mrs. Brinks and Johnny Abatti. I love my parents.

Yay! Thanks. I need my Disney video fix. :thumbsup2

Another college student joining in! :yay: I just caught up with your TR and I'm loving it! Will Smith, NSYNC, B*Witched references? I'm in. :thumbsup2

If you showed this picture to 100 random strangers on the street and asked them to guess where it was taken, I doubt many of them would guess Walt Disney World. And that’s what I love about it. That’s also what I love about Disney. When you travel to WDW, you’re not just traveling to WDW. You’re traveling to the Wild West, outer space, underwater, an African savannah, countries from around the world, Andy’s bedroom, and old Hollywood among others, all in one vacation. And, sure, you’re not seeing the “real” thing, but just look through all of the pictures you’ve taken while at WDW and you’ll see that you’ve “been” to quite a lot of places.

So true. This is one of my absolute favorite things about Disney!

Looking forward to more!

WELCOME! Thanks for joining in! :goodvibes I should probably add a little "Warning: An abundance of late 90s/early 00s pop culture references ahead!" at the beginning of this TR. It's gotten a little out of hand. But hey, what can I say? I'll always be stuck in the 90s/early 00s. :cool2:

That's definitely one of the best things about Disney. I mean, with the high temperatures, insane humidity, funky looking grass, and afternoon thunderstorms, I never completely forget I'm in Florida, but I've come pretty darn close. :upsidedow

I am all caught up!!

Last I left you, I was on my way to WDW the first week of Nov. I have since gone back again for a last minute 6 day trip and I am having withdrawals - BAD. Your TR is helping me with that! :goodvibes

First off, I am listening to SpectroMagic as I promised when reading your TR..and secondly OMGWAHOO!!! Youre going back for your 21st!! :woohoo::yay:

I just wanted to let you know that I'm reading your TR... and I'm only on like the 2nd day or something. But everytime I have a free moment in computer class or at night I catch up on your report because it's great. I love it :thumbsup2 I just thought I'd let you know. You make me laugh so much I love how you write!

Okay I was literally JUST about to comment Jess that's scary! :p Kara I am all caught up!! :) But I don't even know where to begin with all the stuff I was going to say so I'll just comment on the latest update:

LOVE the Minnie poncho! I sooo want one! :cutie:

Those flashback pics are adorable!! :) You and your sister look so happy...except when you had to leave of course.

Love the Safari  Never gets old to me. Just ask Jess. I freakkk out when the animals get close to the safari vehicle. But in a good way. LOL.
