It's booking time again! Can somebody help me?

Hello everyone!

It's that wonderful time of the year where my friend and I are deciding to book for a trip to DLP.

Our trip is going to cost £1000 (I know, pushing the boat out this year! ), and I am planning to book over the phone and pay with my debit card. My question is to anyone who has done this before...

A) Do they take the entire amount on initial booking, or is a deposit taken like when booking with a credit card?

B) How much is the deposit? Is it a fixed percentage of the total price?

When we booked for our Christmas trip, we tried using DH's debit card booking online & his bank blocked the card for security reasons. We needed up paying cash in a travel agents - same price- we had to leave a 10% deposit.

Hi,
Ive never booked via the phone before, but i have read on several occasions that via phone you can just pay a deposit at 10%.

Im sure others who have booked this way will give you some more info!!

Yes, 10% deposit when you book by phone and the remaining balance to be paid 60 days before arrival.

I ended up just phoning and asking and was told what you lovely people have said.

... So I ended up booking there and then! 3 nights / 4 days in the Disneyland Hotel in September!

The best part is my friend thinks we are going to be staying at the Sequoia Lodge but I've decided on the ultimate upgrade for her birthday/early Christmas present. Now I need to think of a way to surprise her!!
