I finally planned and booked our very first vacation to Disney World & a Disney cruise! Ive been to Disney Land a lot as a little girl but my husband or 7 year old have never been. We will be at Disney World from September 20th through the 25th at All star sports and then we will leave for a Disney Cruise on the dream to the bahamas for a 4 day cruise. I am so excited to start all the the detail planning now but have a lot of questions.

How do y'all create a plan? Do you keep a binder, document on your computer of your itinerary? Like what day your going here, where your eating, what rides are the best to ride, things to do and see. Its our first time and I have been overwhelmed with everything. I really want to create somewhat of a plan each day instead of just winging it because I know that will be a disaster. I have read so many things to do, see, what rides to ride for sure so I want to make sure I have it all documented because I will forget.

Do y'all feel the quick service plan is plenty? My husband is 6'6 and eats a lot so I have been going back and forth figuring out if it will be enough for him.

We will have 4 day park passes so I want to hit up all the parks or do you think thats too much? Im almost debating on extending our stay to 8 days with 6 park passes. Or maybe not since we will be doing the cruise too? Is there a park you prefer over any of them? One that you would want to skip one and hit up the other again?

Im sure I will have more questions but this is what I have for now. Thanks so much for ya'lls help! :)

Hi!

So excited for your first trip! If you can extend it i definitely suggest to just to make sure you see everything! you never have enough days in disney even with your cruise after :) I wouldn't skip a park either since it is your first time there!

Do you know free dining for your trip comes out tomorrow? I would make sure to call right away in the morning to get it. You will get the quick service plan but if you are willing to pay to upgrade I would so you have sit down meals through out your trip. I also suggest Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party if it is affordable in your budget.

I plan what park everyday and then our fast passes and dining reservations. We just keep ours in a notebook! Happy planning :)

We took our first trip last year and I had tons of questions too! I googled Disney iteniary and found and neat exel spreadsheet someone had done. I decided what parks we'd do each day and booked all of our Dinner reservations and plugged it all in the spreadsheet. Then I put what rides we wanted to do and the shows and times going on in that park for the day. I also did cute little index cards for each day with basically the same info on it. The trip was a surprise for our kids! So once we told them I was able to pull out all the index cards and show them all the cool things we'd being doing. And honestly once we got to Disney I didn't use the spreadsheet or the cards. I had it all memorized!

We decided on parks based on the crowd predictions except for magic kingdom. We did that for our first park even though it wasn't recommended on that particular day. We did MK three times during our first trip and each of the other parks once.

We did the Disney dining plan with one quick service meal, one table service and one snack per person per day. I placed an order from garden grocer and had breakfast stuff delivered to our room. So most mornings we ate in the room, did quick service for lunch and had a sit down dinner. We loved this dining plan! I don't think I would do disney without it!

I hope this helps! You'll have a great trip!
