Yikes! Sorry that you are still upset about this, but it was only a vacation! We have had bad times on ALL of our
Disney vacations due to someone being sick. In November it was my DD3 who woke up in the middle of the night puking all over the bed and all over me. Another time we had to take her to the Celebrations hospital due to a double ear infection. (try hanging out away from home with a 15 month old who is very sick...no fun!) My DS has been sick there once or twice. You know what you do when you have a sick kid at Disney? Sometimes you stay in your room ALL DAY! And when we are staying at the Yacht Club concierge level you can imagine what it's costing us.
One trip it was ME throwing up in the bathroom on the plane. (Can you even imagine how horrible it would be to do that - in that small room where some people don't have such great aim??)
One trip my DH was so sick we had to call in a doctor! So I was there with two young kids, a sick husband who I was afraid would have to go to the hospital and then what would I do?? While DH was laying in bed for two days I was walking the parks with the kids. Not much fun when you want to be there as a family, but what can you do?
But we keep on going back. If I sat here and thought about all the bad things that have happened there I would never go again!
I just don't understand why you think you should get more compensation. As others have suggested, if you still feel so strongly about it then you should write to Disney. Would you rather have had them send you out on a ship knowing that your family could get sick? Would you take that chance?
It's your choice to move on or stay upset about it.
Jill....who's wondering who will be sick our next trip...
