I can't believe I had a dream about staying at BCV. The dream was: We were there a couple of days when we were informed one afternoon that we needed to relocate from our one-bedroom on the third floor to a studio on the first floor. We were really upset, and we were reminded that "room requests are never guaranteed." (I guess in my dream that meant room size too!) I asked why we had to move, and they told me it was because they had people arriving that reserved a one-bedroom. I reminded them that "I thought room requests are never guaranteed" and they said we had our time in a one-bedroom and it was time to move. DH and I decided not to go back to our room that day, and that way the room wouldn't be vacated when the new guests arrive and they would have to take the studio...

I guess subconsciously I must be worried that our recent DVC purchase might not be all I'm hoping it will be. After having complications with rooms when we went last week, and reading about people who have GVs reserved for 11 months and then having their reservation changed...I must be a little nervous I guess. But in my awake state of mind, I know being at any DVC property and being in DISNEY will be awesome even with some minor complications!

they can't make you change rooms are you are checked-in - unless there is a problem and you want to change rooms -

so don't worry about that

I though when they made people give up their GV they returned all the points and gave them 2-bedrooms at no point cost to them - was I wrong????

DVC can't after you arrive do anything but honor their contract with you - so don't even worry.....

but always be extra nice to the CM's at the front desk - if they know you care they will go out of their way to find you a great room - most of the time.....

there are rooms and there are ROOMS!!!! I happen to love a great view from my room - some people don't spend enough time in the room to care....

I really enjoyed my first visit home to OKW in 93 (it was the DVC in those days) - I was alone so I stayed in a studio - it was a great trip - I loved the place, DVC and WDW took on an extra light - you now KNOW that you will be back.....so OKW began on that visit to feel like home - not just some hotel that I stayed at - and OKW did then and still does most of the time - treat a member special.....

I know the things that happened in the dream couldn't really happen, but I guess I'm just worrying that I'll never again get a big balcony, and never get that Epcot view we want, etc. I don't necessarily anticipate specific problems, just maybe I have an underlying feeling of "this DVC thing won't be all it's cracked up to be."

But you know what - I don't really feel like that in the light of day. Instead I feel thrilled that we'll be able to stay at such wonderful places time and time again. Like I said, I think my subconscious is getting to me after reading all these reports on this board!

And BTW Spiceycat, yes they did get two 2BR instead of the GV, which does turn out to be a better deal. And I'm not sure if they got all their points back.

The thing this dream really tells me is that I spent way too much time on the computer and way too much time thinking about Disney!!

No, what is really bad is waking up from the dream about DVC and you realize that you are not there!
