Hi JandT'smom!

We are dvcer's so I usually book my own airfares to Disney but I think that next year I will see if I can pay a TA to do it. This is just crazy waiting all day. I thought that TA's can book a group earlier if they package their clients together( presuming they have a large enough group of people going to the same airport). That would be a great selling point if they could

As long as we're sitting around chatting, here is a WWYD:

DD (9) had high fever Wed/Thur - broke on Friday. Saturday night til now she is complaining of sore neck & headache. Woke up today with sore neck, sore chest (crying) and sore shoulder? Low grade fever is back 100.00.

I spoke with nurse and she says it doesn't sound like Strep and the fever indicates something other than a pulled muscle. No other symptoms.

So, WWYD?

Hi, These symptoms would WORRY me,so I would ask to see the Doctor today or head to the ER. Joan

I have always been told to watch your kids for meningitis if they get a sore neck and a fever. Maybe ask the nurse or doctor about this.

Meningitis was the first thing I thought of with those symptoms, too. I would definitely get her checked ASAP.

And count me in as another one sitting here waiting for SW to open the dang schedule for February!!

OK -- the schedule has been extended but the prices (at least for MHT to MCO) are very high! Anybody find any good deals?

Ok, I've been worried about that too and just did a google search to find out you don't need a HIGH fever to have viral meningitis. So... I have an appt with the Ped at 3:45pm with her.

I have been talking with the nurse all day and she has been great. I will feel better bringing her in.

So, if my appt is at 3:45pm, they should release fares about 4pm or so.

Fares just opened up and they are way over the top compared to last March when the day they opened I booked an outbound from Detroit to Orlando for $45.00 + tax. Should come down in a few days.

$ 680 RT for two from MHT ??... what happened to cheap fares...that's what I would expect from Delta not SWA...JB is $200 less out of Logan...what's up with SWA ???

ZAKATAK Glad you are seeing the Doctor let us know how she is?? I booked Feb.15(friday)pvd to mco $104.+taxes,3 tickets $343.20 and February 25th (monday) mco to pvd same price. My DS will miss 2 days of school but I was going to do February 14 and THAT was HIGHER so I clicked on Friday (15th) and that had the 6:30am flight wide open so I went with it! And then when I checked the Monday(Feb 25th) same deal wide open and CHEAPER! Otherwise I was looking at $239.+taxes per person. Now I need to cancel a DVC night(Thursday 14th) and book Sunday the 25th! Good Luck Eeryone! Joan

i grabbed 3 seats for $250 each PVD-TPA for Pres week and when I hit ok after I entered my cc info, it told me there was a problem with my cc #. Went back, cc info was correct, hit ok again, then it tells me the seats were no longer available. All day I waited. Now only the high fares are available. Oh well, maybe 2009.

When I put in the RT fares, it all of a sudden gave me $89 down - meaning SWA is not liking the ONE WAY fares anymore!

I did book $89 down and $241 (GASP) back only because I had that $360 credit. It breaks down to $275 RT per person which isn't bad over President's week.

Plus, we like the day at home to recoup so we couldn't fly home on Monday afterwards - had to fork out the cash for that Saturday flight home. You never know, they could drop and I can get another credit for Disneyland in the Spring!

All said and done, we are going to WDW & the MAGIC officially now, Feb 13 - 23, 2008!

I did a one way-only for $108 + taxes out of BWI departing on Feb 22. I am going to wait to book our return because the flights I want are at $189 OW! I am hoping I can get a ding or a discount on the outbound and apply that towards the return.
