I just called and she said if it wasn't going to be released today they would have advised them already so they can tell people and the unneccessary phone calls would stop

I think she is wrong HeatherC. Several agents told me today for sure, even when I spoke to them after 11:00 EST. I have seen many different release times in the past.My quess is before 1PM

No, because TAs get little or NO benefit from booking airline tickets. That's why they charge a fee to the client.

I just called and SW reps are still saying that they are being told that the release will still be today sometime.

Have to tell you that I am SICK of this airfare game.
Can't they just say what time they will release them so we don't have to sit on the computer all day?

I also don't think the rates will be that great for the dates I need ....President's Week.

I keep saying I'll wait another hour and then I'm just going to go ahead and book on another airline. (Have other options already priced out.) But...what if there rates are better? Such is risk we take.

Last year I was on within seconds of the schedule opening. Only the highest "refundable anytime" fares were available for most of President's Week .

I just called and the very nice woman said, "Try around 12 or 1pm... try around 12pm".

So... let's hope for a 1pm EST release? That's in 9 minutes. I am not sure what I am going to do if they come out with everything blocked out but the most expensive fares for Presendent's week.

Well, at least I have a $360 credit to work with...

Plus, the fares from Albany to Orlando are $500 RT. More expensive than most of the legacies.

As a TA I have gotten up early or stayed up late for my customers well at least till midnight and then check again about 4:00am then go back to bed. It is true the airlines pay us nothing so we have to charge a fee but if they have booked the land portion with me I will not charge my clients the fee. I am in the chicago area and I often will do SW air becasue it is cheaper than what the air cost in in a Walt disney Travel Company package. Right now I am waiting fo SW to snag air for myself if the price is good.

As long as we're sitting around chatting, here is a WWYD:

DD (9) had high fever Wed/Thur - broke on Friday. Saturday night til now she is complaining of sore neck & headache. Woke up today with sore neck, sore chest (crying) and sore shoulder? Low grade fever is back 100.00.

I spoke with nurse and she says it doesn't sound like Strep and the fever indicates something other than a pulled muscle. No other symptoms.

So, WWYD?

We want flights feb 8 to feb17. Gave up a free lunch, to sit and watch the computer. Told the girls, no I don't want to go to lunch, I'm REALLY HOPING, the flights come up. 12:25pm not yet.
