So date #3 got moved... to tonight :teeth: He's coming by to have dinner with me and my mom. Dad's going somewhere.

Hi Everyone, barely home at all today, but while I had a chance I wanted to say hi!

No biking around here...it's raining....it's pouring.....
And all the folks who sat in traffic to head north for the school holidays are in the middle of it too :lmao:
I know I shouldn't laugh....we've been kept indoors by rain on coastal beach holidays...but....after my morning I'm not sympathetic...

I haven't been to the movies in ages...so this landing on a rainy day wasn't ideal...but we had free tickets to use so I went to see The Lion King in 3D

NORMALLY the first session of the day isn't busy. And it certainly wasn't busy. But we had toddlers from hell and brain dead parents.
Only about 20 other people in the cinema (the biggest they have) but that just gave these kids a great playground. :headache:
My question - When did the cinema become a playground?? If all your children want to do is run up and down stairs and climb over seats take then to a playground. The cinema is EXPENSIVE here...especially 3D.

I've never seen anything so bad. The parents I THINK were sitting down the bottom and the kids running up and down the stairs screaming at times. I mean the cinema was so dark and they could have gotten seriously hurt tumbling down the stairs. And I think something did happen given the blood curdling scream at one point. At which time mum came and collected the kid....to return to the seat.....screaming!!!!! She finally worked out...oh....perhaps I should take her out...

ugh...

Anyway...

I found some photos of when my Frangipani was flowering in January :goodvibes

I'm starting to think there are beautiful flowers everywhere in Austraila.

We did a month long driving holiday once from the bottom to top of Western Australia during Wildflowers season. All those photos would be film....somewhere....

PIO - do you have any nice bottle brush, kangaroo paw...anything like that?? photos?

Nice frangipani Queenie. :thumbsup2

I don't have bottle brush pictures; but they are pretty common in California as well.

This one is a Banksia. Taken last year when I was first learning how to spell dSLR.

Have a good day?
You didn't stay for the cars or fireworks?

well this assumes the Melbourne show is like our Royal Easter Show :scratchin

Fireworks.....yes; but I didn't check if they were on tonight or not. We got there at 9 am and left at 4.30 pm.....both DH and I COMPLETELY tapped of $$$$$$.

It was a good day. I haven't even looked at the pictures yet....but I was a bit disappointed with them today. Couldn't get them to come out how I wanted them to. Best thing to do? Leave them til tomorrow. :thumbsup2

Ah yes....$$$$. DS satisfied? :lmao:

I'm sure the photos are better than you think!

So you don't have the holden precision driving team? Which is now the Hilux heros?
4 cars/utes and usually a 'special' car

DH is still working (from home at least). It is odd to see him up this late. What is more odd is that we are in the same room and cannot even have a discussion.

They have shows during the day. We missed the precision cars but saw Motorcycle tricksters instead. There was also MONSTER truck precision. I think I managed a glimpse over the monster men that flew from EVERYWHERE the minute the V8 engines kicked started. No pictures of the trucks or cars...need to see how the motorcycle jumps turned out.

Woodchopping was one on my list...but sadly fell in between other events.....like keeping DS amused on the various rides. He had a good day. We limited the $ he had for showbags. :faint: Are they expensive or what??? And I couldn't believe how many some people got!

Has a very familiar ring to it! :rotfl:

Dh just finished working and went to bed. I may go upstairs in a few minutes and try to sleep. Good night everyone.
