I'm always excited when Queenie graces us with her pressence. But I know that an evil witch is keeping her locked in the dugeon. Hopefully she gets out on the weekend for good behavior.



Last night, slept early, and woke up coughing too many times so I figured I watch tv for a bit and stop by to say, HAY!

:scratchin I think she might be locked up in the Ivory Tower!! :rotfl:
 
Have you gone to see a doctor about this cough? Its coming up to winter and will be much harder to shake then. :hug:

It won't look like winter until I see snow. Though if the clouds clear it could be on the mountain tops now. :confused3

A lot of people have had this cough, 2-3 weeks. I've got a few more days, but it seems like it's changing which is either good, or a seperate virus.
 
Just look after yourself.

I'm the right royal of lingering coughs. I normally hold on to my coughs for at least 5 months.

All the surfaces are done.

Just have vacuuming and moping to do....and then I found out that DS has a birthday party to go to at noon. I thought it was 2 pm! :scared1:

Gotta wrap the present, find a card, organise DS and then run out to the activity. He's just going to be late to the party. :sad2:
 
Got about 10 minutes before I need to run out. Turkey sounds great! What's the occasion?
 
We have Swing Band rehearsal Sunday, so I'm going to cut up the turkey and reheat it for Sunday. We still have at least three more in the freezer and Thanksgiving is coming up soon!

No, I'm going to make a Thanksgiving Dinner (limited) with mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy and these stuffed zucchini. Doh! I don't know what I'm making for dessert!

Will you have access to a micro or oven on the day? What about a chocolate self saucing pudding? You can serve it with cream and ice cream
 
My turkey is looking good so far, about another hour to go

The place has a full kitchen, but what I like to do is have stuff that is completely ready once the rehearsal is over (no microwaving and stuff). I put the dinner in the oven at 3:00 when we arrive and set the oven to turn on around 5:15 to heat up the food. At 6:00 it's piping hot. In the past I've done just store bought cookies. One of the ladies on my PTR (bangzoom6877) gave me this great crock pot molten cake reciped, but Fran may not want me to "do that much work". As if cooking a whole turkey with all the trimmings isn't! :rolleyes1
 
I can SMELL that turkey from here. Looks great. Well if you want a cold dessert, there is always tiramisu.

Roasted a little chicken which gave me a lot of leftovers. Now I'm a little jelous because I'm wishing I did some stuffing too. :guilty:

The crock pot cake would be easier! Besides we have some none drinkers and my Tiramisu has been known to put people under the table! I haven't made it in a while so it would take some more testing to figure out the right proportions. (You dip the lady fingers in a mix of coffee and brandy) people have been known to get quite inebriated from my Tiramisu! The funny thing is that I use less than a shot of brandy!

You know :scratchin I could probably pick one of those up at a store! A can of whipped cream and I'd be set!
