I only took an advil, but I am tired the laundry mat took it out of me. I will be so happy to purchase a house and have a laundry room back so I dont have to leave home to do it.

I love my new laundry, even if it's only six months old!

I've taken some Advil and still have a headache! :headache:

Last here as well.

I need to go get Fran some strawberries and Ice Cream

No worries, the strawberries were already cut, I just put them in a bowl and put a couple scoops of ice cream on top of them. At least they didn't go to waste. We bought another 2 lbs of them today!

Okay....posting last night's dinner on here too.

My Woo Hoo :woohoo: dinner!

I'll let the food do the talking; because all I'd be doing is going WOW! Delicious! for every single thing I ate.

The first entree...er....appertizer for the North Americans. Farmed Jade Tiger Abalone, thinly sliced and wok tossed with spring onions. Served with prawn and shrimp sauces.

Second appertizer. South Australian King George Whiting fried in a crispy batter and served with fresh lemon juice and 5 spice powder.

Third appertizer. Quail Sang Choi Bao - minced quail meat cooked together with chinese sausage, ****ake mushroom, bamboo shoots and spring onions; served in a lettuce leaf cup.

Third main course. Black Angus rib eye beef cooked medium rare, dressed in a black pepper sauce with seasonal vegetables.....

Dessert - Deep Fried Ice Cream (with Strawberry syrup) and Banana Fritters (with Toffee syrup).

two bags of what? Caviar?

All I bought was a small box of cereal, bread, two little bottles of tea, 4 smart one for breakfast and some watermelon and some pumpking seeds. Stupid belair prices, we dont have a cheap grocery store near us.:headache: Well if it had been caviar at least I would know why it cost that much.

PIO, you made all of those dishes for one dinner?

PIO were those dishes served in succession? Did everyone get one of each (except the Peking Duck where you got two)?

That's A LOT of food, but it looks yummy!

Well....I like cooking and all that....but.....we actually went out to dinner at a proper restaurant this time. So someone else made all those dishes for one dinner. :rotfl:

Yes. Those dishes were served in succession. We got there at 6.30 and the food started coming out shortly after 7.

We would have had 10 minutes between each course and we were done shortly after 10 pm.

And yes, everyone got one each. There was a much bigger platter that came out for each course with all the food on it. And the waiters plated it up individually. In the case of the crayfish, the food came out on 3 plates. One for the lobster, one for the noodles and a 3rd for the vegetables. It was actually easier to take the picture of my individual serves than trying to get in the way of the waiters.

And note that I said waiterS. When our food came out, we would have had 3 or 4 waiters around our table to serve and make sure everything was fine. In between when the food came out, there was always one or two of them keeping a very watchful eye on us; without being obtrusive.

One of the team is left handed. And when he sat down, we had drinks to begin. As soon as he picked up his glass, a waiter was round at his side within 30 seconds, shifting all the cutlery to the opposite side. No asking required.

I was drinking chinese tea and mineral water all night (driving home; although I did sip and taste the wine from my colleague's glass). I don't think any of us ever had empty cups or glasses.

And as is the custom here, no tipping required! So the service is all part of the experience for the Flower Drum.
