Ugh...somethin always comes up right before our trips...
Three years ago, 6 weeks out, fil dropped the hood of the bucket loader on his toes, breaking several, practically cutting off two, wound up in a cast for the trip. (Worked out alright, he's fine and dandy now
)
Last year, the day before we're to fly out, then 8yo says to me "mom, my ear hurts" Auuuuugh!!! Rush her to the dr who says "minor ear infection, if you weren't going on vaca, I wouldn't even give her antibiotics". This is the same child who's had double ear infections and never complained, the travel gods were working in our favor that trip. (Let's not mention the fact that I totally forgot to mention the big friggen bottle of liquid in our carry on
THAT was a fun moment at security)
Now, this year, she says to me two days ago, "mom, I've got another one of those bumps on my gum" Which, earlier this year, was an abcess between her baby tooth and adult, which resulted in antibiotics and yanking the baby tooth out. Not a big deal, really, but now we've got a dentist appt next Monday, which will probably result in her on antibiotics again this trip. Oy.
Come on September 19th.....
