This is like the second or third Christmas in a row that I've had some sort of sinus/chest/crud infection. About a week (or sometimes less) before Christmas, I have to go to the dr to get a script for the 'crud' that likes to settle in my chest and sinuses.

Not only do I bark like a seal, I have a very 'manly' raspy voice that my 2 yr old says is 'scary'. And I'm on these huge horse pills...Biaxin, I think?

I can't visit FIL who just had bypass surgery, and I hope I'm well enough to start the family fesitivities that start on Monday....(((sigh))).

Anyways...anyone else get sick right before the holidays?

christmas falls at a very bad time of year! ;)
someone is always sick, just got over being sick, or is getting sick.....
in my house my dgd4months is trying to get over rsv, her mom has a chest cold, her dad has more of a stomach virus plus getting the cold, dd10 just got over her cold, and i'm sure me and dd14 will be getting something just in time for christmas.
plus we have to stay away from my grandma when we are sick in any way. she's 100 and we are very cautious with her!!

hope you get to feeling better soon! we all deserve to be healthy and happy at christmas!!

:wave2: Me. Mine just started a day or two ago. Nothing bad, just congestion.

Now, it's full blown. Drainage. Sinus pressure. My jaw teeth hurt from the pressure, if I don't take a decongestant as soon as I can. Watery eyes. Sore scratchy throat. Fatigue.

No fun. At least I've done all the Christmas and grocery shopping (for now). Hopefully this will pass soon. I usually get a sinus infection from this kind of thing though. Ugh.

Mine started out the same way. I kept on 'just going on' with everything, thinking it was allergies or a cold (both my DS's have had colds) and would get better. But nope...got hard to breath, ears started hurting. My head would 'pound' when I'd lean forward. I finally went to the dr on Friday. A sinus infection with another infection starting in my chest.

I hope you start to feel better, also!

I caught a nasty chest cold yesterday. Last year I had the flu right about now. I'm not feeling too bad, just coughing a lot and my voice is gone. I'm feeling positive that it will be all gone by Christmas Eve.:goodvibes knock on wood

Do you have a real Christmas tree? I was always sick with a sinus/upper respiratory infection at Christmas. A few years back we bought a fake tree. Haven't been sick at Christmas since! Turns out I was allergic to the real tree. Who knew??:confused3

Hope you feel better fast.

Thanks. Hope you have a speedy recovery too.

My ears hurt some now, even after taking the decongestant. They pop when I swallow. I'm going to look for something stronger. I think I have some Vicks extreme cold/decongestant. It's an orange liquid, not the best tasting stuff. But if I can get some relief, I'll take it.
