Sorry it has been so long but if you read Rosie's Thread you know I escaped for a few days to the World.
Just had to do it. Now on the work front , probably the yuckiest 24 hrs ever, Leading a training that was supposed to be 6:30-9:30 and we got out of there at midnight. Then to be back at work by 6:30am. So 3 hours sleep. Have a I said how much I hate May? Except when I am Disney World that it...

My dwarf name came out as "Healthy" -- I obviously answered something wrong!

Looks like you found a nice spot to wait out the rain. Dry anyway, and if you could charge your phone that was a plus. I couldn't figure out where you were from the first picture and I could tell that you were behind glass with rain droplets on it, but was having trouble coming up with where the train would come by so close.

Thanks for the pictures around New Fantasyland. I won't see it in person until 2015!

Oh yes while Cynthia made a run for it- so did I ....in the opposite direction, INSIDE. I knew as most Florida downpours are, it would pass and I ha nowhere pressing to be while I waited.

All the way to the back of the Tomorrowland arcade. Not the quietest place in the world but a round window seat and a view of the monsoon. Nice and Dry.

I will tell you with New Fantasyland all done it looks great.

WOW! That looks like the rain we had in June and August. I really think there should be a rule that no monsoons can happen when WE (that includes all of my DIS friends) are at Disney.

You got some great pictures while you waited for Enchanted Tales with Belle.

If I didn't know I was there in Dec., I would have guessed Summer storms.
I love the new area- so much to take pictures of.

Holy Monsoon! I finally hit consistent rain last october and I have to say that it finally made me miserable and I left. I was OVER it!

I love your gargoyle pictures. Fantastic. You got some great face shots! Nice work!

When you are in the World you are smiley that's how.

Oh yes Those work too!!! Right now I think they need more kiosks, especially in EPCOT, there are NONE in WORLD SHOWCASE.

Since there is almost always a Disney friend down there, that would pretty much assure them to remain monsoon-free.

Everything needs rain ..... just outside of park hours.

We had that a few summers ago. A tropical storm was sitting over Florida, and after a while, as happy and as positive as I think we are when we are in Disney World, it started to wear on us. Sloshing little girls through and around puddles and waiting in the rain in bus and queue lines kind of gets to you after a few days. When it finally stopped, the rest of the trip was fabulous.

I remember- all that rain and dreary weather really puts a damper on your mindset.

Hi Pat! I'm all caught up again! How fun that you had time to stroll through an empty WS and get such great pics. Taking time to see all of the storytellers is a nice Holidayish thing to do.

An empty WS was nice especially during the "insane busy" season.

Too bad MeMom was so sick. I remember someone posting and asking for prayers. What a horrible way to spend a trip. Sounds like she needs a do-over!

I bet she will be non-stop on her next trip. She sure did scare us.

Crazy rain at MK. Good thing you found a place to wait it out. I feel for those people on the People Mover - been there - don't want to do it again.

In the arcade I could move around and peek out, up there you are stuck.

I have been following your latest TR but I don't think I posted anything yet. I was quite a few pages behind but I'm caught up now.

Glad you are here - I am slow moving these days. Work has really piled it on and that has interfered with my DIS time.

Too bad the day was so dreary, but you got a lot done before the rain came.

I can't wait to get to finally see the New Fantasyland. I love that creek and waterfalls by the Beast's Castle, makes for a nice Photo spot.

I think I made pretty good use of all the tools I had to avoid the crowds. You just need to realize it will be crowded and have a plan .... and a back up plan.

New Fantasyland is beautiful. A job well done, worth waiting for.

Good Gracious all I seem to be doing is apologizing.... Trying to get a move on.

I finally made it and was waiting for a BOG dinner.

I had gone up the guard shack of sort to check in and I was a bit early- the guy told me he couldn’t check me in until like 5 or 10 minutes before – something silly. So I waited a bit until he was distracted, and then asked the girl standing there to check me and she did.

Hmppphhh Take that guard boy.


This guy was afraid he wasn’t going to get in.
He would not budge.

It was dark in there and with a very small table, I had nowhere to put the camera. So I put it away until after dinner. I did have the chef come out and tried out my new card with what I cannot eat and what I just should avoid on it and he liked it. I think it made it much easier for him to see it instead of me trying to talk to him in a crowded and in some places loud restaurant.


I know I tried the French onion soup and he had to make a modification for me, but it was okay.

I can’t remember what I even had. It was good and the service was good but obviously not very memorable. Probably either the steak or the pork chop. I know they would probably make it for me but I hate to put them out so I probably stayed away from the lamb and the braised meat just because I know there are too many allergens for me.

After dinner I walked around

I have sat in the ballroom twice and the West Wing once (the library has never been open in the evening when we are there). I like the West Wing a tad better because of the theme.

I don't recall seeing that sign over the monorail. But then we never took the monorail in December so that may be why.

I have so many that I can't even keep them all straight. I often focus one one item and forget another or don't even think a certain item can be in a food and lo and behold....

I can give it to the chef and he can take it. I have them separated like a stoplight, red for the items I can't have, yellow for the maybe but it depends how I am already feeling and how much of those items I have already had. and green for those things I have tested positive too but usually don't restrict unless I am already feeling "allergic" and need to limit everything.

I did have the onion soup but we had to make an adjustment. I found my serving okay. Not sure if it was the adjustment or not.

I may have a PP pic. I have not uploaded those- I guess I need look for one.

BOG is beautiful and with the decoration it made it a little more magical.

I have asked the chefs if the card helps and they all say yes. Most are wonderful about it and some just deal with it and are overly cautious, which is okay but they need to listen and read so I can actually eat something.

The Wave, Ohana and Rose and Crown were very good about listening.

You got to the room and washed your clothes all at the same time.

I have made the dash before and got soaked. AK from Guest Relations to the parking lot tot he car. Lucky it was parked up front but I was soaked.

I have but I want to push the buttons - I hated having the CM ask me what I wanted and then he pushed the buttons, I mean I can read- I will figure it out, he was not making it faster.

The lighting is so low it is really hard to get a somewhat decent picture in there ..... as you can see. I used the superzoom on the baby.

It is good when coming out at closing so you know to use the bathroom first before you get in line. I don't remember one for the ferry so not sure what you could weigh it against.
