I am bummed about the Fast Pass situation, too! Seems like whenever we would get a FP, it would be the time that we had a ressie for dinner! Then what? I'm thinking that they will have to make some concessions!!

I hope they have some flexibility for the FP system otherwise it just turns into a big hassle for guests and CMs.

I don't know how I feel about the FP thing. I saw that there was a 5 minute window before the time and a 15 minute window after where you can use it, but I feel like if you were at a meal or something during your time, they should make an exception for you. It'll probably end up being one of those things that depends on the CM. I'm sure it'll make for some interesting strategy changes around here!

Anyway, sounds like a fun day! I've been wanting to go to Garden Grill for a while! I hope yall like it.

We aren't the types who save up FP all day and then use a bunch in a row (not that there's anything wrong with that) but I like some freedom and spontaneity on vacation that we don't have to rush around to get back to the ride before the FP expires.

For your drink that day, it was a hard decision because I would love the Margarita flight at Brown Derby BUT my vote is...Space Monkey - chocolate shake, Malibu rum, and banana liqueur

I never road ToT at night so that is my plan for my next trip.

I think you will really enjoy the China movie. We saw it for the first time on our last visit and the scenary was beautiful!
Can't wait to hear how you like La Hacienda - we have ressies there too.
Envying your ride on Test Track - my guys are SO bummed that it will be closed on our visit.

Well Caitlin may have her La Hacienda drink picked out but may I suggest the mango blueberry margarita there. It is amazing! Notice a trend here with my drink selections!

I am totally bummed about the FP windows. I'm not gonna lie - in the summer I tended to get them during the day and go back and use them at night. It's going to be tough to use them in the time frame. I'm bummed because I love getting BTMMR and splash FPs and using them at night. I don't go crazy on them, but I would say 50% of my FP's are used after the time frame. Bummer.

I'm not sure what she plans on having but your suggestion is noted I know she is waiting until her dd is there before she tries his favorite Jalapeno Maragarita.

All of your plans sound great! I have never been in early march so I am curious to hear about what it is like then I am totally with you on being bummed about the whole FP thing! I really think this isn't one of disney better ideas but whatever floats there boat. Last time I was in disney there was some issues with the fastpass lines being super long at certain points in the day (like after dinner) so I am wondering if that has something to do with those problems. either way I am not happy about it. Not having to be ocd about making sure we ride the ride in our designated time slot made for a more relaxed trip over all.

I'm excited to hear all about what caitlin thinks of all of the disney drinks! I'm not 21 yet but I will be 21 in may and since i probably won't be back at disney before my birthday my next trip will be like this trip for caitlin.

Your world showcase plans sound great! i love the canada show! Martin short is HILLARIOUS!!!!! I also am a big fan of the canada song! I am singing it 2 myself right now as I am typing this I went to the china show once when i was younger but I think the last time I was there was like 8-10 years ago. We've been in late Feb before and it's usually pretty cold for Florida but cold for Florida is still warmer than Michigan
Caitlin is super excited to be 21 at Disney. She reads so many TRs and has read about so many different adult beverages she can't wait to try them.

I'm not expecting to be overwhelmed by the movie in China but it seems like we should see it at least once

Dale and I went to the French film a couple years ago and found it hilarious how out of date it is. They really need to update that one and Norway's.

I never knew before the Dis that you could use your FP at a different time. We are usually there right in the beginning of our window, but I can see how it might annoy some people. Back before I knew I missed Winnie the Pooh b/c the parade was showing. I never thought to use the FP after. I am sure many people will have to pick FP or parade/adr and not be happy about it.

I think we scheduled Via Napoli, but somehow ended up at Captain's Grill that night. I love the characters that are there but not sure about the menu. I hope you like it so I'll feel better about booking it next time.

He is a great dad and husband and hopefully we spoiling him in Oct will make up for us going without him again.

The rule was that although they stated a return time the FP could be used anytime the rest of the same day. It makes sense because of adrs, rides breaking down etc I do think there will be a lot of unhappy people and a lot of unhappy CMs who have to deal with them.

Since I am a Disney TA I am trying hard to eat at as many different restaurants as I can and stay in all the resorts at least once. Hopefully GG will prove to be a good choice

I am really bummed about the new FP rule! I accidentally hit "like" on Touring Plans Facebook post about it and frantically went about deleting. I didn't want anyone to think I liked it even for a moment! We don't always collect but sometimes the time we pull isn't convenient...in the middle of an ADR time or a show we want to see. And some like TSMM are such a hot commodity that you can't just leave and come back to grab a later time! I liked the flexibility of going later if we needed. And having the three mountains at night was always fun!! Whoo, what a vent!

We saw the China movie for the first time last year. While I wouldn't say it is knock your socks off wow it was pretty interesting and we enjoyed it. We loved the Canadian movie! I always chuckle at the end of the Norway movie where the couple is sitting next to a lake and the little boy runs by....so early 90's!!

Loving this day's plans!!

That's so funny that you were worried people would think you "liked" that I was on Mousejunkies on Facebook and most people were all for enforcing it and very condescending to people who dared to say they used fast passes after the window "expired". It's a very heated Disney issue

I'm not expecting too much from the China film but it seems like we should see it once anyway. Norway and France need to be updated
