You realize this takes the light thing to a whole new level, right?

I can't believe you're at the end of your trip! And I see you've added a ticker so I guess you were doing more than sneaking May dates in the other day....:rotfl:

Wish I were going too!

Hi Lady Lallie! After days and days of reading your TR I am finally caught up! :goodvibes I love all of your pictures, you have a good eye for seeing different angles.
As you saw on BellaSwan's report I have now caught the Light Bug! I am so blown away at the detail and effort that goes into each aspect of Disney. I think the next time we go I will have to take twice as many photos! Just taking random shots, asorbing it all in pictures.
I'm glad you are starting a new trip list! Is there any other way to get a trip going?! :confused3 I am also a huge list maker and the crazy thing is that I will add things I've done to the list just so I can mark them off! :scared1: Did I just admit to doing that??? That's a bit scary! ;)

LL, your photopass pics are so cute! And I have a 1900 Park Fare dinner ressie so I've GOT to hear about this...

You should have seen Marc's face when I showed him the shirt. Then he said, "I have never seen a shirt that is more you than this one." :lmao:

Thanks for joining in and reading!! I totally do that with list making too. I put things on there that I have already done just so I can cross them off, makes me feel way more accomplished! :lmao: There will be many trip lists coming up as my new PTR starts!! :rolleyes1

LL, your photopass pics are so cute! And I have a 1900 Park Fare dinner ressie so I've GOT to hear about this...
Thank you, Lara! You will hear about it soon. :thumbsup2

First things first... have you bought the shirt yet? It is very you, Ms. Wonders of Light Fixtures. :goodvibes

Now back to your trip. Great updates and photos, as always. You do definitely have an eye.

Did you like the WL pool? I heard on the DIS podcast the other day they were describing it as small and it certainly looks small in your picture. But maybe your picture is just one part of the pool? I'm not sure they could fit 5 lifeguards around it!

Beach Club also had ducks swimming in the pool. Kids were getting a big kick out of it but I had the same thought re: sanitation. I guess the amount of chlorine just cancels everything out?

I've heard great things about Roaring Forks. I SO have to go to WL some day.

Sorry you couldn't find the shelf at the train station. I actually hadn't heard of it. I'll have to get those field guides.

The comments of that couple in Crystal Palace is funny. Annoyed by wild kids? And you're in WDW?? At a character meal?? ;)

I haven't bought the shirt yet. I am trying to be good with my budget but it's so hard to resist. How cute would I look in May snapping light fixture pictures in that shirt? :cloud9:

That is half of the pool in my picture. This is a better picture but still not the entire pool.
2868312207_cff2084e1a.jpg

I kept telling myself that if I could swim in lakes in Maine then I could handle a couple of ducks in a chlorine infused pool. :lmao:

I adored Roaring Fork, it didn't have the variety of the Pop food court but I enjoyed it a lot on the two times we ate there. The quiet alone was worth it. :lmao:

We had a 1900 park fare ADR I cancelled as well. It was for lunch and we had seen Alice already.

I like Marc's villan T-shirt he wore for the party.

I agree with you about the deserts at the CP. "Meh" is a good description for them. However, Piglet and Eeoyre are Poolicious and worth putting up with the deserts.

Sometimes budgets are meant to be broken. That T-shirt is totally meant for you. Do you want us to contact Marc so he can get it for you for Christmas?

I'm with Marc about climbing up that Tree House....I'd rather have a Dole Whip anyday!

OK, I know I always say this when I post on your TR but man, your pictures are AWESOME!!!!! The Wilderness Lodge ones are so cool.

Shame on people for cancelling 1900 PF...it's got to be one of the best (if not the best) buffet on property! ;) :rotfl2:

Day 7. Part 2.

After our photopass session, we went off to Fantasyland to get our picture with Cinderella's Pumpkin Coach. We had seen them setting it up while waiting in line for Peter Pan before dinner. It wasn't a long wait, maybe 10 minutes. At this point they had just started checking wristbands for the MNSSHP.

The coach is just beautiful. Stunning really. The photopass CM was delightful as well, lots of fun while taking our pictures.

After our picture, we headed back through Fantasyland. There were NO WAIT for Dumbo! No wait! Can you imagine? I have never been on Dumbo so I was all about Dumbo. Marc was less than enthusiastic but we asked for our own Dumbo's and away we went! I fit well and I could fit with a small child with no problem. I had fun. It was the inner LL child! Marc had camera duty during the ride because I had wanted my pic while flying high!

2869370729_2d7e1fd916.jpg

Because no TR would be complete without Dumbo's Butt.

2869372191_53ed7588c9.jpg

Look how empty Fantasyland is! This was just after 7PM too!
2870199884_cfc8da0503.jpg

Afterwards I had to get a picture of my "wild animal". Hehehe.

2869373485_18e8cf6471.jpg

2869373829_868278803e.jpg

We saw Pooh & Eeyore greeting but the line was enormous so we skipped it. I loved loved Eeyore's costume, he was just adorable.

2870201544_c60f8210be.jpg

We saw a dance party going on which is just a super cute idea but Marc didn't feel like dancing. We headed over to Toontown. I was on a mission to find Merlin. I had heard that he would sometimes be out for MNSSHP. All night we asked and all night we were told that they didn't know if he was out. Grrr. We searched every character spot too. I was very sad about this. I really wanted a picture of him and me for my dad!

We walked through Alice's Treat Trail but it was mobbed so we skipped the treat lines and just walked along looking at the characters from a distance.

2869374619_c3fec35377.jpg

In Tomorrowland we rode The Transit Authority. So relaxing. It was the end of our trip and we were exhausted even though we hadn't done much all day.

As we were getting off The Transit Authority, I spotted a character that I wanted to meet. I practically jumped off, made my way down to the area near Carousel of Progress to meet.....

STITCH!

I love Stitch. He's the cutest! It was a very small line and I was probably 3 people back. I had that nervous feel when you really really want something to happen but are afraid your hopes will be dashed at any moment. Well as I am in line the Character Handler annoucnes "At any moment, Stitch will be going "somewhere I can't remember what they said" and Pluto will be coming out. :scared1:

Luckily at this point I am at the front of the line. When I hear from behind me coming from the treat stop on the Carousel of Progress platform..."Look "Blankity Blank" there's Stitch, go up and see him."

Say What!?!?! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

I love kids, I want kids, I have worked with kids in many different settings but that little girl was not going to cut me in line when I was next and had patiently waited my turn. I hear Marc pfffft in my ear and I start to walk up to Stitch and say, "There's a line back there." And smile my charming LL smile.

The look the Mom gave me was priceless. Like how dare I make her daughter wait her turn. I am sorry. I pay just as much money to be at Disney as everyone else and I wanted to meet Stitch and I was not going to let a 8 or 9 year old girl cut her way in line just because she's a kid. Is that mean? This wasn't the first time people had let their kids cut in front of me or elbowed their way in to get their kids "just some mashed potatoes" at Crystal Palace and normally I wouldn't say anything but enough was enough. Wait your own turn!!

This is also the point where we musing the Trip Report Title "Just because I don't have kids doesn't mean I don't want my picture taken with characters." Luckily my bitterness had faded a bit once I got home to start the TR.

2869378245_0e2cf8150e.jpg

Stitch was great, you can see that he was tickling my ear. As I was walking away, I saw that the Mom and daughter had weaseled their way into being next to greet Stitch even though there had been a line behind me.

After Stitch, we walked onto Buzz Lightyear. This was one ride were it was a bit tight. We sat together and we had trouble getting the bar to latch. I think it would have been better if we rode separately.

After riding Toy Story Mania, we were both so disappointed in Buzz. I don't even remember our scores. I know Marc won.

Here is our photo of a photo. You can really sense my enthusiasm.
2869378589_5c742d61e6.jpg

We walked back through Fantasyland hoping that maybe we might catch Merlin but no such luck. We went back to Liberty Square and had our picture with the Carriage. There was quite a line there but it was worth it. There was a lady ghost in front of the HM that was awesome. She was playing a southern belle ghost type character and she was hilarious. She came down for a break and she was taking pictures with people she was gone by the time we got out of the line. I have seen her in pictures with others here on the DIS and I wish I had gotten one with her. She was great. When she was taking pictures with people she kept saying, "It's really hard to make myself solid." "Don't squeeze to hard Darling, I am a ghost."

2869432443_00fcf0cc4d.jpg

For this picture the CM says, "Pretend your MIL is moving in with you." What is he, a freaking mind reader. Talk about a scary thought! I snort laughed before striking a pose.
2869432855_82d05de756.jpg

We headed back towards Adventureland where we ran into the parade. We stopped for a bit and watched. I didn't take out my camera because I knew we were going to watch the later on. I am glad we had run across it because I was able to see TK's Captain Jack and the Villain float.

In Adventureland we saw Genie & Abu. They had a great character handler, she was really on her game, getting the camera from the next people in line so she could hand it to the photopass and she was just really very friendly.

2870260440_e26772f362.jpg

We went and walked on Pirates and we were even able to have our own boat. It was awesome to be able to chat with Marc during the ride and not feel like you were disturbing the other people in the boat.

We went pass the character greeting area with Tarzan and characters but we decided to pass because we wanted to get a decent spot for Hallowishes.

I found a bench on the way into the Castle hub. It gave us a good view of the castle even if it was off to the side a bit. Marc went to go get some drinks while I claimed our spot.

During the whole party there were a lot of Disney Cast Members in business clothes as well as a lot of technical people running around making sure everything was going smoothly. I attribute this to being the first MNSSHP of the year. While I was waiting for Marc I saw them making a Ghost Mickey Balloon blow up and light up. Then I was bummed because they didn't turn him out for the fireworks but it wasn't too distracting.

Day 7. Part 2. Continued.

Hallowishes started and it was fantastic. After about a minute of it starting, I handed the camera to Marc. I had missed out on enjoying Wishes because I was so buy taking pictures so Marc was willing to do camera duty. I preferred Hallowishes over Wishes but I am not sure if that's because I was distracted. I adore listening to the Hallowishes music on my Special Events CD.

Marc's firework pictures.

After the fireworks we sat for a bit and then headed towards Main Street to find a spot for Boo to You Parade.

Photopass along the way.

2869434621_2202742005.jpg

I was thinking about watching the parade from the Train Station. I explained this to Marc. He wanted to get something from Casey's for us to nosh on while we were waiting for the parade. I told him I would meet him at the Train Station. He was very nervous, I still am not sure about what but I made my way over and was able to snag a table and two chairs at the train station.

This gives you some idea of our view.

I love the way they light Main Street for the party. So Halloween-ish!

2869391203_4b02d02a05.jpg

Marc got us a corn dog nugget meal to split. So very yummy.
2869391905_3438227da3.jpg

I knew the Headless Horseman came first. I was very disappointed that we were given no warning about the horseman. I thought they would play some music to mark his entrance but they didn't. He was very cool but I wasn't prepared with the camera.
2869393963_53d5104afb.jpg

After the Headless Horseman we noticed that there was almost no one on the sidewalks on Main Street. We decided to move down there.

Our New View.

Day 7. Part 2. Continued.

I think the HM parts were my favorite.

Now we had seen the end of the other parade. After HM came the Villains. There were no Villains! No picture of Ursula for LL! Goofy was next and we had seen how Goofy was the end of the parade before. We ended up leaving after the parade because we were so exhausted. I wish we had stayed until the end but it was about 11 so we stayed almost to the end. I am still wondering if the Villains were behind Goofy and I just missed them. Sigh.

On the way out, a nice CM offered to take our picture out in front after she gave us some yummy ghiradelli chocolate.

2870250848_7d71ae4a73.jpg

We loaded up on the boat, there was a group dressed as Cruella DeVil and all the kids were the puppies. Cutest costume of the night.

Picture from the boat.
2869424271_8ce717842a.jpg

It wasn't a full boat, so it was a nice and relaxing ride. The CM's on the boat were radioing with another boat on the lake and they started racing each other. It was kinda fun to see the Disney CM's having so much fun, then our boat had to stop because the Steamboat cut us off. :lmao: I am all about safety and I felt perfectly safe the whole time so they weren't being reckless, just having fun.

We got back to WL and headed to our room. I had to take a picture of the beaver in the elevator. I love that the railing looks like a giant stick.

2869425951_17c1a55db1.jpg

We went for a swim again. The pool was pretty much empty. This night our swim was very chilly. Marc was fine but I was freezing so I didn't last long.

It was a bittersweet night, our last night in Disney....

Coming Up...
Our Last Day.
A Perfect Surprise.

Ahhh... you know how I feel about Sunday updates! :goodvibes Sounds like it was a beautiful last day in Disney.

So glad you got to ride Dumbo. I haven't ridden in years... may have to fix that!

Sorry you couldn't find Merlin!

What's up w/ the rude lady at Stitch? Everyone knows there are lines!

Marc got great fireworks photos!

Didn't you love Boo to You? I also thought that the Haunted Mansion was the best part. I especially liked the grave diggers!

I've mentioned this before but I like your night swimming tradition!

Can't wait to hear what the perfect surprise is!

Great update... again!! You should get Marc his own camera... he did pretty good! If both of you are snapping away... the stuff you get in photos will be BEYOND awesomeness!!

I'm glad you enjoyed the party! Wonder what was up with the Villian float:confused3 Kinda wierd. It is nice that you got such primo spots though:thumbsup2

I have 3 kids.... I could not imagine trying to butt them in front of a character pic line:scared1: ... shoot it takes me at least 5 people in front of us to get organized!! Camera...check autograph book...check pen...check get your hair out of your eyes....check let me hold your ice cream... check!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Such a fun update. I really wish we had walked around during MNSSHP more...we never even went over to Fantasyland and we cleary missed a lot...like the carriage :sad2: LOVE the pic of you on Dumbo!!!!

I so glad that the weather cleared up for your MNSSHP night.

I can't believe how empty it was in Adventureland! That's awesome!

Yay for your first ride on Dumbo! I still haven't been on Dumbo...maybe this time!

I'm sad that it's your last night! I want your TR to keep going!!!

Another great update! I look for to Sundays with you guys! Your pictures are the best!
