It's a Jolly Holiday with LL. *FINISHED* Final Update on pg. 58.

Great updates! The last day is so hard! I love the T-Shirt. :) Did you buy it? Your MNSSHP pictures are great. It looked like it wasn't that crowded. We didn't get to see the headless horseman because it was raining. I love the CM's Halloween costumes too! They were so cute! :cloud9: We had some issues with line cutters as well. I am glad you got your picture with Stich. I didn't see Merlin when we were there either. I am sad to see your TR coming to an end. Will you be doing a PTR soon?

We had a 1900 park fare ADR I cancelled as well. It was for lunch and we had seen Alice already.

I like Marc's villan T-shirt he wore for the party.

I agree with you about the deserts at the CP. "Meh" is a good description for them. However, Piglet and Eeoyre are Poolicious and worth putting up with the deserts.

Sometimes budgets are meant to be broken. That T-shirt is totally meant for you. Do you want us to contact Marc so he can get it for you for Christmas?
:lmao: I think I am going to have to break down and order it. I keep looking at it on their website. :lmao:

I'm with Marc about climbing up that Tree House....I'd rather have a Dole Whip anyday!
I enjoyed the Dole Whip for sure, but I have a weakness for Swiss Family Robinson.

OK, I know I always say this when I post on your TR but man, your pictures are AWESOME!!!!! The Wilderness Lodge ones are so cool.
Thank you so much! You are getting so close to your trip.

Shame on people for cancelling 1900 PF...it's got to be one of the best (if not the best) buffet on property! ;) :rotfl2:
Yes but I had my own brand of pixie dust the next morning. :wizard:

Ahhh... you know how I feel about Sunday updates! :goodvibes Sounds like it was a beautiful last day in Disney.

So glad you got to ride Dumbo. I haven't ridden in years... may have to fix that!

Sorry you couldn't find Merlin!

What's up w/ the rude lady at Stitch? Everyone knows there are lines!

Marc got great fireworks photos!

Didn't you love Boo to You? I also thought that the Haunted Mansion was the best part. I especially liked the grave diggers!

I've mentioned this before but I like your night swimming tradition!

Can't wait to hear what the perfect surprise is!
MNSSHP was just great. I loved that we got to ride Dumbo, no way would I wait in line for it but it was fun to walk on. The rude lady was ridiculous. The grave diggers were awesome! They were the best part of the parade I think.

Great update... again!! You should get Marc his own camera... he did pretty good! If both of you are snapping away... the stuff you get in photos will be BEYOND awesomeness!!

I'm glad you enjoyed the party! Wonder what was up with the Villian float:confused3 Kinda wierd. It is nice that you got such primo spots though:thumbsup2

I have 3 kids.... I could not imagine trying to butt them in front of a character pic line:scared1: ... shoot it takes me at least 5 people in front of us to get organized!! Camera...check autograph book...check pen...check get your hair out of your eyes....check let me hold your ice cream... check!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
It's not a bad idea to get Marc his own point and shoot! The primo parade spots were awesome. The Characters connect to you more too I think.
Too funny about getting organized in line! :lmao:

Such a fun update. I really wish we had walked around during MNSSHP more...we never even went over to Fantasyland and we cleary missed a lot...like the carriage :sad2: LOVE the pic of you on Dumbo!!!!

I so glad that the weather cleared up for your MNSSHP night.
I was a bit worried about the weather but we were very lucky.

I can't believe how empty it was in Adventureland! That's awesome!

Yay for your first ride on Dumbo! I still haven't been on Dumbo...maybe this time!

I'm sad that it's your last night! I want your TR to keep going!!!
You can just join me on the PTR. ;) I still have have souvies and such to post too so it's not over yet.

Another great update! I look for to Sundays with you guys! Your pictures are the best!
Thanks! I think your pictures are pretty darn good too!

I love seeing Disney at Halloween!
I was worried about seeing the MK "dressed up" but I really enjoyed it.

The picture of you on Dumbo is great, you look like you are having a blast! I have not been on that ride in years because the line is always so long. And I totally agree with you about people trying to butt in line with kids - drives me crazy. I am glad you didn't let that woman cut in front of you.
The picture of you guys looking totally bored on Buzz Lightyear is so funny

Okay, I was totally going to multi-quote, but I got overwhelmed by all the beautiful photos. I'll try to sum up!

One, I can't believe this little shindig is almost over. Bummer! But I am so excited about your May trip, that's awesome.

I love your photos from the party, and good for you for standing your ground in character lines. I'm amazed sometimes when there's a lack of consideration for other people, regardless of age. If I try to teach my DS that he needs to take turns, adults should do it too! :lmao:

Alright, I don't mean to toot my own horn here, but I love how Marc's shirt came out. It looks so good on him! I hope he'll wear it again at some point. :goodvibes

And I love the part of the parade with the Haunted Mansion guys, too. I love the noises their shovels make as they dance and clang them against each other and then scrape them on the ground. I can picture it in my head clearly every time I listen to the CD.

It goes without saying that I love the pirate float. ;)

Great updates, as usual, LL! I looooooooooooved MNSSHP. I want to do TWO next time I go! I can't believe how bare the streets looked. What a wonderful time to go!

Another great update to cozy up with this morning!

Pushy parents irritate me -- there is no cause for it!

YOU GOT A CINDERELLA COACH PICTURE AND A HAUNTED MANSION PICTURE! I am so jealous! They turned out great!

The Haunted Mansion portion of the Boo to You parade is my favorite part, too. I love how the gravediggers make their shovels spark on the pavement!

Your coach and HM pictures are wonderful! I so wanted to get one of those last year when I went, but lines were crazy. So glad that you had a good time. Boo To You parade is one of my favorites. I love the goulish dancers. So cool.

I have never been at Halloween due to DS school-but after seeing your pictures I want to go so bad. DS was looking with me last night and wanted to know if we would get to see that parade in December-I had to break the news to him that I didnt really think they would have a Halloween parade at Christmas time:confused3 ! He was bummed!!!

You are going to have to remind me again---which week you took this lovely adventure---seeing all the pics of an empty MK and the lack of lines makes me SO long to go back during September again---I loved our 2006 September trip---thanks for the pics of the MNSSHP!!! I've never been to it, but loved living vicariously through your pictures!!! HEY---I have some Lane Bryant coupons you could use to get your shirt if you are interested---I'm sure I could PM you the details/info in case you are interested!!!! ;o)

Great updates LL!

I agree with everyone, you have to have that t-shirt!

You mentioned that you have a Mary Poppins shirt? Can I ask you about it? I'm always looking for one and can never find one. Thanks! :goodvibes

I can't believe it's almost over too, I have been thinking of ways to prolong it. :lmao:
Oh I believe Marc really loved his villain shirt too, especially after everyone kept commenting on how awesome it was. I am sure he will wear it again in May.

Great updates, as usual, LL! I looooooooooooved MNSSHP. I want to do TWO next time I go! I can't believe how bare the streets looked. What a wonderful time to go!
MNSSHP really was great and I can't wait to try more of the parties.

The gravediggers are really awesome. I tried getting a picture of the sparks but it just wasn't timed right.

Your coach and HM pictures are wonderful! I so wanted to get one of those last year when I went, but lines were crazy. So glad that you had a good time. Boo To You parade is one of my favorites. I love the goulish dancers. So cool.
I have Boo to You stuck in my head now after thinking about the parade. :rotfl2:

Awww, that's too bad. I had a great time and I really couldn't believe how few people were there the whole week.

You are going to have to remind me again---which week you took this lovely adventure---seeing all the pics of an empty MK and the lack of lines makes me SO long to go back during September again---I loved our 2006 September trip---thanks for the pics of the MNSSHP!!! August 30 - September 6th. It was Labor Day week. I actually had a coupon from them that's what made me order it. :rolleyes1

Great updates LL!

I agree with everyone, you have to have that t-shirt!

You mentioned that you have a Mary Poppins shirt? Can I ask you about it? I'm always looking for one and can never find one. Thanks! :goodvibes
I actually made the Mary Poppins shirt with a design I found on the Disboards. I wore it the next day so you will see it coming right up. I believe I still have the graphic too if you would want me to email it to you.

Another great update! I love your pictures!! :)
Thank you so much! :goodvibes

Now don't you think for a moment, young lady, that I didn't notice the lamp picture squeezed in between all the neato Halloween MK pictures...! :rotfl:

LOVE your photos!!! :goodvibes

I have also decided I simply must fork over the dough for MNSSHP in the future. That parade looks like the bomb diggity!

The party was so much fun and can't you get an AP discount in the very near future?? :rolleyes1

Day 8. Part 1. *Our Last Day*

I can't believe I have reached our last day. I have had so much fun writing this Trip Report that I don't want it to end yet I have to share our last day because it had such a magical moment.

I awoke with a heavy heart in the morning. I didn't update my notes to include our last day because real life intruded so I am going off of memory. I believe we slept in until around 10AM or so. We had arranged the day before for a late checkout until 1PM I think. We slowly packed up and said goodbye to our Wilderness Lodge haven. It was such a great room. I'm a little sad that I won't see the WL on our trip in May but know it will be there in December.

I said goodbye to our little Tweet Tweet Birdie friend. I was tempted to take Birdie with us but I resisted.

I love Birdie so much that Marc indulged me with a photo session.

As you can see even though I had decided to cancel 1900 Park Fare that I wore my Mary Poppins shirt that I had saved to wear on our departure day.

Here is a close up of the Poppins shirt, I found this on the DISigns board.

We had an ADR for Tony's before 1PM but I don't remember when exactly. We had to catch Magical Express by 3:30PM I believe. Wow, thank goodness I took notes for the rest of the days or this would have been a really crummy Trip Report. We left our room, checked our luggage with luggage services and headed to the boat for our last look at Magic Kingdom.

IMG_2287.jpg

When we got to the MK we decided to take a last loop on the Train before checking in at Tony's.
IMG_2288.jpg

IMG_2289.jpg

I got a decent shot of Goofy from the Frontierland train stop. This is new greeting area I have read between Splash and Big Thunder.

IMG_2296.jpg

At the Frontierland stop a woman with the "Best Mullet Ever" according to Marc got on. He made me take a picture and I feel badly about this and I am refusing to post the picture now. Marc is angry at me but I don't care. He says that if there was a Mullet Hall of Fame that this woman would be in it.

After our Train Ride we decided to check in at Tony's.
IMG_2301.jpg

As Marc was checking in I wandered over to the area where they do the BBB photo shoots of the little girls. There was the cutest little girl dressed up as Jasmine. As I am watching who do I spot?

.........

I have to say just thinking about this and typing it up make tears come to my eyes. It was that magical.

.........

It was.....Mary Poppins!! :lovestruc :lovestruc

I was simply dumbstruck. Marc had just finished checking in, I yelled his name and pointed frantically. He ran over and took the camera from me.

She was walking outside for a character greeting and I stopped her and said, "Could I please get my picture with you since I am wearing my Mary Poppins shirt?"

Well would you know it, it was the same Mary Poppins that I had in Epcot! She stopped and read my shirt and told me that it was indeed Practically Perfect. :cloud9: The character handler even read my shirt and said it wasn't everyday that you see someone wearing a Mary Poppins shirt!! :lovestruc

I was content with taking the picture in that aisle between the photo set ups in the back of Exposition Hall but not Mary Poppins! She pulled me over to wear they had the Carousel Horse Background. Seriously guys, I am fighting back the tears as I write this. It was like a dream come true! Mary determines this is the perfect spot and gives Marc the go ahead to take some pictures.

Here is the shot from Epcot Day. It's the same one!

I was so thrilled and Mary Poppins was great. She had the perfect accent and when I told her she was my favorite she was just so nice and didn't rush me at all. It was the PERFECT ending to our Disney Trip. :cloud9:

When I ordered my photopass cd from Disney, I even uploaded some of these Mary Poppins pictures and had them printed out with a special Disney glitter border. I have one hanging up at home and one at work. It was my magical moment.

When Mary Poppins left to go outside, I was on cloud nine. I was in a daze and Marc ushered me over to the waiting area at Tony's and had me sit down. I remember just sitting there with the biggest, goofiest grin on my face. Marc said, "That made your trip didn't it?" And I said, "It was magic."

Sigh.

I can't wait to go back. I am going to lengthen this last day out a bit so I'm keeping it to a shorter update.

Coming Up....
Lunch at Tony's
Some very important Wilderness Lodge residents!

Awww, LL how supercala... ok I'm not spelling it... how awesomely wonderful for you!

Of course it is the same one! There is only one! :rotfl:
