It's a Jolly Holiday with LL. *FINISHED* Final Update on pg. 58.

We walked through the hub and over to the Liberty Square bridge for more Castle photos. This was when DH started making cracks about 500 Castle pictures. I told him this was the first time I had seen the Castle at night so shush....but not as nicely as that. DH shushed. He didn't realize and told me to snap away. And I did.

After I pulled myself away from the beautiful Castle, we headed over to Adventureland. I only have one picture from that.

We went on the Jungle Cruise. It was much better since it was at night. We had about a 15 minute wait. Not too bad. Our CM was funny and witty and he is what made the ride. I think it's worth trying at night. Sadly no pictures.

We headed back over to Liberty Square since it was almost time for the first Spectro at 9PM and our Liberty Tree Tavern ADR at 9:20PM. We didn't want to get stuck and not able to get over there.

We checked in early at 8:50 thinking we would get a table early. Not quite. It was a long wait but it was crowded. I was amazed at the people who were being turned away.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of LTT. Very colonial. I love anything that is slightly historical.

I was able to see some Spectro as we were still waiting when it went by.

I stopped watching at this point and sat on a bench because I wanted to see the rest of the parade at 11PM. As I was watching, I did get a little teary eyed. I'm just an ol' sap.

We were finally called in at 9:40PM. We were brought into one of the back rooms. I really enjoyed this meal. There was a nice family of 5 sitting next to us and the little girls were just as excited as I was for Colonial Minnie to come out and greet us!

These beauties were in the dining areas.

Chip came over first, followed by our delicious salad!

Our yummy rolls with honey butter.
2868115410_dacdc61d9a.jpg

Dale made his way over next.
2867284527_0359edd532.jpg

Then Goofy. After I saw this picture, I made sure to tell DH to take two pictures from now on incase of closed eyes!
2867285829_90b6916a4e.jpg

The Roast Beef was so good. We had seconds of only that. THe only complaint I have from LTT is the table was too small to hold all the platters and drinks! We didn't really like the ham either but neither of us are huge ham eaters so there you go.
2868121254_41fa1a663a.jpg

Minnie! The whole reason I booked this dinner, Colonial Minnie. She was very sweet and I just adored her!
2868125748_751ffb3824.jpg

DH was sandwiched in the booth and this was the only character he got up for.
2867294527_9414010517.jpg

Apple Cobbler with Ice Cream. This was good but this was about all we ate, we were stuffed from the other yummy food.
2868129582_8a73cf77f5.jpg

We ended up buying two of the LTT mugs. On the menu they were listed at $8.19 but they only charged us $5 each. I was so excited. I really enjoy drinking out of the mugs.

I was trying to finish up our second day but I have run out of steam. With all the pictures to link up, it takes forever! Hopefully the next update will finish up our first full day!

LL, pardon the pun but you are really "turning me on" to the light fixtures of WDW! I especially like the lanterns in Belle's area. I'm not sure I've even been in that area before- will have to check it out next time.

Sorry the paw prints weren't what you were hoping for... didn't you have something special planned for a photo of them?

You really got some fantastic photos. Truly. You should definitely do the photography course you mentioned. I think you have a knack for it. And of course WDW as your subject matter doesn't hurt! ;) Have you checked out the Magic in Pixels site? Lots of WDW & general photography tips.

LTT looks fun. It's too bad that they are ending the character meals there. Glad you were able to do it.

OH! Almost forgot... LOVE the Carousel of Progress pictures. That CM is nuts-- who would nap in there?! It's one of my all time favorites. And now you have me humming "great big beautiful tomorrow"... thanks a lot ;)

There's a great big beautiful tomorrow....

Fun update. Love all the pictures. I took a ton of castle ones too and I've seen the castle at everytime of day. Castle just makes such a nice subject!!! I didn't take a picture of the Belle area so I think I'm going to steal that one from you! Oh and the COP pics. I competely forgot to switch my lenses out so I could shoot in there and it turned out to be one of DD's favorites. She was disappointed that we wouldn't spend valuable MNSSHP time doing it again!

I've been away on a business trip and missed 7+ pages of trip reporting! :scared: I tried to take notes on what I wanted to comment on but forgive me if I missed anything. I loved all 7 pages!!

Love, love, LOVE that you and CP have a 2010 list! :goodvibes Now I need one. Peer pressure. ;)

You changed around the pix in your signature. I like the one of DH with the fez and the camel in the background. :thumbsup2

Realityland... very cool book! I can remember riding on the Skyway -- thankfully no incidents during my rides!!

Light fixtures and the new porn thread... :rotfl: You may have started something. I'm off to check out that link right after this.

Hall of Presidents- I haven't been in that attraction for a good 15+ years. I'm really looking forward to seeing it again before it goes down for rehab. I wonder if they are already at work on Obama and McCain animatronics and they'll just scrap the "loser"??

The photo of you with Captain Hook covering up Tink pn your chest with the map is hysterical!! :lmao:

Tiki Room - I'm not sure I've been to "under new management" in WDW but I was in the original last summer in Disneyland and loved it. And to make things even better they have a special window for Dole Whips in the queue area. :cloud9:

I'm not sure I've seen a bad hair day but the day you call out as a good hair day was definitely a pretty picture. :)

Hotel window decoration - I'm hearing rumors that Disney is going to charge a fee if you want to decorate your window?? :confused3

And lastly thanks for the cheeseburger food porn..now I'm starving!
Thank you so much for all the nice things you say!

I am going to have to check out that website. I think I am really going to try to do the class in the spring. I was planning something for the paw prints but we never ended up doing it though we did get a picture of the paw prints later on in the week. I am really upset they are ending the characters at LTT. I do want to try LTT for lunch as I have heard good things about it.

I have way more pictures of COP if you would like me to email them to you. I was suprised how well they turned out since I was in the back of the theater. The Belle area is so pretty, that is the first time that I have seen it. On my list for next time is doing the Storytime. Belle is one of my favorites!

Oh! Kristine, COP wasn't open during our MNSSHP. They had Buzz's candy station on the COP line area instead. I wanted to do it again that night too.

LOVED this update SO MUCH!!! Tom and I too love COP, and will be so upset if anything ever happens to it!!! We often sit on it over and over again!!! Love all the castle shots---glad you enjoyed your LTT meal!!! It is a good one! For some reason I could only see half of your pics this time--not sure why the others came up as the red X box. Can't wait for more!!!! Jen

I keep saying this over and over. I LOVE YOUR PICTURES!! You can come on our trip and be our photographer!! You are helping me to see Disney in a whole new "light". :rotfl:

Great update...you got some amazing pictures. I especially like this one. :thumbsup2

That stinks about the family by the wishing well. Ugh I hate when people do that.

I'm looking forward to seeing your pins!

COP is just a classic. I wouldn't mind if they enhanced the attraction a bit but with the same storyline, you know?
Hmmm...I wonder about the pictures. Has anyone else had trouble viewing them?

I keep saying this over and over. I LOVE YOUR PICTURES!! You can come on our trip and be our photographer!! You are helping me to see Disney in a whole new "light". :rotfl:
Seriously, being a photographer is my dream job. I would love to have my own business taking photos. So much fun.

Thanks! The family really irritated me and when I tried to sneak in to get close I got evil daggers. It didn't help that they were speaking Spanish (I think) then I got paranoid and thought they were talking about me! :rotfl2:

That's funny...I told her it was closed and I thought I was lying. Now I feel better:rotfl: If you have more pics of COP that would be awesome.

You take pictures of stuff I don't even notice in the parks!

I like the random glittering. It's the little stuff like that which I love about Disney World.

"LL" no longer stands for Lady Lallie.....

LL = Lady Lampy! :rotfl:

Well hey, we all have our interests. Speaking of, I also love anything even slightly historical! I was also a History major in college, so there you go.

The pics are awesome!

CoP: I think I once read somewhere that Walt asked that the stipulation be made that it never leave WDW? Not sure on that but it seems as though I've heard that somewhere. We walked on it without a wait, too, but our CM wasn't corny about it... :sad2: But, by the end of that day, my DH decided that the theme song was starting to rank up there with the one from It's a Small World in terms of the way it gets stuck in your head!!

.

The pictures of the castle are just stunning! My favorite is the same as wdwgirl. Beautiful color combinations on that one.

I love cop too. I have to ride it every time. My whole family is fans of it, which is good as none of them share my love of the treehouse so I do get to ride it with company.

As you can see I tried something new with my hair and wished I hadn't. I was too tired to blow dry it all again since I had taken a shower after my nap. Oh well.

I think it looks cute! Why didn't you like it?

Oh, look -- a picture of the Castle with LIGHTS on it! :lmao:

Oh, look. Are those lamps? I hadn't noticed!

Do you have pics of them or do those get classified as souvenirs?

I wanted to eat at LTT before the character dining ended, but I guess I won't. :sad1: Do you think the meal was worth eating without the characters?

PM me your email and I will email them to you. :goodvibes

I would have been excited about the random glittering IF the CM had stuck around and talked to me. The fact that he was all sneaky about it kinda freaked me out.

Lady Lampy! :lmao: That just cracks me up.
That's awesome that you were a History major!
That's interesting about Walt and the COP. I hope it does stay in the parks forever. I just love it.

Thank you! :goodvibes I think it's much better to be able to ride with company than by yourself.

I think it looks cute! Why didn't you like it?
I like it when my hair is fuller looking.

Oh, look -- a picture of the Castle with LIGHTS on it! :lmao:
I snuck that one in there. :rotfl:

They do classify as souvenirs. If you look in one of the LTT photos though you can see one in the background. I do think the meal was worth eating without the characters. DH and I were just talking about that yesterday actually. We decided that we would go to LLT for dinner over CP. We really enjoyed the food. However, I am anxious that once they get rid of the characters they may change the meal. :confused3 I've also read on here that lunch is very good. They have a different menu and we would like to try that as well.

I like it when my hair is fuller looking.

I'll trade you -- there are times that my hair looks like a q-tip -- that's why it gets pulled back so much!

I snuck that one in there. :rotfl:

Uh-huh! ;)

I just realized something -- if you go over Christmas like you are planning to in a couple of years, then we have:

LL+Castle+Lights on Castle to look forward to!

I have looked at the lunch menu, and it looks soooo good! It will be hard deciding between the two -- especially because I am thinking of LTT on our first day next June, and I am not sure when we will be arriving yet. (Yes, I am already planning meals for nine months from now. :sad2: )

I also woke up this morning and realized I forgot to comment on two things in your TR: the random glittering and COP.

Random Glittering: WTH??? So bizarre -- but it's Disney so perfectly acceptable. If it were anywhere else, then I would have been worried for your safety! :lmao:

COP: I don't remember ever riding this ride. I know that somewhere in the 33 years of trips to WDW, my parents must have taken me on this, but despite repeated dredgings of my memories, I cannot remember doing so. I think this needs to be rectified on the next trip.

All caught up thanks to your handy links! Started just last night. LOVE all the pics- thanks for those~ really makes me excited for our trip in just 2-1/2 weeks!

Done. And Done. I hate my thin hair. It used to be really thick when I was little. I shudder when I think of my grandma and aunt who almost have no hair.

I just realized something -- if you go over Christmas like you are planning to in a couple of years, then we have:

LL+Castle+Lights on Castle to look forward to!
Seriously. Throw in Osborne Family Lights and I might just keel over from the excitement.

I told DH if the glittering had happened any where else I would have feared from my safety.

YOU MUST RIDE COP. DO NOT STOP AT BUZZ LIGHTYEAR, GO DIRECTLY TO COP. You might just have to do a trip down there for the express reason of riding COP!

Thanks for joining in! 2 1/2 weeks! How exciting!! :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo:

I just found your TR and I am really enjoying it. Your pictures are great! I love seeing the castle at night. I am looking forward to more!:thumbsup2
