She recently was remarried and I am so tempted to post the picture of her and new husband. They look like Mayor and Mrs. Mayor of Munchkinville. It's okay, I have come to terms with her. DF's grammy on the other hand She is adorable. She lives with her two sisters and we call them "The Ladies". They are three cute Italian women who are the way grandmothers should be!

Awww...Italian grandmas! We just went to see DH's this past weekend, because she's not doing so well, but is she as sweet as ever. Doesn't speak a word of English, so DH has to translate for me. Even with everything she has going on, she still asks me how my parents are.

Offense #1 MIL was appalled that DF and I would be paying for this wedding ourselves. My parents had paid for the first (small wedding & honeymoon) and I wanted to pay for this myself. I'm no beggar! She made comments about their lack of financial involvement until DF finally told her to shush. Then she apologized in an awkward moment I care not to re-live.
Offense #2 I am wearing a pair of my grandmother's vintage earrings on the wedding day. She died when I was 13 and it was important to me to have a piece of her with me. They are pink rhinestones, a little large but so my grandmother and me. MIL exclaimed, "Those are gaudy" after I showed them to her. Let me just say people I had told her they were my grandmother's. I am still upset about this and have a hard time letting go, since as I was telling her the story of how I remembered my grandmother showing me these earrings as a little girl in her jewelry box I was teary eyed and telling her just how much it meant for me to wear them.
Offense #3 She is constantly comparing our wedding to all of the families wedding that have come before and will be coming this fall. I am tired of it.
Offense #4 I am constantly hearing how we will regret not having a large wedding, and WHY can't we have dancing!?! Ugh.
Offense #5 She thought our food choices were too high in calories. Could you please tell me who thinks of their calorie intake on their wedding day? Before the big day I understand but pul-lease!
Offense #6 She wanted to wear black to the wedding, our garden wedding that is being held at noon mind you.
Offense #7 DF has seen the design of my dress, he has also seen pictures of me in it, because if I trust anyone's opinion it is his. As he so lovingly said to me yesterday when I came home from work yesterday, "Did you wear your hair like that all day?" I don't believe in that hocus pocus, maybe I'm jaded but I don't care. My marriage won't survive because he didn't see me in the stinkin' dress. This troubles MIL greatly, she thinks we are doomed. She was showing me the non-black dress she got instead and when DF walked into the room she yelped, covered her dress and made him cover his eyes. Newsflash...you aren't the bride!

Hoo boy. I know you posted about this some time ago, but let me just say it sounds like you're handling your FMIL with a massive amount of grace, considering what she's putting you through. And hello! I'm trying to get through your PTR, but work keeps intruding. Wanted to check in, though.

It's time for another list.

EPCOT

Spaceship Earth --- For some reason, the giant "golf ball" just says EPCOT to me. I enjoy it, as cheesy as it may be. I especially like getting out of the hot sun and relaxing for a bit. I am looking forward to the updates and not seeing the giant wand.

Club Cool --- I never knew about this spot until the DIS. I am going to try and get DF to try the Beverly.

Test Track --- Thanks to Samantha Brown, I think I can actually handle this ride without having a meltdown in line like the meltdown of Space Mountain circa 1995.

The Seas with Nemo & Friends --- Mine! Mine! Mine!

Turtle Talk with Crush --- Duuuuuuuuuuude!

Bruce's Shark World --- I can't freaking wait for the photo ops! I have seen so many adorable pictures here on the DIS, granted DF and I aren't as cute as some of the kids but oh yes, LL is going to have her head sticking out of shark's mouth!

Soarin' --- I have much anticipation for this ride, it was there on my last trip but the EX didn't want to ride, right there I had grounds for divorce! I am going to ride this ride, there even might be multiples of ride-ige.

Living with The Land --- I remember going on this with the fam back in 1995 and am looking forward to it again. It left an impression on 13 year old LL and she is still fascinated by the mickey shaped edibles.

Journey into Imagination with Figment --- Again, an oldie but remembered goodie from 1995, I developed a Figment obsession and many of my souvenirs were of him that trip.

Honey, I Shrunk the Audience --- I am going to dial back to 1995 again, and fondly remember my mother shrieking and jumping out of her seat when she thought "mice" were rubbing up against her legs. Ahhh, mom, the memories.

Impressions de France --- I figure since I took 6 years of French that I owe it to myself to see this.

The American Adventure --- I love shows like this, I have never seen this one but I just get all giddy about history, I just can't help myself.

Maelstrom --- Again, something I have never experienced but would like too.

Grand Fiesta Tour --- Never been, wanna do.

Fountain in Italy --- I have seen such pretty pictures of this and want a photo op here.

Beauty & The Beast Windows in France --- I have heard of these stained glass windows and would like to see them.

Illuminations --- I can't wait to see this and if my hopes of getting an outside table at Rose & Crown on our first night are fulfilled, it will be one of the first things crossed off my list.

What might be....
This is more than a might, it is a very strong desire. I really want to spend time exploring the World Showcase pavilions and just taking my time to stop and smell the dole whips....slushie cokes...what have you. Insert your beverage of choice. I have a feeling we will find an alcoholic beverage of choice at EPCOT. I will keep you posted.
I also would like to do the Disney Visa Meet N' Greet, but I must find more details, I wrote them down somewhere...this is why a trip binder is simply a must!

Food. Food and more Food.
Rose & Crown Pub --- This is scheduled for our first night as previously mentioned. I love Fish n' Chips and hope these ones don't disappoint.
Coral Reef --- I have said it before and I will say it again, I want to eat here because of Danny Tanner. Thank you, Bob Saget.
Les Chefs des France --- I am really intrigued by the reviews I have read and think of this ADR as a culinary adventure.
Le Cellier --- This is an iffy. Truly. I am torn still but for right now I am keeping it. Stay tuned for developments.
I also want to snack around the world as my stomach and snack credits allow.

The more I make these lists the more excited I am becoming, which I didn't think was possible.
