It's a Jolly Holiday with LL. *FINISHED* Final Update on pg. 58.

Day 6. Part 3.

I am on a roll so I am going to keep on going.

We last left off at the end of The American Adventure. I felt like we had to get our move on since we had taken such long detours waiting for Belle, the hissy fit and The American Adventure. We took off for Italy.

Now I had a must do for Italy. I must get a picture in front of the fountain. I was also really looking forward to Italy because my brother went awhile back, and the pictures were gorgeous and he had a great time. Also because Marc is half Italian and I was happy that we could explore the Italy pavilion together. You know?

Maybe it was because I had built it up so much in mind but I felt just "meh" about Italy. I wasn't very impressed. The pavilion was beautiful but I guess it just wasn't my thing. It was neither of ours favorite pavilion. We'll get to our favorites list at the end of the TR, but safe to say Italy doesn't make it. :guilty:

I especially enjoy this photo. I think some of my favorite light fixture pictures are the ones that also show the detail around them.
2869360152_d17fa1210c.jpg

Marc went to get some gelato and I went to find a comfy bench. It was very very breezy in WS this day. I was almost getting cold out the wind was so fierce.

I found a bench near this guy, who I enjoyed quite a bit. I started singing Dominic the Donkey in my head.
2868532043_2dba70527f.jpg

While I was waiting for Marc, a photopass photographer was in the area. We had seen this particular lady a few times throughout the day. It looked like she settled in Italy to do some pictures. She took a photo of a couple trying to pull the donkey. I don't know if it was her idea or theirs but I was greatly amused by the idea.

Marc came back with the gelato. I did not care for it. Marc loved it.
2869362390_0a4c36a43f.jpg

After Marc finished his gelato, we went over to the photopass lady. She took some really great pictures of us. She also took a few with our camera. I really liked her. She was a lot of fun and you could tell she really loved her job. I think when I move to Orlando that I should become a photopass photographer.

I should have asked to do the Donkey shot. Oh well.

Next up was Germany. I was losing steam. I was tired but I was determined to get through all of WS. I think on a WS showcase day it would be very beneficial for Marc and I to have a lunch ADR so that we could unwind and relax a bit. Get a second wind, if you will.

Look at all the lights in the miniature train display!

Day 6. Part 3. Continued.

I really enjoyed the feel of the Germany pavilion.
2868547241_7c4d01e04f.jpg

We went into a lot of the German shops. I loved the Christmas one.

2868549589_e8666cdc72.jpg

We couldn't find a snack that we really wanted so we decided to pass.

There was a very long line for Snow White as we were leaving Germany. I wanted to stop but the line was long so I decided to bypass it. I had to get a picture for my cubicle mate though. Her favorite is Snow White. I think I did a pretty good job! Snow White would walk out to get the next person in line so I had a clear shot of her, just not with Dopey.

2869381214_5e6c7e27f9.jpg

I love how her feet are! She looks like one of those "broken down dolls" that they are always talking about on America's Next Top Model.

Next was the outpost. I think this sums it up nicely...I wrote this in my TR Journal.

"What is that anyways?"

Enough said.

Though we did take a few fun photos.

2868562447_bd79c48a3c.jpg

2869392952_5f144de02a.jpg

We headed straight to Maelstrom. It was a 5 minute wait posted but it was more like walk on. Why oh Why do they have fastpass for that? Neither of us have ever been on Maelstrom before. This is how I would like to sum it up, by a quote from my dear Husband.

"That was like a bad acid trip. Or what I imagine a bad acid trip would be like."

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: We kept looking at each other during the ride, we had no idea what was going on. Weird. Bizarre. Just plain ol' creepy. We did NOT stay for the movie.

2868565799_5e73b89ccf.jpg

There was one thing I was not going to miss in Norway. School Bread!
2869396586_cef10edcbd.jpg

I am drooling just looking at these pictures this morning. School Bread was so yummy that I was sad that we shared a piece. I wanted my own! We both loved it and we are both sad to hear that they have changed it. Apparently they have added caramel or something to the glaze. I will still try it next time we go. Yummmmmmmmmmy! We enjoyed the covered sitting area off the shop too. It was nice to sit and relax.

2869398618_06caf07258.jpg

2869399132_f374bee290.jpg

Next up was Mexico. Let me tell you, I was so happy that we were almost done with World Showcase.

We headed straight inside to go ride The Gran Fiesta Tour. We were very impressed with the inside of the temple. It was beautiful and it really felt like you were outside in Mexico at night. Not that I have been, but I have an imagination folks.

2869400578_b9722f9cbc.jpg

The boat ride was okay. I don't think I would do it every trip but it wasn't awful. We both were intrigued by San Angel Inn and would like to eat there one day.

After Mexico, we had had it. We were so over WS. But we couldn't leave, we had a Le Cellier ADR that we weren't going to miss. Marc really wanted to ride Test Track. I was nervous. I agreed, thinking that the wait would be unbearable.

On our way, we took a few pictures in front of the fountain and Spaceship Earth. The pictures look like they are leaning.

2869488524_8772c450a1.jpg

2869489898_1943e66527.jpg

Wrong again. We had maybe a ten minute wait. I believe the wait was posted as 25 minutes. When it was our turn to ride, we asked the CM if we could get a row to ourselves so that we could put a seat between us. I was worried about fitting but it was comfy. The seatbelts were plenty big and we were comfortable. The ride was kinda scary but it wasn't like "OHMYGODIAMGOINGTODIESCARY." It was tolerable scary. I am actually looking forward to riding it again.

2868662487_b001f04c75.jpg

Where do they take your picture? I don't want to look like a freak the next time.

We still had time to kill before our 8:05 Le Cellier ADR. We decided that we wanted to try Soarin' again. We had about a 10 or 15 minute wait. I didn't think that was too bad. We were sat in the 3rd row again. I can't wait to ride Soarin' next trip!

After that, we still had time to kill. I think it was after 7 but before 7:30. We were exhausted. We just wanted to eat and leave before the bus crush after Illuminations. We went over to England again. I wanted to look at that bunny again in the Toy Store.

2868631209_c7116279a4.jpg

How cute are they? I really wanted one still but Marc was giving me the look. You know the look? The Look that says, "WHYTHEHECKDOYOUNEEDTHATWOMAN? ISWEARYOUAREINSANE." Needless to say with that look, after our long day I did not have the energy to combat the look and buy the bunny. A purchase that I am still mourning. I took a picture to remember them by. I told Marc just yesterday that he should find a way to get that bunny for me for Christmas. ;)

We headed back to Canada and Off Kilter had just started performing!
2869463364_7047b4ac88.jpg

They were very good and very attractive.

2868634839_899c3bb311.jpg

A nice CM offered to take our picture but Marc wouldn't put his hat back on!

2869465916_10547f15a3.jpg

2868630561_932bde58c5.jpg

There was the most precious bunny out by Le Cellier. And some annoying people were trying to scare it and make it go away. That is not the Disney way!

2869412074_3c28dea555.jpg

I want to live in this Cottage. It reminds me of the book called "Mandy" by Julie Andrews. Sigh.

2869470914_bb9e7d95d3.jpg

Finally, it was time to check into Le Cellier.

Sadly this is the only picture I have.
2869411358_59fa6b3ab0.jpg

I was too tired and cranky to want to dig out my camera for food porn. I know, what the heck was I thinking? During our meal at Le Cellier I was very preoccupied with getting to the bus before Illuminations was over. I just wanted to go home to Wilderness Lodge. I was spent, done, finished, zombie like. I didn't even get my Cheddar Cheese Soup that I had been dreaming about. That was how finished I was.

Marc ordered the Strip Steak. He thought the seasoning was very good. He enjoyed it immensely.

I ordered the Mushroom Filet but with the Cheddar Mashed Potatoes. So yummy. Our CM waiter was very good. He was pleasant and knew we were in a rush. I felt bad about that so I tipped him generously. We ordered our desserts to go. We both got the Chocolate Mousse. More on that later.

We ate and flew out of the restaurant. I feel bad about this. I should have enjoyed the meal. It was delicious. Le Cellier will be on our list of ADR's when we go next time. Mostly, I want to go to make it up to Marc because I rushed him out of there so quickly. He loved Le Cellier, as did I but I didn't really get to enjoy it.

Illuminations had already started when we got out of Le Cellier. We did pause briefly to see some of it. It was pretty but my feet were tired and I wanted to sit.

We made it to the bus and one pulled right in. We sat for about 10 minutes while the bus slowly filled up. I was very happy to be on that bus. We got back to WL and up to our room and found the cutest towel animal ever!

2869475176_bacb135aff.jpg

A little birdy! She was so adorable. Yes, she was a she. We called her Little Tweet Tweet Birdy Girl. I was ECSTATIC to find a towel animal. I turned around to the vanity area and what do I see.....

2868645405_3d81c008f5.jpg

WOO HOO! Thank you Wilderness Lodge Mousekeeper. She completely made my night.

We had planned to go swimming that night but I was so exhausted that I just didn't want to move. So we did the next best thing. We plugged the camera into the TV, watched our pictures in a slideshow while we ate our Chocolate Mousse.

Let me just tell you how wonderful that Chocolate Moose was. The Le Cellier deserts didn't really jazz me up for our meal there while we were planning. Nope. The Chocolate Mousse didn't look good! Can you imagine that? Well let me just tell you, that I think it was the best dessert we had all week. So creamy, so delicious, oh my. Melt in your mouth yummy. :cloud9:

Coming up....
A relaxing day at Wilderness Lodge.

All this talking about light fixtures with legs.... i couldn't stop thinking about this one:rotfl:

OMG! I just spewed Diet Coke! :rotfl:

Ooh and an LL update. This is turning out to be a great Sunday!!

Oh, what wonderful World Showcase updates and photos!!! I am so glad that you were able to locate your Photopass card, and that Marc forgave you in time to take a Fez picture! :lmao: All of your photos are just gorgeous, but I like the Morocco ones best!
I thought of you when we took the Fez pictures!

I love that your light fixture grew legs, LL!
:goodvibes

Comments in somewhat random order:

Italy pavilion. I know what you mean. You have to give it another chance. During Flower and Garden. It looks AMAZING them with all of the flowers around. You are contemplating an April/May trip... yes? :rolleyes1

The sky looks very threatening! I'm glad it didn't pour on you!

The first thing I noticed in Snow White's picture was her feet-- glad you commented on it too!

Love, love, LOVE all the pictures of you two with the hats. Precious. Those would look cute in one of those sequential frames with a bunch of pictures in a row.

I know what you mean about Maelstrom! Funny the guy behind me this past visit said the same thing "that's it?" He didn't mention bad acid trips. ;)

You should try San Angel Inn next time. I'll be telling you what I thought in my TR shortly (shameless plug) but overall I'd say it's mostly the atmosphere you'd be going for... the food is OK. But it seems very romantical... or so I thought sitting there by myself.

Sorry you were so tired for your Le Cellier experience. Good call on taking dessert to go... I didn't even think of that. :headache: Now I have to go back!

WL mousekeeping rocks. I didn't get any towel animals other than the mickey head on my bed.

I forgot to say something during my update!?!

Did anyone watch SNL last night??

Ben Affleck in one of the skits actually used the term "Very Romantical".

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I was very excited!

:rotfl: This would so be my DH as well! You did a much better job. ::yes::

Sorry to hear about the spat that spanned two countries, but too funny on the card being down your shirt! Glad you and Marc made up.

I have tried to post my light fixtures pics on your light thread three times now and each time either Photobucket, my computer, or the boards went wonky. I will try to share the light love again soon!

I was so excited to see another update!! :cheer2: :woohoo: Beautiful photos as always! DH and I found something to love in Italy: Tutto Italia. The day we were in Epcot there were no photopass photographers around WS.:confused3 You were able to get some really cool pictures. Your towel animals are so cute! I love that they made a toothbrush holder! I hope that you get your bunny. It was so cute!:)

OK I am back from my long 2 weeks of crazywork and am catching up on your TR! :surfweb:

Yay birthday day!! I am the same way with rules. I am a real goody two-shoes and Jack is totally the opposite. It doesn't help that he gets away with EVERYTHING. It makes me crazy, I'm so paranoid about getting in trouble!

I also went through the same thing with Jack at the Backlot Tour. They asked for volunteers and I pushed him to do it and he wouldn't. He was thinking about it and then I made the mistake of saying "Just make sure you're not the guy who has to talk on the phone." My big mouth! No way was he volunteering after that. What's with guys, why won't they just trust us and do what we tell them?

Ohhhh Wilderness Lodge, how I miss thee! You checked in the day before we checked out. Too bad we never ran into each other! I love the pictures from Marc's walk around the WL while you were resting and how he even got a light fixture for you  As for the little kid peeing in the bush....Ewwwwww. :crazy2: Also: I was just looking at your pictures of the bridge in the lobby, and I don't think I ever walked across it! :sad2: I don't know what is wrong with me. I guess I'll have to go back.

I love this picture! Having those roses in the front was really cool - it made your pictures of the castle so unique.

The Moroccan slushie looks soooo good...I had my first frozen Moroccan beverage on our last trip and it was incredible, I need to try them all!

I forgot to say something during my update!?!

Did anyone watch SNL last night??

Ben Affleck in one of the skits actually used the term "Very Romantical".

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I was very excited!

YES Ben Affleck was hilarious last night! I taped the show and watched it this morning. (We conked out at 10pm...still recovering from Halloween!). I think I am going to watch it again, Ben was so funny. He does great impressions. The QVC skit was amazing too.

Great update. It looks like it was a great day. Sorry you didn't get the chance to really enjoy Le Cellier. Epcot is always so exhausting, especially World Showcase. I'm always amazed at how tired I am at the end of a day there, because it looks like it should be so easy.

Wow! You were on a roll today!!!

Sorry that Italy was such a let down for you, but the PP pics are cute!

We always feel the same way about Maelstrom, but still always end up riding it. Short, but you gotta love those trolls!

Another great update. I didn't know about some of the Photopass shots...gotta remember those! Looks like you really saw everything World Showcase has to offer (other than a Grand Marnier slushie in France...how did you pass up that????)

Fun towel animals. Am I the only one that was slightly freaked out that they touched your toothbrush though? I only say this because we got a toothbrush holder towel animal (I think it was a duck) and they put DD's toothbrush and toothpaste in there. I found it a little weird!

Wow! Big updates! Love love them all! You are such a good reporter, LL! You could work for the podcast crew, you're so good! PP Photog would be a great job for you!

Thanks for all the wonderful pictures in your update!!! Since we don't really get to enjoy the WS right now because Megs is too little to appreciate it, I really enjoyed living vicariously through your past two updates!!!! I feel like I got to experience so many parts of the WS that I normally never would get to see!!! Thanks LL!

Those egg rolls certainly looked good! So much so that's what I ate right after reading your report. Now if only I had box of school bread in my freezer too!

AWESOME updates, LL!! And more amazing pictures. I think photopass photog would be a perfect job for you! :thumbsup2

We were contemplating a May trip but we are going to just go for December. Unless of course I win the lottery or something awesome like that.
I think San Angel is on the list, mostly for atmosphere. I am going to check out the menu again. Though I am torn between San Angel and Rose & Crown since our Fish & Chips were so delish when we had them.
That chocolate mousse was so good!

He stole it from you! :cheer2:

Woo Hoo! I missed seeing your posts. I hate breaking rules, I am always so worried that I am going to get caught adn get in trouble.

I am not a big drinker at all and if I have just one or two drinks I want to fall asleep which would have been bad. Can you imagine Marc trying to get me back to WL with me half asleep? :lmao:
The toothbrush thing was freaky, especially because she put the cover on mine too! It was laying next to it when we left and she put it on. I ran my toothbrush under some hot water before I used it. :rolleyes1

Wow! Big updates! Love love them all! You are such a good reporter, LL! You could work for the podcast crew, you're so good! PP Photog would be a great job for you!
