In the USA, the game Professor Layton & the Pandora's Box is called Professor Layton & the Diabolical Box... That makes no sense... Pandora's box not well known in the USA?

CRAP! Just saw an advert saying Jersey Shore was coming to MTV... I'm never telling my sisters that the show exists. It's the type of thing they like.

pandora's box is well known in america. Perhaps they thought that the diabolical box was a better marketing name, however.

It is weird because when I first arrived in St. John's people always asked me how I could live in like a jungle with Elephants and Lions and it being so hot. It is not really like that at all in Johannesburg.
I know that South Africa is a newly industrialised country, thanks to Geography...

Could be like the name change from Harry Potter & the Philosophers Stone to Harry Potter & the Sorcerers Stone.

Yeah thats what I mean. I think "diabolical box" rolls a lot better than "pandora's box" in the title. And the exact origin of the box isn't really pertinent to the game, if I'm not mistaken?

LOL fail xD

Wow, when I joined here I thought I would be the only Disney fan who lived in South Africa. Ha

No, I haven't lol
I wish D:
I haven't even been to Africa :/
Well, I've been to Casablanca. But that was crap >.<

Right now in Geography, we're looking at the development gap, so we're seeing how countries differ in how developed they are. Earlier in the year, we did independent learning. Can't remember all the choices, but I chose tectonic hazards. We had to find case studies from MEDCs and LEDCs, but I wanted to find out all the NICs of the world and have a case study from one of those too. They are South Africa, China, Turkey, Brazil, Mexico, Malaysia, the Phillipines, and India.

Wow... I thought I forgot most of them, and placed in the wrong countries. Checked Wikipedia, and I only forgot India :teeth:

So far in the game, all I know is that anyone who opens the box dies. They do say that's the reason the box is called pandora's box. Not sure how it goes in the USA.

Ah, the real name of the box is the Elysian Box, the sinister relic known colloquially as "Pandora's Box".

Sounds extremely interesting.

My favourite lesson for this year is swimming. Ha

I wish I went swimming more, but they built a new leisure centre near us & closed the old one. The new one is crap. I don't think it gets deeper then 6ft, unlike the older one which went down to around 10ft? They also didn't build a waterslide...

I wonder if there are such things as candy parties...
It would be cool having a candy themed birthday party
