I was trying to sleep, but that didn't work!!

I had a cup of coffee around 4:45 this afternoon. I don't know about it's caffeine content, but it did come from a vending maching...could that explain it??

No more coffee after 3pm!!

Well, what's really keeping me up tonight is stress...my husband is away until July 22nd...I miss him. I'm getting my hair dyed by a professional tomorrow...this should be a good thing, but you know. Then there's the whole issue of the kitty, Honey. I posted a few months ago about her having surgery on her nose. Well, DH chickened out on that, but I rescheduled it for Friday. It's kinda an elective surgery...she has a tumor growing from her nostril, totally blocking it. She's had it since she was a stray and found us four years ago...they are going to laser it out. I know the surgery will probably go fine, but still... :guilty: ...very nervous about it! I will be a complete basket case on Friday. Keep her in your thoughts.

Well, at least the weather is fairly nice down here...I really feel for all of you dealing with the flooding right now...doubt you're on the DIS right now to read this, but you all are in my prayers.

Have a nice night, folks...sorry for the long rambling post...maybe I am getting tired after all!

Well, it's not very late here on the West coast, but I don't think I'll sleep very well. DH & I are on vacation. We're on a section of the Central California coast that our cell phones don't get reception. I did get the chime on my cell phone that I have a message, but I can't retrieve it without service. When we cross the street and go out onto the boardwalks on the water, we were able to make calls late this afternoon. So now I have to wait 'til day break to go out there and retrieve the message. I did talk to both of my sons and my Mom earlier & told them all about the lack of cellphone reception. They all have the # to the motel we're at, but still...I HATE being out of touch.

Hopefully, you'll be asleep soon. (Let us know how Friday goes.)

I am about to toddle off to bed.

Sorry, about your DH being away 'til the 22nd--it seems along way off. Could you spend some pre-bed time planning a surprise for him? Maybe it will work like counting sheep! :cloud9:

I am all whacked out as we have a big event coming up on the 15th of July.
I was put in charge of it when another person stepped down, just 2 months ago. I missed the meeting as I was ill--hey, that'll teach me! :teeth:
A lot of things were left undone or not tied up :faint:

I mean there is a famous author coming for the first 2 hrs! :scared:

But it's no sleep for all the worrying about getting the publicity out, putting up posters--this will take 2 full days--, keeping the artists happy; artists pulling out at the last moment; others wanting in at the last moment & still wanting to get in the publicity! making sure the volunteers all show up; intense praying for good weather--pretty dicey here this spring in New Hampshire!
I do have some help, but we are woefully understaffed--I mean, I designed the posters, wrote the press releases, put advance releases out, cleaned the bathroom, mopped the floors, bought the beverages to be sold, got raw sheeps wool, mended dresses, phoned volunteers, am working all that day... :scared1:

Oh, yeah, and keeping DH happy because of all the extra hours :rolleyes1
Homeschooling DS17, who is getting very teen cranky! :smooth:

Now I find out I must check out a grant that was given us, but is in the files of another, quite touchy :furious: former boss & this is time dependent :crazy2:

I just know your kitty will do well, but it is always stressfull when those we love have to have surgery, whether elective or absolutely imperative.
You are a concerned Mom of a very fortunate fur-baby :sunny:
You & your Honey will be in my thoughts on Friday. Please keep us posted!

Well, my solution is 2 tranquilizers, & I do believe they're kicking in! :thumbsup2

Good Night!
Jean

It's almost 3 a.m. here, and I'm actually up working. I had to take a break.

I think DH thought I was trying to get out of helping with Vacation Bible School this week when I kept putting him off (he's in charge), but I knew what this week would be like. I've got several deadlines that fall on Friday, and it's awful. If I make it to Friday night, I'll sure be glad when it gets here.

Good luck with the surgery (and with the rest of the night's sleep)!

It's 9.15 a.m. here in Glasgow, Scotland. I'm at work, ready to start my day. Wish it was still 3.00 a.m. that would mean I was still in bed.

It is 1:38 am here in southern California and we just walked in the door from Disneyland about a 1/2 an hour ago. I am trying to wind down abit so I can fall asleep. We wanted to get one more day in before the summer blackout days begin and then we can't go back until late August.

Ive been awake since 3am here in west TN. I get up every morning at 430 to be at work by 515.
I just couldnt go back to sleep.
I ve had oned diet pepsi and I think I'll have a nother one, cause I need the extra caffine.
