Its 27degrees in ALABAMA!!!!!

I think we're supposed to be down to 24º tonight here in Baton Rouge. Trust me, this is unseasonably cold for this far south! We're usually in shorts up until Christmas!

Brrrrrrr....

Channel 9 says 23 . We usually get a few degrees colder out here in the 'burbs. They said we tied a record dating back to the 1900's.

Bring on the snow (I wish!)

In TN right it's 26 degrees outside. It's too darn cold. I don't suppose to in a heavy coat right now. I suppose have no coat on. I am sitting at the computer with a blanket on it's so cold.

I wrap up in a blanket in the middle of summer, but that's because I stay in the basement (bedroom and tv room) with the AC on (least till I get too cold and turn it off). I don't even want to take the dog for a walk when it's this cold.

I know it's cold every morning when I take DS to school but this morning I was making a right turn on to the main street and my tires just spun. You see, there is water that drains down the street along the curb and across the street where I turn through and it was a frozen stream! Luckily it didn't send me spinning . I looked up at the thermometer on my rear view and it said 28 degrees and this was at 8:30 a.m. It was bright and sunny but it had gotten a wee bit chilly during the night. I know I must be crazy but newly transplanted from Calif. and coming from boring weather I love this weather. Both DS and I are really able to feel and get into the spirit of the season.

Well it's about 18 degrees here right now. Too cold for me. OTOH, I am going to check out the fireplace today and see about getting it going. Nothing like a good fire while you put up Christmas decorations. And, no...I am not hoping for snow this winter.

It was 16 this morning in North Carolina when I went out to feed the horses....put my long johns on and wore gloves and it wasn't too bad. Their water had about an inch of ice on the top!!! Who would think you needed a heated water buckets in North Carolina!!!
