Itinerary Question – Short Visit

I am going to be at Disney for a really quick visit December 6-8. I am traveling with dd, who just turned 2 and my parents (73 & 85 – but in GREAT shape – walk miles every day). We are staying at the Dolphin. My sister and her family will be at the Yacht Club the night of the 6th.

We are going to meet sis for dinner the night of the 6th in Epcot at the Living Seas. My parents plan to go to the processional after dinner. I will just relax with dd – either enjoying Epcot or going back to the room for an early night.

The 7th (Sunday) we have reservations with sis for Pooh brunch at MK at 10:30. We hope to take advantage of EE but I will not push it. I don’t want to wake a sleeping toddler so we can be the first to ride Dumbo!

Now for my question - Which itinerary would you suggest:

1) We bug out of MK after brunch and head to MGM – returning to the MK to finish my “list” on Monday.

2) We stay at MK after brunch – heading to Epcot for dinner on our way back to the hotel. Do MGM on Monday.

Will the crowds at MK or MGM be worse on Sunday? Looking at web sites is says that “historically” the crowds at MGM are larger on Sunday. Reading the boards the parks with EE are the busiest (MK on Sunday) The Mousemeet will also be at the MK on Sunday and MGM on Monday. Even though it will be a fun group of people (if I had more time I’d join them!) I’m very concerned about crowds for such a short visit,

We will be eating at Epcot on Sunday night. My Mom is an Epcot NUT so we will be spending as much time there as dd will allow.

DD does sleep very well in her stroller so I’m not too concerned about going back to the rooms for naps. We will be back next year with dh for a week! I just want to enjoy my short visit and hit some of the highlights.

Any help would be appreciated. We did the same trip last year and it did not go very well. I spent WAY too much time waiting in line for Dumbo and Small World with dd.

I have never been to WDW in early Dec., but from what I have heard it is pretty quiet then. I would plan for both situations then let the crowds and closing times at the parks determine which plan I follow. If MK closes early it may be hard to get back to do your list.
