Itinerary - opinions please!

I'm getting ready to go on a short trip next week. Cast of characters are two 30-something women, and two pricesses, ages 5 and 3.5. Arriving Wednesday afternoon, staying offsite at Staybridge Suites in LBV.

Wednesday: arrive; 5:50 ADR at 1900 Park Fare, followed by Wishes Cruise
Thursday: MGM
Friday: MK
Saturday: AK

My biggest question is whether Friday is really the best day for MK. I figured we should avoid Thursday, since MK has EMH that day, and I've always found Saturdays at MK to be horrendous (this is coming from someone who generally goes off-season, like January). BUT - Friday night is a Grad night. I realize the MK closes at 7:00, which is fine - I don't think we'll be doing really long days with the kids anyway. But - will the fact that it's a Grad night have a big effect on the daytime crowds?

Thanks for any advice! I consider myself a pretty seasoned WDW traveler, but
1. I've never gone in May - I'm worried about crowds
2. It's a short trip - only 3 full days there
3. The other mom & child traveling with DD & I are new to WDW, and I really want to make sure they enjoy it!!!

Friday definitely seems like the best choice for MK. Maybe the Grad night will work in your favor, and the crowds will go elsewhere since MK is closing so early that night.

We were in MK in June one year when they closed at 7:00 pm (post 9/11 when attendance was down) and that was probably the least crowded I had ever seen MK. Since it was closing before dark, there was no Spectro or fireworks scheduled and I think that combined with the early closing must have kept people away.
