Itinerary Help- Two days New Years with EP

First time going to Universal, and just two adults.

We likely will be checking into our universal hotel Jan 1 mid morning. We would like to do some of the parks this day, and then will do a full day on Jan 2.

Since we won't be hitting the parks until Mid day Jan 1, what park should we start with and what rides? I assume that on our early day Jan 2 we will start with DA and then take the train to IOA and do Hogsmede. Should we do other headliners on Jan 1?

We won't be doing hulk, but anything else is game.

Since you are staying onsite, the best advice I can give you is this: Don't worry about it, have fun. With the unlimited EP (especially now that Forbidden Journey, Gringott's and Hogsmeade Express are included) your need to plan out your days is not really necessary.

You do have the right idea, though, on doing the Potter areas on your full day. As far as the first, I'd just peruse the official site and see which parks attractions (aside from all things Potter) appeal to you and go with that.

Some of the hotels have a 4:00 check in

Use the baggage service to hold your belongings so you will be free to hit the parks early afternoon once you check in

Could be many requests for later check out on the first

Check the park map online and read up on the rides and shows in each park

That would help you make a plan on which park for your partial day
